Unfortunately, could be much better

During our stay in Namibia the flight back was cancelled (2nd Dec on the evening) and we were re-booked to a flight a day later (SW283). Due to the delay we had significant additional costs in Namibia as well as in Germany (hotel, transfer, parking fees etc) and of course a lot of issues to reorganize everthing. On 4th of December we filed our request for compensation, but till to date they didn't even bother answer. It's very anoying if you have to go to the lawyer with such an issue which could be very easy to solve.

So from ours side we can only advise to not book with this airline, because in case of any issues you will be left alone!

booked EVENING flights (Air Namibia) from Johannesburg (JNB) to Windhoek (WDH).
We only got a SMS roughly 8days prior to take-off; saying the flight back to JNB had been cancelled. We should get in touch with the Airline. After trying that, Air Namibia agent told us, they cant do anything, cause we booked through an agnecy we need to handle everything through them. Couldn't get hold of agent, only automated services referring me to either that exact same number i was calling or the webpage, which wasnt helpful either in this specific case.

So far so bad. After some hours we got another SMS saying we bought a new Ticket, and our flights were changed, now BOTH of them suddenly leaving at 11:10 (instead 18:25) and the other one at 14:10 (instead of 17:30). So both flights in the morning and early afternoon. both not working due to meetings.

So if you have any urgent things to do or tight schedules, avoid Air Namibia and rather pay a bit more on another Airline.

Extremely poor service at the check in desk at Frankfurt Main airport, by the German lady staff member.

Very rude and abrupt. Horrible experience. Made our life hell, coming from a terrible experience from another airline and then to be met with further shocking service. It seems airlines don't care for customers no more. €160 charged for a small bag, tiny hold-all 4kg. We had small children and was difficult to carry on board. This staff member made our life and experience very difficult by making us go back and forth trying to sort things out. Clearly she could see 2 distressed children but didn't have no sympathy.

Shame on you Air Namibia for employing such poor members of staff to deal with your regular customers. Shame
