Too bad that they are not working anymore totally and completely, if they do - I would recommend them to you at any given day anyway. So for how much you should probably will do it that personally. Care to share this much or not?

I've been hosting with Akooka since 2007 - Was always such a pleasure to deal with Chrysis and Edith. I always knew I had peace of mind because their service was stable and secure. I don't know if they've sub-contracted their support department out to a primary school or what they're doing, but for the past few months it has been an absolute "punishment" dealing with Akooka. One example of their support's tardiness is their instruction to me to "delete everything and start from scratch", claiming my account was compromised. Yet a few hours before I opened a support ticket, they sent out a notice about THEIR system being hacked/compromised. I'm on the verge of signing up with another hosting company... Would rather entrust my business at a larger, more established, more professional, more cost effective and more tech savvy company than a "one band band going down".

Servers keep crashing or going down. Name servers not working, emails not working etc....look at my submitted tickets.
No notification when there is a problem. Websites simply stop working and url's don't resolve. Clients go mad and I spend wasted time on 1) finding out what the problem is 2) emailing all my clients to let them know.

Acceptable is not good enough, especially when your service down time affects my reputation.

It is virtually impossible to come by such professional, prompt and friendly service. The support from Akooka has been amazing - they truly care about their customers. They have answered all of my queries in almost no time and have guided me on all processes that I was unfamiliar with. The best service provider that I have used (and there has been a couple). I would recommend them in a heartbeat! All the staff, especially Edith ROCKS!

I view Akooka as a strategic business partner, and not just a hosting company, because without them and their support, I do not have a business!
There might be 2-3 incidents at most during a year, that requires attention from their side, and then they always produce!

I especially want to praise Edith who always calmly handles my issues when they arise.

I am thank full to Akooka and endorse them 100%

I was forced to look for a new web host as our old web host was ripping us off. I asked my “techie” friends and did a lot of research into which web host to use. I emailed about 5 web hosts for quotes and only Akooka responded. I sent an email requesting quotes on a Sunday and much to my surprise I had the quotes within minutes. Many companies claim to have 24/7 support but never deliver on this promise but Akooka has.

Akooka’s pricing is excellent and there service is exceptional, I wish there were more companies that handle their clients in the manner that Akooka does. I wish them a very prosperous future.

I was forced recently to start looking for a trustworthy hosting provider after a nasty fallout with Afrihost. As always, the measure of a good company is the type of service one receive when things go wrong rather than when everything's running smoothly. So it was only after many years that I realized Afrihost made a mess of my account, mixing up my own account with that of some of my clients. After six weeks, they still weren't able to fix their accounting problems, and I have given up on them. Today, I am actually glad it happened as I have discovered a great new partner in Akooka. During the last five years, I have just about used every hosting company in South Africa at some stage, and I have never had the privilege of receiving such a trouble-free service from any. My kudos go to Edith and the team for the smooth transfer of four of my websites so far. With this type of service, I am trying to convince all my clients to change service providers. On the technical side, I have done a number of tests, and the servers are responsive, even faster than my previous host, and I have far more control over my websites. I have for a change absolutely nothing to complain about. Well done, Akooka and Edith!

I've never encountered a hosting company with service levels that come close to those of Akooka.

The lady in the Jhb office is very efficient and helpful - always getting back within the same day.

Akooka is truly a wonderful company to partner with, with regards to my website hosting. Their service, follow up, advice and trouble shooting are excellent and I always get quick and swift responses to queries.
