I recently received an offer on line…
I recently received an offer on line because I am a rewards member. It offered several items that were pay only shipping for. One of the items was a pretty nice headlamp that was supposed to cost around $200, but I would only have to pay $7.95 for it. I did get one and found out the hard way that I was signed up for some sort of club that was going to take $58.95 out of my checking account each month. I was lucky to get a number to call to cancel it. I received the same offer today but was not stupid enough to fall for it. I no longer wish to be a member of their rewards program.
Corporate customer service is useless and causing me to stop being a customer
I bought 2 trellises for $100 at a store 40 minutes from my home since they were the only ones with them in stock.
I used 2 rewards.
Unfortunately the price was wrong and only one reward showed on the purchase.
I contacted corporate customer service right away. Because they haven't addressed my situation I have now had to contact them 3 times.
I have been told 3 different things to do. The latest being to go back to the store (extremely inconvenient and expensive) because corporate customer service is powerless to help they now tell me.
I have no reason to drive all that way for this resolution.
At this point I will load them back up and return them because I want nothing more to do with this company.
It is unfortunate for the store owners as they are independent owners. And the sales staff has been good to great at each store I've dealt with. That is the only reason for 2 stars.
What a shame. I'm trying to support small businesses and their own leadership is damaging their franchisees.

Worst caulk I've ever used period
It's was almost thin as water. Did not stay in in place and ran down the tub as I moved the caulking gun. Worst caulk I've have ever used.

All merchandise was not provided that I paid for when I went to pickup my entire order (two days later than I was told when ordering). I was told a refund would be issued. It's never happened and Ace Hardware online customer service has said it's basically my problem. There's no accountability or customer service. My advice, stay away from Ace Hardware!!

I tried to spend 2000.00 for a bbq grill for my son inlaw that lives 1600 miles away. Ace Hardware website only lets you shop the store were you live it does this by stealing your location. I am not going to told were I can shop. So no money for you Ace Hardware ever.

After shopping there for years and following to the new store location, my son requested a donation of any amount. A single sheet of plywood would have helped for his local Eagle Scouts project. He is attempting to fixing his life long church's handicap ramp. They left my son hanging for month after multiple phone calls all to give us a flat no. They will never see another one of my dollars. I seemed to have left the store without one of my items I called and was told to check my car thoroughly. Called a second time and was told it wasn’t on the counter and they didn’t know what to say. It was only a $5 item. I know this sounds petty, but to me the correct answer should have been” I am very sorry, please stop by with your receipt, we will be happy to replace it. “ It is all about customer service. Clearly they are lacking in that. So much for shopping local. Box store here I come.

I bought a brand new pressure washer from Ace Hardware I've only had it five days and it doesn't run anymore I have the receipt so do I have cash I pay cash and also I have warranty which I paid extra for now they're telling me I can't return it because I put gas in it how in the world am I supposed to put gas in it and they're just nasty rudest people I've ever met my life I will never shop at the bottom again.

I've had some great retail experience shopping at local Ace Hardware stores, but after placing an order online through acehardware.com I've had one of my worst experiences. It took nearly two weeks of emails and calls to get information on my order just for them cancel my order without telling me instead of shipping it and providing a tracking number.
I feel like no one actually looked into my order when I called to inquire why my order status was broken and they just kept lieing to me.
Customer support was incapable of looking up the status of my order beyond what I could see through the website. They didn't offer any assistance placing the order again offer alternatives. Ace Hardware customer care just doesn't care.
I will not ever spend my money here again.

The guys at ACE always know their stuff. They are very helpful and kind. No matter what project I have worked on, there is always someone at the store that can give me advice. I much prefer going here than to big box hardware stores.
My local store is amazing
My local store is amazing. There are always plenty of team members to help me. They offer good suggestions and have actually talked me out of buying something I really didn't need. They really do look out for their clients. Yes it cost more then a mega store, but then again your pretty much on your own with them. ACE makes you feel like they really do appropriate the business. It does not matter how much or little you spend. They treat you with respect and always seem to have my best interest in mind. I seriously can not say enough positive things about them.
They are the only store I prefer to visit IRL in place of online because of the outstanding service.
Delivery Times Are A Lie
Do not order from Ace if the product is not already at the store. They will lie about the delivery date and all they will say is, "We apologize for the inconvenience". This canned answer does not fix anything or make anything better for the customer. It just shows that you do not actually care about my inconvenience and you have no plans to address it in any way.

Josh rescued me!!
After bending the key to the truck tool box, I went to my local Ace Hardware in Boiling Springs, SC. The key was still in a single piece, with a perfect 30 degree angle. Josh was anxious to help me, while keeping the key in one piece. He copied my key, and told me that if it did not work, to bring it back, and we would keeping trying until we got it right. The original key is old and thinning, and had been difficult to turn. The new key works perfectly, and is much easier to turn. I am glad that we have a local Ace. They are much more people friendly than the other local options.

I am so very appreciative for the help that I get at Ace Hardware here. The paint ladies are super knowledgeable and helped me to match up existing paint colors in my home. Also, have gotten help with fixing scooters twice now. He found the little parts to fix it, and I could have never done that! Thankfully we have this nice AceHarware, grateful for this convenient store that has what we need!!!

So I have been to many Ace Hardware's around California, I always found the people, very knowledgeable, very polite and uelpfull. Although their prices always outrageously high, it always offset by pleasant experience. However, I moved to Soledad, Can. and cannot believe the lack of basic manners, let alone business practices. It's a very small town and I had bought the right item but the wrong size, no big deal I'll just pop in and get a shorter one, Right?
Wrong, well the clerk remembered me making the purchase 3 days prior, but I left my receipt at home, OK fine, I'll find the receipt and get it exchanged tomorrow. Well clerk asked owner I guess if it was okay to exchange the part for the right size and in a sanctimonious attitude and tone replied not without a receipt. OK neighbor, and I suppose I'll just put that $15.00 light bulb away maybe I can use it someday but I will never walk through their doors again.
This review is on the nice side, I couldn't articulate actual feelings without being nasty.
