Arrived in good time for our scheduled ferry but we're told we were too late and would have to wait nearly 3 hours for next ferry. So we went to the allotted waiting area only to see the vehicles for our original ferry drive past us. We asked a marshall if we could go on that ferry and were told yes. So we drove on and found the ferry half empty and there was plenty of time before departure. Poor service from the check in lady at Calais. Maybe we should use Irish Ferries.

I hesitate to recommend the Premium Lounge, in case everyone uses it. Great service, great food and complete tranquility, which makes DFDS the most enjoyable way to cross the Channel

Pleasant enough for a short crossing. Indoor seating / cafes pleasant enough. Staff are very pleasant. Ferry ran on time. Outdoor area at the rear of the ship rather unpleasant and dated. Duty free a bit pricy.
