Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 137 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people found essential product features, such as live viewing and recording, unexpectedly locked behind mandatory subscriptions, rendering their devices useless without payment. Customers frequently reported that their doorbell cameras and other products stopped working reliably or failed to perform core functions like detecting movement. The associated application was often criticized for issues including continuous logouts, slow connection times, and intrusive advertisements. Additionally, many felt misled as products initially advertised with free features later required payment, leading to frustration and some facing unexpected and high subscription fees. Reviewers also reported difficulties canceling recurring charges and noted unresponsiveness from customer service when trying to resolve product or payment issues.

Aiwit Video Doorbell

Bought this video doorbell several months ago and it was ok.
I could view the live feed when someone was at the door once I had managed to bypass the nightmare ad's.
I've now gone in to view the live feed and it's asking me to subscribe (Take a hike).
If you see the brand Aiwit avoid at all costs.

BUT NOW l need to add just one more camera for only "viewing only"abd they now need an annual subscription. What a rip off, as they said on the Amazon site the product could be used for viewing only with no subscription. I if l could give a minus 5 l would

It used to be a half decent doorbell…

It used to be a half decent doorbell camera. Two way talk was not good at all. However, the picture was decent and with no subscription. Now, I have a doorbell camera that is completely useless unless I get a subscription. A heads up from Aiwit would have been good. Instead they just block those functions basically holding them at will unless you pay. I think the reason I bought this camera was because they did not have a subscription required. It's basically trash now. Not everyone can afford a subscription for every little thing.

''Aiwit" Avoid this company.

Watch when your buying any cctv cameras from any online sites and make sure they not linked with Aiwit!!! This company blocks you from using your camera freely ,Bought my camera over a year ago where you have to install aiwit app , it worked fine and suited my needs but now its blocking all access of use not unless I sign up to own of their subscriptions, this has to be illegal and will be looking into this, what rip off merchants these are!!! AIWIT Remember that name.

If I could I'd leave a negative star review, I purchased the 180 day cloud service 2 days later they charged me for the 365 day service that I didn't purchase wasn't even in the app, they refunded me the money for the 365 day service and canceled the service I bought now I'm out the money I paid for the device and the 180 cloud service long story short if it associated with Aiwit RUN!

Yes this company is a scam.

Yes this company is a scam.. And if you can't see live feeds because they want you to pay for a stupid subscription.. Go and do in to the app, start a chat. Cuss them out like I did. And immediately, they freed up my live view, and I can use anytime I want. Now all I had to do was cuss out.And I was not nice.

I purchased AIWIT door bell because, there was no mandatory requirement for subscription unless you needed a cloud access for the vido clips. However its not the case only few weeks down the line, it requested a subscription. Its useless unless you pay £35 annual contribution. Miss sold.

Bought 2 cameras and nowhere did it say I would have to subscribe. What's worst is they expect $29.95 monthly per camera! I refuse to pay and what's worst is they won't let me view anything anymore. I will get something else to cover my areas and destroy these since now they are worthless!

Free service is blocked, zero customer service!

Yep I’m seeing all the people having the same issue! I also had a great experience at first, then some random ads started to pop up on my feed, and after couple of days ago I noticed I don’t receive notifications from my door camera anymore. Checking the app I realized that my free service is now blocked and asking me to pay for subscription. I emailed their customer service twice but of course no response!
