Ruining my wedding experience.

So back in August 2013 after saving up and searching many designers I ordered my wedding dress from a shop called Wedding Secrets in Gateshead, UK. I was told after paying the almost £500 deposit that the dress would take no more than 6 months and would be available to pick up at the latest by the end of January 2014. This worked well for me as i was hoping to change the neck line of the dress and have some alterations done along with aiming to go down a couple of dress sizes once it had arrived, so I would have almost 6 months to get to my perfect fit.

This is the reason i ordered the dress almost a year in advance. Its now May, my dress is 4 months late, I have had no apologies from Alexia. The shop in which i made my order has been polite but not very helpful. I understand that their hands are tied due to the fact that Alexia are an American company and for some reason are unable to communicate with their customers. But that doesn't excuse the crappy service from either of them and the lack of any responsibility for this horrible situation.

I am so stressed i cant even begin to tell you, at first i thought oh thats ok its just a month late but this has happened every month! I keep called Wedding secrets to find out whats going on, in February they told me that it would definitely be here by no later than end of april or the 1st of May. Well guess what? Its the 6th of May and I've been told that its going to be another 3 or 4 weeks. Even then i have no assurances that its going to be here in 3 or 4 weeks!

I have asked for some money to be knocked off or for at least for my dress fittings to be free, from Alexia or the shop as after all it is their reputation on the line as my contract of sale is with them.

I have asked for a contact at Alexia or for my details to be passed to them. I've tried reaching out to them on Twitter. I am at my wits end and am thinking about ordering a dress from eBay just so i know that I will have something to walk down the aisle in! Or at least to see what i look like in the style as i haven't even tried on this type of dress in a size that can get over my hips! (Wedding dress samples are tiny)

My dream dress has turned into a nightmare stressful situation, i haven't been able to work towards my desired dress size as i haven't even tried the thing on! EVER.

I am gutted, so disappointed and its turning what should be the happiest day of my life into a crap stressful event that i don't even feel excited about anymore.

So this is my honest review lets hope they can repair the damage they have cased and actually deliver on their contract by making a better effort with their customer services.
