They simply have not improved at all. They don't take on creative criticism. They just go nuts and threaten you with a letter with a headline incapital red letters telling you to desist. 😆 🤣 😂

Top class service!

Having used Ace Finish many times over the years, as have family members, they recently(at short notice) very kindly repaired one of my tyres which had developed a fault. We have previously had alloy repairs, body repairs and dent removal (not to the same car! ). I cannot recommend them highly enough

I had a fantastic experience with Ace…

I had a fantastic experience with Ace Finish. They did a superb job repairing several minor dents on my car, and the results were flawless. The service from start to finish was excellent, and my car was returned valeted and absolutely gleaming. Everything was completed in a very short space of time and at excellent value for money and brilliant customer service.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional, high-quality car body repairs.

I have an 11 year old Merc and regularly curb my wheels due to my poor parking. I always go to Ace Finish to get them repaired because they offer the best value for money repairs in the area. I was shocked when they showed me the damage inside the alloy wheels before they began working on them. I don't think most of us realise how bad they get after clipping the curb or hitting a pot hole. Of the many repairs I've had, they've straightened them, welded them, milled them and still they look good as new after painting. The office ladies and lads in the workshop are all approachable, helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended!

Have used Ace finish multiple times…

Have used Ace finish multiple times over the years for my alloys and body work. Always found them to be professional and good value.
The front of house are polite and knowledgable.
Even the option of a loan car was a great help.

My Mazda 2

My Mazda 2, now 10 years old, needed a face lift. This included refurbishing the alloy wheels, repairing a side dent and generally cleaning up the paint work. Also the rear number plate lights needed replacing.
I am delighted with it; it looks like a new car!
The staff were most helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Ace Finish. Thank you so much.

DIamond cut wheel refurbishment

Took my (1 month old car) wheel for diamond cut refurbishment.
The wheel did have bad curbing.
I spoke to the guy on arrival and was reassured that when seeing the wheel he said they do these all the time.
My expectation was for the wheel to come back as new.

However the when diamond cut wheel was completed it left a 50mm section that looked like it had been ground off as a (small) bevel on the edge of the wheel. The rest of the wheel looks fine.

I emailed with my concerns, and asked to come in as he could see why I had questions.
I did. I spoke to the manager and he told me as the damage was bad they used a rasp on the edge where the cut was deeper and the diamond cut would not able to go that deep.

He told me that the diamond cut cannot go any further as the wheel was already cut as far as it could (and then mentioned something about to the diamond cutting machine having a wobble!? - Maybe he meant something different)

Finally he said that the rasped bevel part was not too noticeable. And maybe the problem was my expectations - but they do not have time to describe everything to every customer.

My hope to resolve was to have a better or similar finish diamond cut part of the wheel, not look like a rasp finished Bevel.

I realise this not going to be resolved but my (hopefully constructive) comment is:
You should take time to explain what the customer is to expect.
Customers should check what outcome they can expect from you.

Reply from Ace Finish

So, a wonderful review from Mr Payne. Lets just take the time to reply to his comments. An email enquiry showing that Mr Payne had curbed his new car alloy ( 1 month old ) more than half way round the wheel. Not just clipped it driven it down a curb crushing the edge of the alloy. In an email he was offer a courtesy car for convenience, but this was not required, also not in his review, and the price was acceptable, his words. In his own words again, he emails to say he is precious about his new car and would it be safe. This is totally natural to be worried about your Skoda, and we again reassured him the car would be kept inside etc.
My manager who took the wheel in did indeed reassure Mr Payne we have done this wheel before and on the brief inspection in the car park there was no reason to think there would later be an issue.

Job done Mr Payne collects the car, I can only assume he inspected the wheel as the previous email stated he was Presious. He paid and left with no issues. The following morning, I received an email stating his disappointment and how even his daughter “ who is not very technical “ thought was not right. The email was accompanied by a HD photo if the issue not less than one inch away from the wheel. I could tell from the email that if there was to be any resolution Mr Payne best come back and ill talk him through how the refurbishment works.

I apologised up front, to Mr Payne that there was an issue and explained I had not physically seen the damage only the photo originally sent. I stated that he had curbed the wheel quite badly over half the way round to which he immediately denied. He then stated the damage was only here, here and here pointing at the wheel, to which I replied yes over half the wheel! 3 of the 5 spoked had been scrapped.
I talked best I could though how the repair was done, I explained where he had physically removed all the alloy from the edge of the wheel there was no metal to replicate the factory finish. I expanded the “ small bevel “, his words were as a result of his deep damage. Welding the wheels was not an option as this can be more obvious once repaired. I could tell very early on he was not interested in the facts not my detailed explanation.
I did explain to him that had we know there was not enough alloy to offer and perfect finish his only option was to buy a new wheel. Cost £650. I said ultimately, we want you to be happy and if your that upset ( and he was ) if he brought a new wheel through us I would not charge his for the work we had done. As always customers never want to hear this and Mr Payne left noticeably annoyed that I hadn’t magically fixed his wheel as per his expectations. I couldn’t help but point out that defect was so minor no-one would notice it unless you pointed it out. That went down like a lead ballon! its a shame we cant upload photos to show the defect.
So, again hours go by and Mr Payne like all keyboard worries jumps on; line to slate my company. I didn’t reply straight away and guess what! When I came to work this morning, he had edited his review more than twice! Clearly, he had a bad night sleep! He wasn’t lying where he said he was precious. I strive for perfection daily but as a business owner I will never please all the people all the time. Yes Mr Payne your are one of THOSE people.
The offer still stands however if you wish to replace the wheel. Obviously not if you damage it again. Finally, thanks for the advise but I’m not going to change how Iv been running my business for 15 years based on your suggestion, but thanks anyway.

Body repair to BMW 3 series

I had a nasty collision with ground post which creased the skirt and damaged the corner of the front door on my BMW 3 series. Ace were ace. Booked in just before Christmas and had the car back in two days even though I expected a four day wait. Ace completed a great finish. Very pleased. Chris

Simply awesome!!

Took my Audi in for a colour change on my alloy wheels, from standard silver to an anthracite grey. They did an absolutely fantastic job and my alloys look superb, and they have been significantly improved. I would also add that they were really helpful in providing a loan car at a very reasonable price and the work was completed a good day earlier than estimated. Excellent 👍🏻
