Dreadful customer support

Dreadful customer support, poor advice given 6 to 8 weeks turn around for a warrenty claim, no support for fine adjustments after a new product settling in period.

POSTED IIncorrect and misleading information!

I have just been browsing Google for the online details for my own listing.
After following several links I came upon a question posted and seemingly REPLIED TO? By air-arms.co.uk. Now I have no afillfiliation to Air-Arms at all and in truth I even respect the brand and all they give back to the shooting community. But the reply to a question asked and the reply on the website is a completely misleading report. It would appear that someone has asked a question as to if it is legal to shoot Squirrels with an Air rifle. The answer should be that it it is totally dependant on what Squirrels are being shot. It OS illegal to shoot Red squirrels as they are protected by law and are an indigenous animal. Where They Squirrels are vermin and are not indigenous and are able to be killed by any humane method. Some shooters use Air rifles (Including Air Arms rifles) and also with Shotguns and small bore rifles (GAC holders only) but the reply to the question appears to leave a persons reply saying it is ILLEGAL to shoot Squirrels and anyone seen doing so should immediately report the miscreants to the Police or the RSPCA. Well, as the RSPCA have no power of arrest or is able lawfully to stop anyone shooting a?thing it is legal too shoot anyway! The only real option would be to inform the Police.
But please do KNOW the law regarding the shooting of any weapon before wasting the Polivees time for something again they are not able to actually enforce the law. Thifs information is FREELY available on the Police website telling you what is legal and what is not legal. IE Age, Quarry, Types of weapon etc. Please do not believe things expressed on websites of any other organisations who are not the Police. Or call 101 for guidance.

Air Arms S400f

Although I love the handling and accuracy of my brand new S400f I believe it has an inherant safety fault that the Web would suggest has been reported to Air Arms many times but not actioned. It is far to easy to lift the bolt while moving from loading to trigger stick. I measured this at about 17g of force. There is supposed to be a 1.25mm o ring to give some resistance to this movement but the gap on my rifle is greater than 1.25mm making the oring useless. Advice from others says I should fit a thicker oring but surely that should have been addressed at build.
If this is the standard of build in mine what quality issues are there across their range that they won't address.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Poor handling of a customer service issue. Unable to cope if there is a staff sickness, and incapable of accessing their own Paypal account to resolve a refund. Lots of time (weeks!) wasted chasing, because they do not keep customers updated.

It's now more than one month after a promised refund, and I am still waiting. Their only excuse is they cannot access their Paypal account.

I was sympathetic for the delay in sending my order, even though they did not communicate it at all to customers. Then, the ordered item was clearly damaged.

I was sympathetic for the delay to refunds due to staff sickness.... but a month later my patience has worn out.

As much as I like their rifles, I do not like this brand. Buyer beware, if there is an issue you may have a significant headache.

Excellent after sales service

Had some minor issues overhauling my S410 After E-mailing the Air Arms technical department I received a response on the next working day with all the information I needed to complete the task. Thanks to them I have a gun that looks and performs like new. Clearly this company cares about its product and its customers.

Don't touch Air Arms.

Bought a Fire Arms Certified S510 ultimate sporter extra at the end of March 2020 from the gunstore, red mills, kilkenny.
Red mills 'bought' it through the Irish importer Lakeland ranges who in turn 'bought' from Air Arms UK.
Initially the wrong rifle was supplied from Lakeland to Red Mills which caused a weeks delay in applying for a FAC.
Once received after all FAC cleared, the rifle never really performed, imho. To prove that the rifle was not as described, I bought a FX chrono which took a few weeks given covid circumstances, tested the gun and sure enough it was very much under powered.
Rifle was returned to Lakeland who fixed and returned the rifle worse than it ever was, under powered and now leaking air from the base of the barrel.
Rifle was returned again to lakeland, who sent it on to Air Arms, UK. Air Arms received the rifle 2 weeks ago today and have not even looked at it !!!!!
A new product, not working from the outset, a very disappointed and angry customer and you don't even bother looking at a so-called priority case.
How would you feel in my shoes ? I am totally disgusted with all 3 companies involved here and feel that my only option is a full refund, even although that will never cover the true cost of this whole fiasco.
I could never recommend Red Mills, Kilkenny or Lakeland ranges, Mullingar both in Ireland or Air Arms UK ever. Please avoid all 3 companies for anything gun related.
