Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 756 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently expressed dissatisfaction with product quality, noting fresh produce often being rotten or going off quickly, and other items changing in taste, containing excessive fat, or having packaging issues. Many also reported negative experiences with customer service, describing staff as unhelpful, rude, or treating them poorly, especially when dealing with complaints or returns. Two members of staff accused me of stealing the trolley which was in my car. The trolley was my own. My door was grabbed preventing me from closing it while they satisfied themselves they had made a mistake. I had no apology.

Aldi poor fish quality

Bought their cod fillets in breadcrumbs
The first time we weren’t too impressed but thought we’d give it another try. Wrong. They don’t compare in any way to Birds Eye. They’re rubbery with large piece I lumps — nothing like Birds Eye Even the breadcrumbs aren’t a touch on Bird’s Eye.
There’s no point in taking them back —that won’t improve them and who keeps EVERY receipt.

Dear Aldi Customer Services,

Dear Aldi Customer Services,
I would like to make a complaint regarding a pack of part-baked white bread rolls that I purchased from Aldi last Friday.
Although the package shows a best before date of 27 June 2026, I discovered that one of the bread rolls inside the sealed package was already mouldy. As you can see from the attached photos, there is visible mould on the product despite it being well within its stated shelf life.
I am very disappointed with the quality control of this product, as food products should be safe and fresh when sold. I would appreciate an explanation of how this could have happened and information about the compensation or refund process.
Please find attached photographs of the product, packaging, and date marking for your reference.
I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,

Colour ran on throw and 6 months later nothing

Bought a burgundy fur throw at Christmas. The colour transferred to my new ecru sofa one if a pair I spoke to customer services The lady has been very nice but we are now into June. They have asked for photos, throw to be returned which I did BUT they have admitted they’ve lost it. Details of sofa, receipts for sofas, quotes to clean All of which I have provided. To date I have received NOTHING not even a refund for the throw. It has apparently been escalated to head off about a month ago and now no one takes my calls or replies to emails. I have asked for copies of all correspondence re data protection.
All I wanted was some compensation snd refund for throw
Surely someone in Aldi can see some sense in this.
I have been extraordinarily patient
Please Aldi do the right thing

Aldi Pwhelli

Ive been an Aldi shopper for many years, really happy with the new location, Aldi prices, clean and tidy. Most staff are helpfull and friendly at the Pwhelli store, but some make it no secret that they dont like the English visitors. They cant throw the food down the rollers at the till quick enough. No pleasantaries ie good morning etc.
Maybe they should stay in the back or work elswhere, where they dont have to interact with us English. Tends to be to be the older staff. Really dont understand it.

I have a mobility issue

I have a mobility issue. I spent £173 at the Gypsy Lane, Luton UK site and 1hr50 min. For that, Parkingeye are trying to fine me £70. Aldi are denying the car park belongs to them and feigning helplessness, whilst hiring Parkingeye to run the car park for them. I am appealing. Do not use Aldi if you have mobility issues or pain. They have zero loyalty to customers. I used Aldi as my main shop. Ths £173 was in addition to my monthly shop. After 18 years of being a regular customer this is how they treated me. BOYCOTT ALDI.

Aldi Lewes.

Aldi Lewes.
Dreadful store.
In the middle of being extended, one end of the store chopped off, dozens of paper towels mopping up leaks, now cramped, stacking trollies blocking the aisles.
Apparently unable to take deliveries during the day, the entrance is piled up with empty tote boxes.
Likely to be going on for another 4 to 5 months.
The store is untidy, but the scale of empty shelves has to be seen to be believed.
For several days now, there hasn't been a grape in sight, so the first thing you see going in is empty shelves. What a welcome.
Same with the Deli shelves.
Rubbish on the floor. Scruffy.
The worst of it is the total lack of apology or information for customers.
You would think with all the disruption the Aldi might put a notice up saying sorry.
But no. Buy cheap, get cheap.
Not expecting Fortnum and Mason service, but Aldi sets new standards for all the wrong reasons.
Thanks a lot Aldi.
I have to walk a mile in each direction to spend money and pay your wages.
Customers deserve better than this clapped out shed.
This part of Lewes is looking really run down, derilect.
A bit like Aldi. Roll on Lidl.

Looking in people's shopping bags

I was shopping with my nephew who is vulnerable we had been shopping in other shops prior.
As I was loading my shopping on at the till I asked my nephew to fetch something he returned in a minute and was beside me the manager asked him to open his bags and what has he in his bags.
I turned round to ask why he was looking in his bags ..he replied someone had taken something earlier in the day ..
That to me is not good enough
This was kings mill store Mansfield
I would never shop there again.

The fresh chicken hmmmm!

The fresh chicken seems to always go off long before sell by date! I’m comparing the quality here against the American Aldi. Their standards are much higher than the UK. Guess they buy in chicken sourced locally and not from Europe!! Just saying! Think on this Aldi.

Their products used to be good

Their products used to be good. Seemingly since the Covid era & the sucessive clueless interfering in everything including food they have no clue about governments we've had the last decade or so, mostly their products seem to have followed the downward spiral. In this case I've just been subjected to a Crestwood Puff Pastry Topped Chicken Pie. Some 6 years ago it was another make they had & always good. That disappeared & their successive different makes got worse to this abomination. I shan't be returning there anymore now. It was akin to a cross between cutting through & chewing a Breeze Block with a Chicken flavored Kibble inside & not much of that to boot. In fact I dare say a tin of Pedigree Chum would have been more tasty.

Bought a Yardforse Robot Mower MB400

Bought a Yardforse Robot Mower for £130. Very suspicious that it may not work. Set it up with the boundary wire, which took some time and effort as we have a large garden with a few obstacles to avoid. Any way 3 OAPS took about 3 hours to get it sorted and it works superbly. What a bargain.

Disappointed single home shopper

Used to be happy with shopping at Aldi but nowadays not so pleased. I am a single person and while I appreciate maybe more families shop there but am finding packs are more geared to bigger families and got told, when asking why I could no longer buy Warburton 6 roll pack, we have just discontinued supplying it. 12 roll packs don't last and Aldi burger buns cost more than the 12 pack of Warburton. The attitude was 'tough' with no remorse. Disappointed shoppers.
