If I could give them no stars

If I could give them no stars, I would. This company is a joke. The flight attendants are lazy and rude. The flights are always delayed, the pilots never show up, the flight attendants steal anything you accidentally leave behind. Their customer service is the worst.

Awful awful experience with this…

Awful awful experience with this company that clearly offers lower prices to be able to scam you in every way they can after. My wife and 10 month old baby who can’t even walk just got denied on a flight due to them not believing my baby was under 24 months! My grandmother passed away, my wife and baby were in Destin for vacation, I flies up to be with family and go to funeral and bought my wife and baby a ticket from Destin. They are now there and not able to come to funeral because Mike the manager and Michelle were trying to make them pay a full price 250 bucks for an adult seat she couldn’t even sit in! Scammers, heartless people at the desk, and unfortunately they are doing what they were taught to do by this horrendous airline. Pay the extra money get a great experience with a real airline please.

Frustrating and Inconsistent Infant Policy and awful customer service – Families Beware

My family and I recently flew round-trip with Allegiant from Norfolk (ORF) to Cincinnati (CVG), and it was one of the most frustrating travel experiences we’ve had—with a 10-month-old and a 4-year-old in tow.

We received our booking confirmation on May 8th, which clearly listed our baby as “Infant on Lap.” Our outbound flight was on June 16th. At check-in, we noticed that "Infant on Lap" was missing from the boarding pass. We brought it up immediately to the agent, who assured us everything was fine and we were “good to go.” But once onboard, the flight crew grilled us in front of other passengers, saying the baby wasn't in the system. We were confused, embarrassed, and delayed—despite doing everything by the book.

Our return flight on June 23rd was worse. Allegiant staff confirmed our daughter had flown with us, yet refused to let her board unless we either showed her birth certificate (which was never requested before) or bought a full-price ticket. This policy makes no sense—and the contradiction was never explained.

I submitted a formal complaint on June 25, got no response, followed up by phone on July 9, and was treated disrespectfully by a rude call center agent who ended the call mid-conversation. After a second written follow-up, I received a generic response on July 15 denying a refund and failing to acknowledge their internal failures.

We’ve been regular Allegiant customers, but after how we were treated—and the complete lack of accountability—we are extremely hesitant to ever fly with them again. If you're flying with children, especially infants, be warned: Allegiant’s policies are inconsistently enforced, poorly communicated, and you will bear the burden for their mistakes.

Terrible

Hello, my wife and i have been flying Allegiant for around 5 years to see my brother in Myrtle beach, SC.
This past week, on June 27, we had a flight to go out of Albany NY. now, i understand that the flight had to be cancelled due to weather, that i appreciate. we all were told to exit plane and that if we would like to we would need to book another flight next day. we did and that was perfect. So we arrived at my brothers June 28 and i put my phone away at his place because im on vacation. on July 1 i had a phone call and i noticed that i had a credit from Allegiant for the whole flight i purchased. they cancelled my return flight!!!. why?!!! so i had to rebook a return flight for July 7. same flight mind you. had to purchase tickets for my wife and i . Additional cost. the net of the refund and the tickets i had to purchase put me $400 in the hole. My big beef here is why did they cancel the return flight 6 days ahead????? customer service was unhelpful saying that i must have cancelled it. why would i????

Booting a veteran on memorial day

I'm a veteran and was on my way back to Wisconsin for Memorial Day weekend. For a veteran's Meetup. I have a service dog for a heart condition. In any case they randomly denied my flight now this is uniquely interesting. Because there was three ways she was qualified to go they have a program called honor flights for veterans which she's qualified to go as just a animal in which no paperwork is required and if she can just accompany me. But instead the flight was delayed and they made me wait until everybody was there and then said I was no longer allowed to fly but we did until we were boarding until they booted me off the flight. It was incredibly unprofessional a lot of the people that were waiting with me we're visibly upset actually even more so than myself and we're absolutely disgusted with the airline. But that's what you expect from Allegiant Airlines. They come up with some random thing as to why my service dog couldn't fly yet every other dog can fly that is not service dog or service dog related. Just a note all the paperwork was filed previously they did not notify me 10 days in advance as required by regulation and they just skipped all practical regulations and their own policy and just pretty much told me to pack sand. But they did it very publicly and now it's on all the veteran channels

rude flight attendant Exit Row issue

Horrible rude flight attendant. when ordering and paying extra for seats with leg room buyer beware. Dont pay extra for exit row we are in one now and it’s more cramped than a regular seat even though we specified exit row. I have a sprained foot and the exit row with more leg room is empty but they would not let us move. Zero

I asked if I could use the bathroom…

I asked if I could use the bathroom right after I was seated, while the door was still open. I was told no. I have a medical condition that causes me to not be able to hold it for long periods of time. I needed to pee I was seated in the second row of the plane.. 2.5 second walk to the bathroom 45 seconds needed to handle business anther 2.5 seconds to my seat after business was done.. totaling 50 seconds.. ( yeah I’d didn’t wash my hands for the sake of everyone on the plane, who wanted to take off, but I did bring and use hand sanitizer after I seated again) I paid for premium seating… after taxing the run way for 40 MIN I couldn’t hold it anymore and I got up to use the bathroom. I timed it.. 46 seconds from the time I stood up to the time I was seated again.. beat expectations by 4 seconds… quick time!! The flight attendant decided to get on the intercoms and tell the whole plane it was my fault we weren’t taking off.. even though we have been sitting on the runway at the time for almost 40 min. And I needed less than a min. I made sure to stand up and tell the whole plane I asked before the door was closed. This is how they treat the premium paying passengers .. don’t fly with this trashy outfit.. you probably get treated better on spirit. We are the paying customers! With out us you don’t fly! Every airline needs to figure these things out. People need to speech out more about there experiences flying cause the industry as a whole in the United States is trash.

Rescheduled Flight Times & Not Enough Flights

Last October (2024) Allegiant rescheduled our flight for 4 hours later, and we ended up missing our entire event in Florida because of that. Now, looking ahead to flying again this October 25th (2025) there is only one flight back from Punta to Flint at 6:00PM. The only flight. Normally there are 2-3 per day. For the first time in years, I plan to travel to Florida on Delta. It's cheaper to go into Ft. Myers, and there are 3-4 flights to choose from. I am not sitting around all day waiting for one evening flight out. That sounds like trouble.

Avoid Allegiant airlines - disrespectful behavior to consumers

I went to the FLL airport to board my Allegiant flight #581, initially scheduled for 6:50 PM.

The flight was delayed, and finally, at 10:30 PM, we were informed by the staff at gate C7 that the flight was cancelled. During this time, the workers at the counter were laughing and making jokes among themselves, while passengers like me waited for six hours in discomfort. I found this extremely disrespectful.

I asked for information multiple times, but the response was always to wait, followed by sarcastic and very rude behavior.

At 10:30 PM, an Allegiant employee announced over the speaker that the luggage would be delivered at a certain carousel. Several customers asked about the recovery plan and any support from the company. After 15 minutes, she returned in a very rude manner, saying that the company would give $200 and we could do whatever we wanted with the money. The new flight is scheduled for 11:00 AM the next day. This is a total lack of support, empathy, and respect for customers.

I would give less than one star if I could. My husband and I traveled and thought the airline would honor their policy of not charging a luggage fee for veterans. They did not. This is the second time the airline employees have refused to honor this policy.

Airline ticket and Rental bundle - DON'T DO IT!

We bundled a flight and rental car deal between Allegiant and Alamo for 6 days. When we took the rental out at Alamo, we told them we may return it early and were told it was not a problem. We returned the car after only 3 days and Allegiant refused to return the unused 3 days of rental - we lost $212. Allegiant is fine with taking money for services they did not render.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with…

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Luggage and Customer Service

My family and I recently had a very disappointing experience flying with Allegiant Air. We were traveling with our baby, and despite paying extra to check in our baggage, car seat, and stroller, Allegiant lost both the car seat and stroller. Our troubles started even before we boarded the plane at Austin South Gate. At security, they insisted on opening all of our baby’s ready-to-feed formula milk. Despite informing them that the formula would spoil once opened, they were completely uncooperative. While one staff member seemed to understand, a very rude lady insisted on opening every bottle, leaving us with spoiled milk that we had no choice but to throw away.

Once we arrived at CVG airport, things only got worse. Our stroller and car seat were nowhere to be found at baggage claim or the oversized baggage area. We waited for hours, but no Allegiant staff showed up to help. To make matters worse, we couldn’t get a ride home because Uber refused to take us without a car seat for our baby.

Trying to contact Allegiant’s customer service has been a nightmare. Their phone lines, live chat, and text messaging services are limited to a small window from 10 AM to 4 PM, and even then, no one answered. We are still waiting for a resolution.

This airline is cheap, and their service reflects that. If you’re willing to spend a little extra, I strongly recommend choosing another airline to avoid the immense stress and poor treatment we experienced. Allegiant Air’s management is nonexistent, their customer service is the worst I’ve ever encountered, and their complete disregard for customers is shocking. This airline should be avoided at all costs.

Very Disappointed in dishonest…

Very Disappointed in dishonest treatment and service. Bought three seats each with a checked bag. Gate agent was nasty. Would not allow our third bag checked even though we paid for it because we chose to keep center seat empty. We were charged $75 for a second bag on y seat. Gate agent said get a refund jokelike. I've tried 3 times to get a refund. No one to call! You send request in on internet, not even email This primitive airline is creepy

Horrible shuttle service.

Do not count on their shuttle from main airport in Austin out to Allegiant terminal. We had never used before and asked about shuttle. Stated they pick up every 20 minutes. They do not! We kept calling number and were told “oh you just missed it, sending another shuttle you way in two minutes, oh it will be there in 10”. What gets me is the lying. The shuttle driver said that the only reason she came was our calls. Then got on shuttle with others and would not give her permission to depart. We almost missed flight.

Allegiant Bad company.

I didn't want to waste my time posting a review. So as not to ruin my day, it's impossible not to mention how incompetent and disrespectful they are to customers with the continuous delay of their flights. Specifically, flight 1409 on 02/08/2024 was supposed to arrive in Knoxville at 5:30 and arrived at 8:30 pm, three hours later. And all without notifying these changes in time, the information arrives on time to board the plane. And the same thing is happening now with flight 3029 from today 05/08/2024, when you are at the gate to board and they tell you that the flight will now leave at 12:24 pm, it was moved to 2:59 pm. It's a shame that we don't have any rights and the companies do whatever they want with the passengers. That's why the option is not to fly with these types of companies and in the reviews give a very bad review so that other passengers don't go through this. To contact me you can do so through my email er73layahoo.com and I did not contact you for excuses the damage is done.

HORRIBLE in all caps 😠🤬very non-negotiable staff at the McGhee Tyson Airport location! I missed flight time and wasn't able to go in and rebook or secure new flight the following day due to the Microsoft shutdown. Came in the following late evening, no one was present at the counter to assist with a new flight. Called phone number provided and was told to call back 9am ( which was after time of new flight I had purchased for 5:49am). Arrived during departure time to try and reschedule was told I have to pay for new flight and purchased was non-refundable ☹️Delta airlines would never handle my situation like this. I remember it was time I missed a flight 3 times in one day only paid rebooking fee for a fraction of the price and other 2 didn't have to pay anything. Called customer care to seek relief and was humiliated by rep who continually called me a "Sir" after I told her I was a woman 🥲
