Poor customer service …
I purchased an electric mower 2 days ago. In the aldi app and there free pamphlets about future sales items it showed this mower at £79.99 and all complete. When we went to purchase the mower it did not include the battery or charger. This was a further £30. I emailed aldi and all I got was a push off. A great store but rubbish customer service.
Great store
I had a great experience during my recent visit to Aldi. The store was impressively clean and well-organized, making it easy to find everything on my list.
Finding a spot was a breeze as the parking was excellent, and the best part was the checkout process—there were no queues, allowing me to get through the tills and on my way quickly. Highly recommended for an efficient shopping trip!
Aldi at St James retail center…
Visited Aldi at St James retail center today.
As I basically can't walk I use a mobility scooter so have difficulty using the manned tills and 6 of the self service tills due to the size of my scooter.
Was waiting for one of the 2 tills I can use although there were 4 free tills and a wonderful assistant said she'd scan my 6 items and pop them in my shopping bag so I didn't have to wait.
What wonderful, considerate and helpful staff work at this store in Sheffield
Recycling is terrible
The price of food is good, my only gripe with the place across the board is the recycling is terrible, should be a lot more easier to recycle at home rather than bringing almost all of my recyclables back into store rather than at home. Makes me think about converting back to Tesco for convenience in this area alone.
We had the big daddy steak
We had the big daddy steak, rump steak twice and was beautiful. This weekend the same steak was inedible, tough as old boots,in fact I had 1piece and the dog had the rest.
I have thought long and hard about this…
I have thought long and hard about this review about Aldi Madeley but I am now going to submit it. On the 24th of April I was shopping and there was an issue with another customer which was handled ridiculously badly by their staff. It was clear the gentleman who had an issue had challenges. Yet these challenges were made much worse by the staff who clearly approached this man as though he was an idiot. Customers should not be referred to as mate. Customers upon request should be furnished with contact details for local representative they can contact or even head office. They should not be told you can Google it mate and look it up yourself. It’s all available online. Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever and other phrases.
Customers should also be listened to because from what I could make out he had a valid concern that was not being dealt with. The Man had purchased some items one of which he wanted to exchange for another. A packet of crisps due to an allergy issue. He hadn’t even left the store so there should not have been an issue with this. He was treated like a criminal.
The poor guy who was a security guard was left to deal with the incident and by this point because three members of staff had treated this man as though he had just escaped from the local lunatic asylum the situation for the security guard was much worse.
No physical altercation took place but the staff in attendance may as well have been holding up banners to say we are laughing at you, Mr. Customer.
The one person who I had an issue with in particular who was a member of staff failed to engage with me as a paying customer at the till. He was too busy expressing his opinion loud enough for everyone to hear whilst talking to his colleagues on his head communication device fixed in one ear. His description of the customer including various phrases such as I just wanted to break his legs are not okay.
Aldi, I’ve been shopping with you since your first store opened in Birmingham and this is the lowest of the low.
You need to deal with this. I never even got a thank you for my shopping. And my receipt was pushed in front of me for me to pick up. This is lousy service and if this is the best you’ve got then I think you know what the rest of this phrase will be. Rotten service to the core.
I was doing a shop for groceries at the…
I was doing a shop for groceries at the Fazakerley Aldi today. I completed the shop and joined a queue to pay at the till. An announcement came that another till was opening. I emptied my shopping and waited for a till operator to appear. After 3 calls over the tannoy for an operator ( who did not appear) i walked out of the shop leaving all of my groceries on the conveyor belt.
If the staff spent less time discussing their evening itinerary and latest boyfriend troubles, i would not be writing this complaint.
Aldi is our preferred supermarket, but the poor customer service today was not acceptable.
Aldi Swanley Used to be a lovely place…
Aldi Swanley Used to be a lovely place to shop until it became rift with alcoholics and junkies shop lifting and now innocent shoppers are harrassed before paying for shopping to look in their bags and trolleys while I watch shop lifters walk out because they are afraid to tackle them. So what sense does it make to install two security points, one that goes off by tills if you don't pay to then harrass customers and it's with a damanding attitude. Today when I politely said doesn't the security points work here because Asda doesn't demand to look in trolleys unless alarm goes off, which is proper customer service, and she responded we're not Asda and regardless of security points we require to look in your bags. I find the policy too invasive and ineffective against the violent shop lifters and being autistic don't want people hassling me for no good reason. I replied politely based on your response you've made the decision for me and she demanded to know what decision. I simply said to not shop here anymore.
I WAS the greatest fan
I WAS the greatest fan, always shopped at Aldi, but now that's all finished. Their prices are increasing at a rapid rate and way above the government figures showing food inflation at 4.2%. Aldi's sausages are awful, totally changed from last year, many snack items and frozen dinners have increased by up to 30% in the last 12 months.
Aldi! You should revert to the high street competitor that you were and stop swindling your loyal customers.
Just had Aldi Bilash lamb samosas
Just had Aldi Bilash lamb samosas, best in the UK
Accurate Stock Control Cricital
I love shopping at Aldi especially the middle isle, so many ideas and useful items.
I bought a cordless mower and battey, but, inspite of checking stock levels every time, when their stock reporting ststem says it in stock, i go the Havant and a few minutes later it is not available in the shop.
Sadly i have had to stop using the mower as i cant recharge.
Has anyone else had the same experience.
Endless journeys to the shop is costing me more in petrol than the charger.
Worst steak ever!…
Bought an £8 30 day aged rib eye steak from Aldi Hartlepool today. Almost inedible. Huge strip of gristle running right through it. They advertise themselves as the cheapest supermarket, probably this is why, they sell rubbish
Great shopping experience
I have know been using your store at straiton loanhead for 10 weeks know so hear are my points 1. Excellent staff not a complaint when I ask for assistance 2. Great products granted not as big a selection as some other supermarkets but good for me 3. Clean and tidy store 4. All products tidy on shelf I could go on and on so please thank your staff at this store for an excellent shopping experience Thank You
Rude staff
Went to the store to buy 3 boxes of spaghetti, I have bought this in different store before and was told I am allowed up to 72 pieces. A staff in the store started shouting you are only allowed 1 box. When I said in other store I was told I can have up 72 units he went to his other colleague whom claimed to be the store manager and explained him the situation. He cames down on me like I am stealing the items and wanted to remove it from my basket.
Mostly staff at the till are the one handling this sort of issue.
They have not acted professionally at all.
Bad service, again.
Went to the newish Aldi Store in Selby, last time I visited the Selby store, I vowed never to return but having moved to new premises I thought it should of improved.
What a mistake, I went to buy a water butt. The one manned till was very busy, so I went onto a self service, cash / card.
The butt would not fit onto the goods tray, so I tried to enter the barcode, having difficulty I went to a member of staff 2mts away at a shelf, ask her for help but she said I,d have to get someone with a key, pointing over her shoulder, to no one specific.
Went back and tried again on the adjacent self service, same result, the young lady from the till then came over, put a key in the till , reset and walked off.
On the way out I said to her theres a problem with those tills, she said I know, I said does the manager know, she shrugged her shoulders,
This is the level of customer service to be expected??
I'll never never return.
Mouldy fruit Aldi Madeley Telford
They have mouldy fruit on the shelves, Aldi in Madeley Telford had black grapes with a Lot of white fluffy mould and after telling a member of staff she just said thanks and took them off me, why are they even on the shelves, clearly not checking what they are putting out
My ALDI review is for the lovely Ethan…
My ALDI review is for the lovely Ethan who works on the till at the White City, Manchester store.
I had a query regarding the till closed signs and Ethan explained the procedure which wasnt as straightforward as I thought. Anyway Ethan was polite, engaging and the interaction between him, my husband and I was delightful. What a credit to the store.
Thank you Ethan.
Won’t sell you reduced price items if someone’s made a mistake.
Very disappointing, went into The Hyde SK14 branch, this morning to do my weekly shop.
On the way round I spotted a joint of beef with a 50% off sticker on it. “Wow bargain,” this would be the first time I’d bought beef in years as it’s just too expensive. So I was in for a treat.
Got to the tills to check out, the cashier checked the date and said “this is still in date.” “So this 50% been placed by mistake or it’s “fallen” on to it.” So how is this my fault?
After speaking to her manager they refused to sell it to me at 50% off.
So I refused to buy it because it was a tenner.
I was absolutely gutted. So it is clear if they make a mistake with pricing they will simply move the goal posts to stop you getting it at a reduced price. What a stingy profit hungry policy.
beef joint absolutely disgusting
beef joint absolutely disgusting. could not chew it. supposed to be aberdeen angus dry cured. A load of
false labeling at its worst. Cannot be bothered to take it
back to the shop, its the second time its happened. Last time I will shop at Aldi. How the heck they claim best
supermartket is beyond me.
Moved to Morrisons
I have been trying to get a reply from Aldi about Halal products and despite sending the email three times I have not had a reply.
I now use a local butcher who has non halal meat and buy my groceries from Morrisons.
The prices between Morrisons and Aldi are very similar.
The customer service is better than Aldi’s and the quality of the fresh produce is better.
