I want to give the HIGHEST praise to Takeyah from adidas customer service—her compassion, professionalism, and problem-solving skills turned a deeply frustrating situation into a moment of real gratitude.
While I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Aurora adidas store, where team members Josh and Selma showed little interest in helping me resolve a serious issue (including failing to offer contact info for a district manager and dismissing my concerns about a missing item), Takeyah stood out as a shining example of what customer service SHOULD look like.
From the moment she answered the phone, Takeyah was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me—even though the issue didn’t stem from her store. She listened with care, didn’t pass judgment, and immediately assured me she would escalate the matter to the appropriate team. And she followed through. She didn’t know who I was. She didn’t know I’d be writing this review. She was simply doing what she believed was right.
That’s the kind of integrity and heart that deserves recognition, promotion, and praise. Employees like Takeyah should not go unnoticed. She represents the adidas brand beautifully—not just when someone is watching, but especially when no one is.
I sincerely hope adidas uses this as a training opportunity. Josh and Selma from the Aurora store could learn a lot from Takeyah’s approach. No customer should be made to feel dismissed or stranded—especially after driving hours and spending their hard-earned money.
