I cross the channel regularly and have used other ferry company's but for all round times of travelling and price.
The service was good but the waiting time was a bit too long. There must be more ferries on this important route. The price can be a bit more competitive, it looks like a cartel with the other ferry operators on that route.
Very smooth experience, nice friendly staff
The ferry I used was clean tidy and comfortable. The sailing was also extremely smooth. It was nice that the crew were welcoming on first boarding. Highly recommend
Very good but had major issues with travelling with my archery equipment...
Fast and efficient at the port. A comfortable and well stocked ferry.
Lots of traffic prior to check in
Super. Ok 👍👍👍👍👍
Ferry was later leaving.
verry good service
Ferry 10.40 left 11.10
DFDS treat you like human beings. Arrive early and they will put you on the earlier boat without making you feel like you are being a nuisance
Booking process was very straightforward and the service provided by DFSS was efficient and professional on both the outbound and return channel crossings.
Sitting area chairs and seats were very dirty
Always done well in the past, however, this trip out, Border control were on a bit of a go slow, taking literally 5 minutes per passport, followed by a drugs check in their shed. This is clearly not DFDS's fault, but my ferry then sailed 10 minutes early, so I missed the ferry by just 2 minutes. This was compounded by the next ferry being on a go slow, and despite also leaving 10 minutes early, took more than 2 hours to cross, rather than 1.5 hours. I therefore missed half my first golf game. Big shame as they have normally been so reliable.Coming back there were no delays at all, despite the weather being a bit choppy.
Had breakfast Absolutely awful . The worst we've had with any ferry crossing
Lovely staff, good duty-free shop; food & drink offering a bit average
The best one
This is purely about food, I have nothing bad to say about DFDS as a ferry company and getting you coast to coast, they are brilliant at that and the staff are equally deserving of praise. In the dining area, outlandish pricing for below average meals, like reheated, or over kept chips. small fish the size of big fish fingers, not worth the cost of them. If it were a cheap meal, it would be acceptable,
