So you guys have me very nervous

So you guys have me very nervous. I booked a RT ticket Denver to Bangkok for $820, much cheaper than I could find elsewhere. While inputting my email address I had entered it as gmail.vom instead of gmail.com. When I called, I waited on hold for 5 minutes and got it all sorted and got my confirmation email seconds later. Then, I went to the United.com website and entered in my confirmation number and was able to access all of my itenerary/change my seats etc. So I am hoping that this is not a completely scam website. My guess is that many people have easy, successful bookings and don't run to this forum report smooth travels. The ones that do have a bad experience will have much more invested in the experience and will write a bad review.

Summary: I have had a smooth booking with access to my airline's website/flight info. I have not traveled yet, but it looks promising. I will report after.

BEWARE OF AIRTICKETS

SCAME ALERT
Warning: do not book with Airtickets

Card was charged incorrect amount and flight itinerary had COMPLETELY different dates.
When I called to get this corrected they told me I would need to pay $400EU (more than the actual return flight)

Customer service was TERRIBLE. Was promised call back from agent Madalina and supervisor - nothing. Turns out she wasn't even on shift at the time she promised me a call back.
Had to spend over 4 hrs on the phone to even get a partial refund when I had proof that the correct booking information was entered. Was kept on hold for 1 hr while Luminita "wrote an email" to request my refund.

Will never deal with them again

Worst online experience

Firstly I was actually charged R666 more than what I was invoiced for.
After finally recieving feedback I was told that the difference was due to the fluctuation in currency. Shouldn't I then be provided with an updated invoice?
The contact details, namely support doesn't exist.
They charged me for 4 online check-ins and after calling the airlines today found out that they have not reserved seats for my family and I.

Most painful booking experience ever

They email you and ask for details so they can check you in since they do not give you your booking code. But you can't email them. Eventually I get a hold of them on FB and they send me to a broken web page to submit the information. Still not sure if my flight is going to be ok.

Don't ever use them, I fly all the time and every other booking site works better.

Worst ticket company ever, and I fly frequently

The costumer sevice is absolutely abysmal, confirmation emails contain contact emails that don’t work, their call center is the most convoluted and user-unfriendly experience in its league (and that’s saying a lot), they ask you for extra information and then make it as hard as possible for you to provide it to them.

Never ever ever again.

the most horrible company that anyo …

the most horrible company that anyone should ever use and should be closed down. my brother booked a flight to New Zealand but he did not know he needed a transit visa. After he was denied boarding spoke to emirates who were happy to change the ticket if the travel agency contact them but the agency refused to contact them said they don't change tickets 3 days before travel have to buy a new ticket now.

for your own safety stay away from theses thieves

Stay away! The worst agency out there

The way they handelded my flight cancellation shows that their services are poor to say the least.
>One advice to all that were ripped off by this company: their hotline costs around 0,40€ /min. By calling several times you can charge them what they earned by scamming you

No tickets 4 days before the flight. / Sin tickets a 4 días del vuelo

I booked two way- flights and they charged the amount in my credit card, so I waited for my E-tickets, but they did not send me them. So already one week before my flight took place, I sent them 2 emails, no response, I called them and they said me they did not know what happen, but they promised me to call me back, no call back, so I called them the next day again, that time they said me, the flight company had a technical problem, but again they promised me that I will have my tickets the next day.... After 5 calls, 3 email, one of them with the data of my lawyer telling them that if I did not recive any answer I would take legal actions... so 4 days before my flight took place I had already fulled all papers in order to recover my money and to report them to the appropiate authorities, I called them in order to speak with a superior to inform them about that, they said me It was not possible to speak with any superior, than I told the lady, ok, I wanted just to inform you, that you will receive news from my attorney... 1 hour later, I got my tickets. Very unprofessional!! Never again.
-----------------------------------------------

Cancelled flight and didn't know! Still didn't get a refund!

I was to take a flight and upon arriving at the airport I found out that the flight was cancelled and departed one day before. This was our honeymoon that was ruined. I spent 1322 EUROS, still no refund! After contacting the airline, the customer service says they cannot help me with claims and that I have to email the claims department. The claims department still has not answered my emails. Customer service does not allow me to talk to anyone in the claims department over the phone, only emails which they do not reply to. Can you imagine that! It's like they're hiding from their customers behind a locked door and all you can do is pass notes under the door and hope they respond.

Airtickets failed to ask for passport details when I booked online, then forced me to wait "on hold" to supply them!!

I booked tickets with this company, to fly with Austrian. Unusually I was not asked for passport details. Hmmm....

Sure enough, an hour later I got an email telling me that "you still haven't fill (sic) the necessary information in order to travel."

They tell me to call them to provide the details. So I call, and - yes - it's straight into 'on hold' hell! Tried calling for much of the day, finally my Skype call was answered at 21:57!!!

I'll never be stupid enough to deal with this company again.

Scam

They just scammed me out of 200 euros when I cancelled my flight. The cancelling fee with Emirates was 50 Euros, as per company policies, but Airtickets.com decided to withold 250 Euros on a 300 Euros ticket. I would stay well away if I were you.

This was their poorly written message:
"We would like to inform you regarding the cancellation you have requested.

The airline informed us that the total refundable amount is 41.46 euros, as the ticket is considered to be very economy.

Kindly accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused to you".

Lesson learned foe me, at a very high price...

No problems

I thought I should review this company to give a positive view on their services. I cancelled a flight with them on 23rd Dec and I've money back in my account today. All communications through email or telephone have been prompt, polite and accurate. Yes,it's sometimes a few minutes before you get through on the phone but that's hardly uncommon is it? As their automatic email response says all enquiries dealt with inside 48hrs. So it has taken 5 weeks to get my money back but that's largely due to the airline's system and I was told at the outset that it would be this long. No complaints from me at all.

LOOKING FOR TROUBLE? TRY AIRTICKETS

This is my experience with airtickets,
I booked a ticket on the 24th of July 2015 for my wife and by mistake I wrote her name incorrectly. I had to cancel the booking through the airtickets web site and after a while a company representative called me to confirm the cancellation.
There was no option to change the name on the reservation but to cancel the reservation only.
Till today I had not received the refunded amount in my credit card.
I issued another ticket for my wife and when I arrived at he airport I realize that the date of the flight was not the right one ( that was my mistake) and tried to call airtickets to see what were my options.
Needless to say there was no answer.
I approached the SWISS counter and asked for date change and they told me that if a ticket has been issued by airtickets cannot be change.
On the same request to airtickets they advice me that only the airline can change the ticket.???
I reissue a ticket from SWISS this time and flew to Madrid.
Back in Madrid on to SWISS counter a very impolite employee gave me the same answer that is not able to change the ticket because it's issued by airtickets.
I have lost money and time trying to communicate with a ghost company but never again. Try this... Before you issue any ticket try to call the airtickets in one of the fancy banner numbers and if you get any answer I take back what I am reporting and apologize...
It will never happen..
Protect yourself. Don't do business with these companies. Keep the environment clean.

Worst Travel Agency Ever!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!

My sister booked return flights to Australia with airtickets.ie three months ago and is due to fly out mid July. However, when she tried to access her booking online with Quantas it didn't exist. After contacting the airline they informed her that her flight was booked but that her name had been reversed, for example, Ms Mary Smith turned into Smithmrs Mary, which is quite clearly ridiculous! Quantas told her to contact the ticketing agent and that it was standard practice to cancel the booking and re-issue the ticket in that situation.

When she contacted airtickets they refused to change her name saying that it wasn't airline policy (also absolutely ridiculous) and that if she wanted to cancel the flight it would cost her a penalty of €280. They also said that it must have been her mistake and took absolutely no responsibility for the fact that they had made the mistake. She contacted Quantas one last time and although their customer service was very good they couldn't change the name without it coming from the travel agent and they couldn't understand why airtickets would not change the name. They basically told her to take her chances at the airport. The only problem is that she is flying via Dubai and although she may get on the flight in Dublin the chances of her explaining her situation in Dubai is a whole other problem. Has anyone else been in this situation?

First Time Flyer Taken for my Money

I purchased two tickets in February for my husband and I to Greece. I received an email with my etickets and they had my name correct but used "MR. ASHLEY WIGGIN" (my name) as my husband. Unfortunately, because I'm inexperienced with travel, I did not put this together until we tried to check in. Our flight was a Lufthansa flight using United Airlines. We had several hours to fix the name but getting in touch with the agency was nearly impossible. We were hung up on TWICE and when we finally got through the representative FLAT OUT REFUSED to change the name even though the airline was on the phone with them telling them they would force us through and issue a new ticket. THEY ONLY HAD TO CHANGE THE NAME! Once again they refused. So obviously neither of us boarded the plane because am I supposed to leave my husband behind? NO, I don't think so. Now I am in a dispute with my bank to get my money back (which, if we get anything back, it will only be for one ticket because the other was valid) and have to prove my case that I input the correct information. When I confirmed both passengers the confirmation page was in Greek except the fields I entered. They were correct. This is inexcusable. This company does not care about the people they are dealing with. I see this has been an issue with them. I'm sorely disappointed and hope we don't have to bring in our attorney to get our money back. AWFUL SERVICE.

Airtickets.Garbage.Liars.Thieves.Crooks

Beware! They’re scam artists. In my case, after purchasing flight tickets they emailed me that the flight was canceled and they wanted to reschedule it. When I’ve canceled, they said that the money will be returned in within 6 weeks. There’s not three months and the money are still not returned.

"Your reservation could not be completed! You are kindly requested to search for another flight or contact one of our agents to assist you. We apologise for any inconvinience"
