No rules were followed during gameplay weapons were not tested so almost every gun on day one was hot there were delays that were over an hour taken off the game time I left early on day one had payed for two days and requested a refund as I would not be going back and was told no refunds would be given I will not be going back to another event total waste of money

No rules in the brief or description even attempted to be enforced by marshals half the rifs were not chrono as it was optional so this meant alot of hot guns rules changed mid game and each marshal was giving a different rules during the same game I would never waste my time or money anywhere near this company again

Really sorry to say it but yeah i agree with everyone the AI500 Wheatsheaf centre even was a utter shambles and cost a fortune. It only became remotely good on the second day when most of the players had not returned due to how bad and dangerous the first day was. The marshalls were cowardly in confronting cheating with basically no punishments. The amount of players in the venue was an absolute total cash grab stating that they didnt think so many people would turn up and then sharon one of the event organisers blaming the players on facebook for the state of the event was outrageous.

If I could give it 0 I would, absolute waste of a weekend, waste of £100 and 5,000 perfectly good bbs down the drain. Save your money and just throw mud in the air you'll have so much more fun

Very similar to all the other posts, absolute s***t show awfully marshalled non existent chrono on the first day dreadful "safe spawn zones" all in all a total waste of money and I wish I didn't bother

Worst experience of an "event" I could ever dream of. I'd rather go to delta force paintball!
It got to the point where players volunteered to help because the people organising it couldn't organise a way out of a wet paper bag.
The staff apparently were not paid either. The staff also admitted to not having a clue what to do when the head marshal took an injury (not his fault, hope he is good)
Nothing was organised, nothing was thought out, if it didn't pay him he didn't care.
Tans got so much favouritism it was unreal, pointless playing in green team.
Let's not even get started on the separate rules for other teams and you can't even deny it because I spoke to loads of players afterwards and tan had one rule and green had another.

As a magazine, fair enough.
As an event I would not recommend EVER booking let alone paying.
Also, the booking agency is ran by the same guy so don't expect any refunds no matter what your reason is!

I'd give you less than one star if I could. Hell you don't even deserve the time to type this but let's try and save some people the heart break!

Shambolic event - over populated, under staffed. Really just felt like it was run for a quick money grab by the organisers. Won’t be attending any of their future events

What can I say , well it was clear AI just were out to make as much money as possible for this event for the 1-2 October 2022. On the first day 400 + players turned up and AI response was we didn’t expect you all to turn up . Well they are going to turn up as a deposit of £50 including fees was paid including parking fees and for those who booked hotels and travelling costs , well I’m new to Airsoft and this was a total shambles with regard to health and safety. No enforcement of testing fps or weight of bb’s , 8 marshals for 400+ players absolute joke . Best of all suspected gas leak and everyone told to wait where they were no emergency services called. Secondly fire shutters going down during play , then marshal injured and players had to give first aid as staff haven’t a clue and no real first aid equipment or stretcher. This should have had at least 40+ marshals for this event for the shear amount of players , when marshals asked were asked to intervene there was either no response or what do you want me to do about it. This led to frustration and arguments to the lack of control by AI , players ended up leaving on 1st day and not returning due to rubble and dangerous lighting or none at all with electric cables hanging down with broken glass and fixing lying about. When people tried to raise there concerns on the AI Facebook page they were removed , the 2nd started and the staff started by blaming the players for the first days events. This was clearly a money making event with no attention to make the area safe with all the dangerous obstacles and rubble about, would I attend another AI event NO I WOULD NOT AS THERE THE WORST ORGANISERS IVE EVER MET. SHAME ON YOU AI FOR JUST MAKING THE EVENT A CASH COW.
I would have given no stars but wouldn’t let me.

Day 1 of the event was absolutely horrendous got to play a solid 2 hour due to continuous stoping. big Health and safety problems wasted money and time due to a lack of marshalling I felt that this was the main problem the number of people who was able to buy a ticket was also to much and for them to tern round and say we didn’t think that all the people would show up is absolutely outrageous

AI500 Event, The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre, Rochdale. 1st/2nd October 2022.

I attended the event in a group of 6 whom travelled 5hrs, paid £96.75 each for the event (£50 cash on arrival) £50 each for accommodation (£300 total due to no sleepingavaliableupon booking) and never returned on the second day (02/10/22) like alot of other attendees due to mislead information, lack of organisation & the major H&S breach's at the event.

The event was majorly unorganised with Inadequate Facilities, Incapable Marshaling, Unsafe environment etc. which in turn caused a major Health & Saftey risk to all attendees which needs to be addressed.

First off with 400+ attendees and only 8 marshal's is totally unacceptable to then be told quote "We wasn't expecting everyone to turn up so we will see how it goes" is an absolute joke.

Health & Saftey issues;
•Some participants were never signed in on the 2nd day (02/10/22) which will have resulted in no Fire Register being taken (Advised by attendees of second day)

•Suspected gas leak on 01/10/22 with no evacuation from the premises or emergency services being informed.
(Everyone near myself was just standing around waiting for an instruction)

•Inadequate lighting in Greens Zone on 01/10/22. (Broken Glass on floor/Exposed wiring/Water ingress near live wiring/equipment etc).

•Chronographs of participant's RIF’S were never prioritised and most participants were never chronographed on the first day (01/10/22) which is a major H&S breach.
The UK Firearms Act 1968 states the maximum FPS Limits for RIF’S, which were unknown on 01/10/22 due to lack of event organisation.

•No sign in register of participants on the 02/10/22 as advised by attendees of second day.

•No site saftey brief on Fire Evacuation Procedures or exit points.

PayPal Fees;
•All participants we're charged a £1.75 PayPal fee which violates PayPal's Terms and Conditions.

This company's policy should factor in addressing issues from paying customers and not deleting comments on social media or ignoring direct emails sent etc and pasing the buck before organising another money making sham.
Before blaming customers take a hard look at your companies organisation skills.
Customer service is non existent within AI.
keep your hard earned cash people.

October 1st was an absolute shambles
400 people in an overbooked venue, no direction from Marshalls and H&S issues throughout
- Head Marshall broke his leg and left site with day plans
- Smell of gas was ignored and players were told to remain on site
- Organisers blocked players on the official facebook pages for raising concerns
- No refunds have been issued
- Lack of facilities
- Lack of instruction/Timetable

Complete Cash Grab

Firstly I have given 1 star purely because I had to. Otherwise it would have been NO stars.
I was so looking forward to a weekend of airsoft in a disused shopping centre, well that's how it was advertised, and subsequently paid £95 each for me and my wife plus £210 for a hotel as the event was in Rochdale. Oh boy, what an absolute waste of money. Where do I begin with this?
Event location was dangerous. Rubble, rubbish, hanging cables, broken glass on the floor everywhere. No attempt had been made to make it safe for the players.
There was no allocated safezone where you could remove your face pro, de fog, take on fluids safetly. Just a dark, no lighting at all, room classed as a "control point" that was open to the opposing team to shoot into. 450 players turn up and the first words out of the organises mouths "we didn't expect you all to turn up"?? Everyone paid a £45 deposit. Of course they're going to turn up.
All airsofters know before every game day all weapons have to be chrono'd and tagged to show they meet site safety limits. For this event it was 350fps across the board with a max weight bb of 0.28g, but no snipers were allowed and single shot only. Chronoing on day 1 was not made compulsory and players were later found exceeding the fps limits using heavier weight bb's. 1 player was caught at 500fps using a 0.4g bb.
Marshalling was atrocious. When complaints were made they either shrugged their shoulders or gave no response at all. On the odd occasion you might get "what do you expect me to do about it". I witnesses 1 Marshall shoot a player 3 time from under 10 feet to "get his attention". When challenged on why he did this, his response was "because I can". By mid afternoon most players were at there wits end with the lack of marshalling from the AI staff. This led to players from well know site, Warzone airsoft and paintball, stepping in to try and deal with the issues as best they could. This just got them a lot of abuse afterwards by the AI staff.
All commenting on the AI500 Facebook page was disabled so players used their own social media and the Facebook team pages to air their views, concerns and dissatisfaction to the days events. This was met by the organises blaming the PLAYERS. This undoubtedly led to a lot of backlash towards the organisers who began removing comments, blocking members and threatening police action. We hoped that day 2 would be better but we were wrong. They first started to Diss all the players that had commented on facebook. Continued to blame the players for the "short comings" of the previous day but this time they were challenged directly and it was excuse after excuse after excuse. No apology for their unprofessional behaviour. Game play was due to start around 0900 but after they were called out about chronoing weapons they decided they should do it. Chronos were all set to 0.2g even if use was using a heavier bb. So a pointless exercise. The marshalling issue continued and again when challenged they did nothing. It was a shocking weekend and AI500 team should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. They clearly have no clue what they are doing and a clear disregard to players safety. Would I attend another AI event......... Not a chance.
