If an clown were to be an airline, it would be this one. Web page feels like a 90s one, app is disastrous. You get charged for breathing. There’s no sign on the webpage to do the check in via app and if you don’t book desk check in you get charged €45 pp. avoid at all costs.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ANOTHER AIRLINE
Tried cancelling a flight from Alghero to Rome two days prior the flight and request a refund. No luck getting through by email and phone despite SEVERAL attempts. I accumulated AED 312 of roaming call charges to try and cancel the booking to no avail. It's been two weeks since the flight and they completely ignored ALL of my emails.

I live in Istanbul. I tried to do the online checkin from home 10 hours before my flight on 07.10.2024 from Rome to Olbia but the system refused to comply. I tried again this morning in Istanbul to do the online checkin but the system did not allow it again. It kept saying this PNR number does not exist. So I arrived to Rome to Aeroitalia counter and they said because there is only 2 hours to departure you cannot do online checkin therefore you have to pay €35 and they charged me that sum. There is nobody responsible at the airport. I can not believe this is happening.

I booked a flight which, about two weeks before the flight, was changed four times in one day - eventually they sent an email offering a refund. I replied, accepting the refund and now, after further email requests for a response and now 2 days after the flight I still have not received a response! I wish reviews could be posted with zero stars Aeroitalia do not deserve the one I have to give.
Cancelled flights.
We had booked flights from Bergamo to Rome which were cancelled and a refund offered which we requested that was on the 5 June 2024 and we are still waiting for that refund. I went through the process they told me and i have still not received any communication from them at all. I am at a loss on what to do as i live in Australia. They are quick to take your money. I am totally frustrated.

Originally booked a flight from Rome to Catania at 1:30pm. They changed the time to 7am without informing me. Clearly states on their T&Cs that rebooking would be enforced free of charge. They refused to put us on a different flight and I was forced to pay €500 for a new flight. I spoke to an agent Called Asia. She was very rude, sarcastic and unprofessional and refused to give me her superiors contact details.

They don't let you check-in online only if you buy a seat, the cheap ones are "taken" and the others seats jump by 25 euros. At the airport, check-in costs 35 per person, obviously they tell you that check-in is free, but it's not true , i tried to check-in online and force me to buy a seat . And after all this the flight to Alghero (21.09

Disgraceful airline. Flew Catania to Rome this morning with my wife and son. I did the right thing and pre-paid 50€ for my large carry-on. My wife had a small carry-on that fits under the seat and was weighed and passed ok when we checked in our 3 x 23kg check-in suitcases. When we board at the gate the horrid woman checking our boarding passes refused to allow my wife to take her carry-on on board without paying an 80€ fee. We argued vociferously that it had been inspected, weighed (3.5kg), was approved at check-in and fits easily under the seat. No backing down. We had to cough up 80€, whilst other back-packing passengers had back packs weighing at least 10kg. This airline stinks!!!!! Never again.

Like many other customers, I wish I had read the reviews before booking with this amateur company. I feel completely scammed. Today, for my 11:50 flight from Catania to Rome, they charged me €45 because I didn’t check in online. However, I tried to check in online multiple times, but their website was down due to a technical issue. It seems like this is a deliberate scam tactic by Aeroitalia. I wasn’t alone—there were at least 20 other passengers facing the exact same issue.
I just don't understand how such a scammy policy hasn’t put them out of business yet. With so many unhappy customers, it’s only a matter of time before they run out of business.
I’ve flown with many airlines over the years, but I have never experienced anything like this. On a side note, this was my second flight with Aeroitalia, and both times, the landing was terrible and quite scary. Are their pilots even properly trained?
