Do not trust the self-hosted version. We were explicitly told that 2FA would be among the first features in Self-Hosted v8, scheduled for early February. That did not happen. 2FA is not a nice-to-have feature. It is a basic security requirement. For a product handling business data, failing to deliver such a critical security feature after directly telling customers it was coming is unacceptable. We relied on that commitment, and it was not honored. That has completely destroyed our trust in this product and in the company’s self-hosted roadmap. We are moving away from it and would strongly recommend that anyone with serious security requirements do the same.

I've been using the software for almost two years now for my marketing agency. In those two years, ActiveCollab upgraded to new version, and introduced a ton of new features, but most importantly their customer service is something that made a whole difference for us. Since we're using profitability features, we almost had to re-learn all our processes in order to set things up properly, and ActiveCollab's customer support was super responsive.

We tried others, and they are either too expensive or too complicated to use with super slow support. ActiveCollab was a bullseye for us – couldn't recommend them more!

I've been using Active Collab for 3 month within my new team. AC has everything essential for a stable and easy workflow: instant push and email notifications, Timesheet and Stopwatches, which help me track and see my work time between many tasks.
I'm trying to find something I wouldn't be pleased with, but can't.
Also, haven't got a single issue or bug with this software, bravo!

First of all, this software is really easy to use. Our agency team loves the Gantt charts and task list mode, it looks very organized.
There are so many useful features such as time tracking and invoicing which makes our work lot easier and makes us more productive.
We cannot imagine daily collaboration with remote teams and clients without AcitveCollab.

It really looks like a nice product; and in the trial offer it was. But when the trial was over, the nice things were over too. No user friendly acces anymore, but technical complicated steps to put the data on our server. That didn't work instantly, although everybody at Active Collab was very friendly; it took weeks to get it started.
Finally it worked, but only from outside; when being at the office, you couldn't enter. Now I can't log in for weeks, because I am not recognized as a user, my e-mailadress can't recover a new password etc.

Don't buy this. Use the free Google Drive; less features, but also less trouble.
