Wrong product sent!

Wrong touchup paint sent. They sent touch up pen 2oz instead of the 5oz spray can I ordered and was charged for! To take this back to the dealership is a 20 mile RT for me and would require I take off work. I will not be ordering from them again.

After replacing my Holden Cruze 2013…

After replacing my Holden Cruze 2013 JH1.8 5 speed engine which went pretty well no issues or problems as many think overall but when I signed up with Acdelco tech-line system delivery things looked straight forward during sps programming that been said issue's arise the software download was picked up as a threat contaminated with virus errors glitches that was affecting/infecting my computer to run normally I’ve disabled my Norton antivirus with little improvement affects I’ve contacted the company several times to resolve this problem they recommended to remove and reinstall the software with new updates which I did without any success but continuous failures it was very frustrating and clear to me why many garages mechanics won’t waste their time performing vehicles programming tasks it’s mostly unfortunately unsuccessful and very costly time consuming following up with the company to fix their service

Bought an AC/Delco battery at the Chevrolet dealership. The unit lasted a little over 7-years before I noticed it did not have the ooomph at engine starting time as it had in the past. With cold winter weather here, I played it safe and bought a new battery. Seven-years of starting a V8 engine and always reliable is excellent.

I had an AC Delco battery work without issue for 7 years (bought as refurbished as well). Then, after several times, I started leaving my headlights on for a day after turning off the car and it still worked after jumping! It finally died but really it was my own fault. I was impressed by the longevity. It would've lasted much longer if I had remembered to turn my lights off. Honestly, it behaved like new even after the 1st incident.

I had 2 instances where AC Delco parts failed me. First instance I was on a trip and experienced a miss fire with check engine light. Found #8 spark plug failed. The complete ceramic with electrode came loose from the outer jacket. This means the complete center of the plug was sliding in and out of the jacket portion. These were AC plugs with approximately 40k miles. I have the plug. Second instance, I was changing oil on my 2018 colorado. I removed the oil filter (PF2262G) to find the inner cardboard pleats tore away from the bottom portion of the filter. Part was hanging into the oil passage. Sure hope nothing was sucked into my engine. I was a certified mechanic for 34 years. I will no longer use AC Delco parts. I also saved the filter if I encounter engine problems.

Not as pictured on their catalog

I bought ACDelco professional left, right outer tie rods and left, right ball joints. The professional cost more compared to others. The ACDelco catalog and the online auto supply store where showing the same pictures of the parts. It clearly shows 555 made in Japan engraved on the parts. To me, it is more expensive but it is worthed because it is made in Japan. When the parts came, the tie rods where made in Taiwan and the left ball joint is way off quality from right ball joint. One ball joint is okay, 555 made in Japan. The other BJ is made from ???. Nothing engraved on the BJ and off quality compared to other BJ made in Japan. Don't be fooled by the pictures on their catalog showing made in Japan. Only one of the 4 parts that I bought is made in Japan. The online store wants me to return it at my own expense which is expensive.

Tech Information That's Obviously Wrong

ACDelco, like make manufacturers, does not sell parts directly. Therefore, the only reason a site like ACDelco.com exists is for people to get information about the parts they sell - and that's important. So it is very disappointing that you cannot trust the information there. To take a recent example: I was researching batteries for a 2012 Dodge Durango. The most important two specs of a car battery are Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) and Reserve Capacity (RC). The results for the Durango showed three batteries; all three, even the "High Reserve" model, were shown as having the exact same specs (700 CCA and RC 140). Worse, the stated CCA of the two "Gold" batteries did not agree with the CCA shown in their photos (800 CCA). Finally the CCA specified for the exact same battery (94RAGM) on Amazon and Summit Racing was different again (850 CCA).

So depending on where you look, the CCA for a 94RAGM ACDelco battery is either 700, 800, or 850, and we are also to believe that their "High Reserve" 94RAGMHR battery has the exact same capacity (both spec RC as 140).
