- The purchase was not possible by App or Website;
- Impossible to create an user or App or Website;
- The only way to pay the purchase was by typing the card number through the cell phone;
- I talked to 03 different agents, and got 03 different prices for the same purchase.

our flight was cancelled due to strike. Air europa sent us a mail, I called them and had my flight re-routed to another airport without any issue or cost. Thanks for the wonderfull service
Total Failure: Lost Car Seat and Zero Accountability
The airline lost our child's car seat, forcing us to pay extra at the car rental agency. It took them 25 days just to respond to our claim. Their "solution" was to inform us the seat had been delivered back to our starting point—not to us—and they closed the case without reimbursing our added expenses. Extremely poor customer service and a total lack of accountability.
I recently flew with Air Europa on a flight Madrid-Miami
I recently flew with Air Europa on a 10-hour flight and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations.
The biggest issue was the WiFi service. Even after paying for the highest-priced package, the connection was unreliable and frequently stopped working. At times, I was completely disconnected, which is frustrating on such a long flight. On top of that, you must pay separately for each device you want to connect — something that feels excessive considering the already high cost of the WiFi package.
Another major disappointment was that headphones are not included and must be purchased separately. For a long-haul flight, this feels unreasonable and unnecessary.
The cabin crew experience was also underwhelming. The staff spoke only Spanish and did not communicate in English, which made things difficult. Additionally, they were not particularly friendly. When collecting trays, they would pass in front of passengers who were watching movies without apologizing or showing basic courtesy.
The only positive aspect is the ticket price, which is generally affordable. However, considering the overall experience, it may be worth spending a bit more to fly with another airline that offers better service and comfort.
Overall, not an experience I would choose again.
Happy to let a 67 year old sleep on the floor!
Due in part to a strike by airport workers but, according to the airport help desk also including Pilots and other directly employed workers, my flight was delayed from 13.15, (with a connecting flight via Madrid to London), to 02.15 the next day. Staff at the Business Class check in refused to accept any liability for me, a 67 year old solo traveller with limited command of Spanish. They would not offer any vouchers for food or accommodation and told me I would have to pay for anything and then ’try’ to claim it back. All communications were sent in Spanish despite obviously knowing that I was British. This included the subsequent message telling me that the flight was further delayed until 06.00. Again no offer of ANY assistance for this extended delay. All AE airport staff had disappeared and despite trying to contact both the UK and Latin American call centres, nobody would make any concessions to assisting me. I am still waiting to hear if they will assist me when I arrive too late to Madrid to make any viable connection to London or whether I face a second night sleeping on an airport floor. Bearing in mind that this is how they treat their Business Class passengers I would caution anyone against risking travel with this shambolic, customer hostile airline. It’s one of those’never again’ moments for me! I shall of course submit a claim for the delay but, as I am also dealing with Argentina administration, Im not sure how that will go. Please don’t book with this airline!
First Experience with Air Europa
To begin with, I had never heard of this company before. The name had come up once or twice while searching for flight tickets in the past, but I had no direct experience with them. My girlfriend and I were looking for tickets to Panama for a three-week vacation in Panama and Costa Rica.
After some hesitation and a bit of research, we decided to book a return flight with Air Europa. We read several online reviews and did some background research before booking. Our route was from Schiphol via Madrid to Panama City. The first flight lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by a 10.5-hour flight — nearly 12 hours of total travel time.
Over the years, I’ve flown with many different airlines. However, this was the first time I experienced a flight where almost everything felt poorly organized. Of course, on review platforms like Trustpilot, you often read mostly negative experiences about airlines in general. In reality, things are usually more balanced. Unfortunately, in the case of Air Europa, my experience was consistently poor and chaotic.
While Air Europa is often a cheaper option, lower cost should not mean lower basic standards of customer care. We had paid in advance to reserve our seats, but during check-in, the reservation could not be found in the system. We were asked to pay again to select seats. After long waiting times and several conversations with different employees, the issue was eventually corrected.
On board, it became clear that almost everything required additional payment. For example, you must pay €3 to use the entertainment system via an aux connection. If you plan to use it, make sure you bring your own aux cable, otherwise you won’t be able to connect properly. It is surprising that even something this basic requires extra payment.
During the first flight, we received no food or drinks at all.
The transfer in Madrid was chaotic and quite short, leaving almost no time to rest or arrange food and drinks.
On the long-haul flight to Panama (over ten hours), service was extremely slow. From boarding, it took about three hours before any food was served. After that, we were given only half a cup of water. Shortly before landing, a weak instant coffee was offered — and that was it.
What stood out the most — and what I want to emphasize clearly — is that as a passenger, you feel completely ignored by the crew. I used the assistance call button multiple times, and it was never answered. I have never experienced this before on any airline. I also noticed that other passengers were ignored when using the call button. When I politely asked a steward personally for a drink, I was told it would be served later — which happened about 1.5 hours afterward. When I addressed the limited water service, the steward reacted in an irritated and unfriendly manner.
The feeling throughout the flight was that passengers were simply being ignored. There was no sense of attentiveness or customer care. It honestly felt as if the crew was avoiding interaction wherever possible.
Technically speaking, aside from a small delay, the flight itself was fine. The aircraft could use some refurbishment, but the seats were reasonably comfortable. However, service-wise, the experience was very poor.
With this knowledge, I strongly recommend coming well prepared: bring your own food, drinks, and definitely your own aux cable if you want entertainment. The quality of the food served is average at best, and I would not recommend purchasing additional items onboard. Beer is either unavailable or costs about €4.50. The same applies to soft drinks. Only small cups of water are provided free of charge.
We will still be flying back with Air Europa. If that experience turns out differently, I will update this review accordingly.
poor poor service do not fly
My Grandma has asked me to write this for her. She flew from London Gatwick to Madrid then Buenos Aires. She described the flight out as disgraceful and so so poor, staff were rude, when asking for a tea with milk the cabin crew lady said “ITS CREMA” and threw the pot of milk down at her lap, did not offer any water or drink at all, yes if it was once or twice it wouldve been okay but for an 11 hour flight no service was provided especially as the majority of passengers were elderly over 55. Asked for Chicken and was given pasta which was so dry and hard it was not edible and when there was turbulence they said to put on your seatbelt and not to move! My grandma did not see any staff for around 4 hours. Please please please do not fly and waste your money on Air Europa
Bad service on flight from A Coruna to Madrid
On flight from A Coruna to Madrid, we were forced to check in hand luggage .. although there was plenty of room in the overhead lockers.
How can I give 0 stars
How can I give 0 stars . WATCH OUT YOU BUY A TICKET YOU ARIVE ON THE AIRPORT AND THEY WILL SAY WE DONT HAVE A PLACE FOR YOU !!!
Air Europa is a terrible Airline…
Air Europa is a terrible Airline company they are not been honest with their clients. Their flights are always delayed and cancelled and to assist you on this occasion is non existent. They just live you on a long queue waiting for answers.
Our fight was delayed mist our connection and delayed for more than 4 hours. I submitted a compensation form and never got an answer. The customer service is RUBBISH and will never book Air europa again.
Very Poor Inflight Service on a Long-Haul Flight
I recently flew with Air Europa on a long-haul flight from Argentina to Madrid. I fully understand that turbulence is unpredictable and can affect service timing. That is not the issue.
The problem is that after lunch service, no coffee, tea, or additional complimentary drinks were provided from to the back of the aircraft. Service simply did not resume for that section only. The only service that restarted later was the paid snack and beverage service without considering that the half back of the airpline was left with only one glass of water provided at the begining.
This meant that passengers in the remaining rows had no free drinking options for almost 7 hours on a long-haul flight. For such a long journey, this is simply not acceptable.
I have used Air Europa for many years for my trips between Argentina and Belgium, but I must say that other airlines operating similar routes, at comparable prices and flight durations, offer better inflight service and contingency solutions — especially on long-haul flights.
I hope this is addressed and reviewed internally, as access to water and basic beverages during a long flight should not depend solely on paid service.
Worst airline experience
It was my first time flying in this company and the last. I was flying from Madrid to Oporto because the price was very competitive and since it wasn’t a low cost airline I expected a higher quality experience. Needless to say, it was terrible. The boarding process was late, they let drunk people board the flight, when we got into the plane it was freezing cold to the point I had to wear a fur coat, beanie and gloves the whole flight, the flight attendants were super rude to the point they started squeezing and pushing my backpack as much as they could to the other people’s luggage’s because “this plane is too small for all the luggages”. I don’t recommend this airline to anyone, unless u wanna feel uncomfortable, mistreated and disrespected.
Cuba

Appalling service: Lost bags, inedible food, and a 12yo denied an adult meal
Avoid Air Europa. My family’s bags were lost on 17th Nov (PIR: HAVUX49532) and we have been ignored for 3 months. Even worse was the onboard service: despite paying for an ADULT ticket, my 12-year-old was initially forced to take a child’s meal (a bland, tasteless lasagne). It took him shouting in frustration for the crew to even provide a 'replacement,' which was undercooked, hard pasta.
When I tried to resolve the baggage claim, the UK call centre refused to help, stating they only deal with tickets, and tried to force me onto a high-cost Spanish phone line. This is a deliberate attempt to obstruct a legitimate £1,200 claim. The matter has been escalated to the UK Civil Aviation Authority (Case 42119654). If you value your money or your dignity, do not fly with them.
Lost luggage and Air Europa thinks it’s normal
When leaving from Brussels to Valledupar the pilote already knew he didn’t had all the luggage. They assured us in Madrid and Bogotá that everything was fine, what wasn’t the case.
When contacting the company by phone (as their site was not working) they answered “you need to do it online. You van only call us to do a reservation.
And to be honest, long haul flight where you need to pay everything (up to the earplugs), you get only one meal and a cupcake. Everything else you need to pay.
So NO don’t fly with them, it is a scam.
AVOID AIR EUROPA AT ALL COSTS!!!
My recent trip with Air Europa was, without exaggeration, the worst airline experience of my life. I have travelled widely, and never have I encountered such chaos, misinformation, indifference, and outright disrespect from an airline. I’d give them less than zero stars if that were possible!!
My long‑haul flight from Buenos Aires to Madrid was cancelled after we had already been sitting on the aircraft on the Buenos Aires runway in hot conditions for 2.5 hours. The flight was rescheduled for the following day and even then, take‑off was delayed by an additional hour. The queues at their check‑in counters were appalling — over two hours long and extremely disorganised. After finally reaching the desk, I was informed that my connecting flight to London had been overbooked and that my only option was to take a later flight, resulting in an 11‑hour layover in Madrid!! Staff were extremely rude - a member dismissively told me I could “cry all I want, not her problem"!
Because of this upheaval, I incurred extra costs (missed taxi, paid for new a taxi pickup, meals - Air Europa only served one measly meal for the entire 11.5 hrs long-haul flight and a mediocre breakfast - a drop of coffee and a disgusting sugar laden muffin)! When I eventually arrived home, more than a day late on New Year’s Eve, I was completely overwhelmed and exhausted, and I had to cancel my plans for the night as a result.
Air Europa has refused to provide compensation, despite issuing documentation that clearly outlines our entitlement to claim compensation for cancelled flights, denied boarding/overbooking, and significant delays under Regulation (EC) No 261/2002. They completely refuse to take any accountability!!!
Unreliable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Never again!!!!
