We hired Actimovers specifically to handle our move with special care, particularly for our handmade, custom furniture. We even offered to pay above their rate to ensure this care. Unfortunately, what we received was a nightmare. The team arrived without proper protective materials (only some blankets that were not enough to cover all the furniture) and handled our belongings with shocking negligence. They caused extensive damage to our furniture, including cupboards, our bed, wall art, TV, chairs, mirrors - just about everything. Some of these damages are irreparable.

We had clearly arranged in advance for the movers to disassemble an old sofa in our previous home and assemble a new one at the new house. We even offered the old sofa to one of the movers, which he gladly accepted. However, after the move, they refused to assemble the new sofa, despite it requiring no extra effort compared to reassembling the old one. This left us with a brand-new sofa in pieces that we had to struggle to assemble on our own after an exhausting day.

When we noticed scratches on our TV screen that weren’t there before, one of the movers pretended not to see the damage and became defensive, insisting it was impossible for them to have caused it. Later, they left enormous scratches on our custom-made cupboard, and they deliberately hid the damage by placing a shelf against it so we wouldn’t notice before they left.

The worst part came when we were asked to sign off on the delivery. When we noted the damages on the paperwork, one of the movers became aggressive and visibly upset, claiming that the scratches could have been there before and that photos wouldn’t prove anything. He was furious that we dared to document the damage.

The experience has been nothing short of devastating. What was supposed to be a careful and professional move turned into a distressing and costly ordeal. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and careless this company was with our belongings.

At first glance, Actimovers seems like a highly professional company, with well-organized administrative procedures and many positive reviews. However, the actual removal was a disaster. The moving team failed to use proper protective equipment, leading to thousands of euros in damages that could have easily been avoided. If you're moving IKEA furniture or items that are less delicate and valuable, you might have a better experience. But for anyone transporting high-quality or sentimental furniture, I urge extreme caution to avoid the nightmare I went through.

During the move, I observed that the team used only blankets to partially cover the furniture, leaving many pieces exposed. They stacked unprotected furniture against each other and even placed tools and other objects on top. I noticed that they struck the TV console with the TV’s leg, leaving a mark, and other similar accidents occurred throughout the process.

Here it is a full list of damages:
- Two deep scratches, nearly 20 cm long each, on both the left and right side panels of my large walnut wardrobe. These scratches are too severe to be repaired with wax.
- A deep, wide, and oval-shaped scratch on the mirror of another cupboard door, which experts have told me is irreparable. Additionally, the drawer's opening/closing mechanism was broken, and a wood panel was perforated due to an improperly placed screw.
- Multiple deep white scratches on one leg of the black polished piano bench.
- A brand new TV suffered multiple scratches and pressure marks on the screen, leaving it with visible and irreversible marks. Additionally, a hit on the TV console left a noticeable mark.
- The bed was poorly assembled, with the middle section higher than the rest, causing the mattress to wobble. I had to reassemble it myself.
- Multiple other small scratches and dents in a variety of wood pieces that I was able to partially repair.

In conclusion, while Actimovers presents itself as a highly professional company on the surface, the actual moving service was plagued by poor handling and avoidable accidents, resulting in significant financial loss and emotional distress. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because Sam and his father have been highly professional, and I respect their efforts despite the enormous distress and loss their company has caused us. However, I cannot recommend Actimovers for any move involving valuable or delicate items.

After I was "left stranded" by another removal company despite having a contract, the Actimovers team stepped in at very short notice and took over my move after work. Both the telephone support from Sam Slachmuylders and the quality and expertise of the team were impressive. They were quick, careful and beside this in a very good mood. Dismantling and assembly of the furniture went without any hitches. I can highly recommend Actimovers. Super team! Thanks!

We worked with Actimovers when we relocated from Belgium to Portugal, we used their storage facilities for more than 1 year, and asked them to deliver our furnitures in 2 trips - We had the pleasure to work with several of their staffs, they were all extremely professionals, and flexible - Communication was always perfect, we had one furniture damaged but they covered to cost to repair it - Honesty is truly part of their values, which is extremely rare in my opinion. I would definitely work with them again if I have to organise another relocation!
