I find that takers cancel or can not make the time needed and you charge the booker a fee.

I have to say that I didn't use Airtasker for a few years as we'd moved cities and went the route of using skills recommended by our complex management; hit and miss. However I had a couple of tricky jobs crop up, and turned to Airtasker. I had forgotten that the Standard of work, communication
and professionalism from the taskers (usually solo operators) is pretty high as the taskers need to be a good if not better than businesses and storefront operators. As an example; I had a fairly new German-made recliner chair that stopped working. The Australian support company quoted me over $600 to replace the motor without even coming out to view the chair. After much frustrating correspondence with Germany, the Aust reps, multiple Recliner chair repair shops, I posted the task on Airtasker. An Electronics guy responded, came out, found the problem and fixed it with a $20 part.
Taskers won't respond if they haven't got a good chance of a successful result.

I think there needs to be a level of verification that users can select for people to have had a police clearance and references. The recent tasker seemed to be high on drugs and I did not feel safe. I was thankful to my neighbours who assisted by staying around and 'helping' so that I did not appear to be alone. It was also not safe if he injured himself I would feel liable and yet normally you would not be able to turn up to certain jobs without having such clearances. Suggest this could be an option for people and when selecting a tasker it could be filtered that these are a requirement.

Furthermore, by providing a review to airtasker, it did not explain this would be a public review. I merely was providing this feedback for airtasker's knowledge as I had not come across police check options in the past and so now will look for this.

The movers (Gorka.C) are nice and great. One of them move 3 boxes at once for 2 levels and didn’t rest at all. And they try hard to save your time.
