We made a reservation online, but wanted to cancel due to a health issue. I called Allegiant Air customer service and had to wait 8,(YES 8) hours before I could reach a customer service agent on the phone!!!!
If I could leave a negative score
If I could leave a negative score, I would. I have been so disappointed by Allegiant. A recent trip left me waiting an hour and a half to get my luggage. This was after we were an hour late on both legs of the trip. As I’m writing this, I’ve been sitting on the runway for one hour while we wait for the other Allegiant aircraft to move from the gate we need to occupy. The level of incompetence is baffling. I doubt anyone will even read this review but it’s a way to channel the rage I feel as I’m held hostage by this joke of an airline. I’ll gladly pay the higher rate for a better airline in the future.

Allegiant is a total failed business.
I Have flown the same flight Fort Wayne to Punta Gorda more than 20 times.
1. This flight is delayed 75-80% of the time today 4 hrs and still counting
2. This particular flight has been canceled more than any other Allegiant flight according to the
statistics.
3. The new lightning rule 15min for 15miles is a joke this is Florida and in the summertime it storms everyday. Last flight we were held on the plane captive on the tarmac for 1 hr 50 min after the plane left more than 1 hour late and a 2 hour 12 min flight. Total time with typical 1 hr early arrival was over 5.5 hrs.
This company needs a refreshed administration literally fire and replace everyone...
Worst experience
Worst experience. Made us wait for six hours with no updates. When they finally told us we could board, they told us REPEATEDLY to be quick because there was a window to meet. A joke
The most obnoxious employees ever
The most obnoxious employees ever. We only needed a wheelchair and they made us stand in line even though we had boarding passes and no bags. Nothing but attitude. After standing in a line that was wrapped around the same lady said we didn't need to check in because we had no bags and had boarding passes, which I had already told her, then she ordered the wheelchair.
They take your money and you get NOTHING
Tickets were paid for in March '21 for September '21 departure which included luggage and seat upgrades. A new job was taken July '21 and thus no vacation time. Flights were cancelled due to new job on August 1 2021.
My thoughts were to plan another trip in '22 and prevent losing the additional $300 (cancel cost $60).
I now am finding out that I have NO CREDIT!
Evidently they manipulate the dates to their advantage and offer nothing in return.
This was my first and last dealing with these crooks.
My frustration is in overpaying for seats and luggage which was NEVER provided which basically doubled the original flight cost.

I booked a flight (2509) from Palm Beach International to Concordia on Friday 22nd April with Allegiant. The airline cancelled it a few weeks before that date and promised a refund within 72 hours. Despite several emails, I have still not received my £170 (or equivalent dollar) refund into my Paypal account.

It has been 4 months. 4 MONTHS since i've been waiting for my refund for my cancelled flight.
We booked a flight for LAS to SMX on the 9 January 2022 but we could not land because of the weather. They told us we'd get a refund in 2 weeks but it's been 4 months since i've tried contacting Allegiant in all ways possible and just couldn't. When i try calling them from my country it doesn't respond. When i try connecting to their website from my country the website is blocked. My only option was to e-mail them and they have automatically replied 4 times asking me if my issue was still a thing and i keep saying yes but nobody ever deals and sends me an e-mail concerning my refund.
Allegiant please, if you see this please help for my refund for flight BLD46G. I have lost 392$ and even more since i had to book a hotel and book another flight with the same company but for a worse airport destination and higher price.
Vouchers not working/horrible customer service
My vouchers are not working and I am currently on the phone waiting to talk to someone. I have currently been on phone for 3hours. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! This makes you want to spend more for a ticket to get better customer service!

We just learned our flights in August were cancelled without explanation. We were given a number to call and after several hours total on the phone I have given up on reaching them. The flights may work for you and save you a few dollars but the dependability is a big concern.

I got bumped at the last minute and I was so upset!I had visited my sister and I had been crying nonstop.I have not seen her in 5 years.Airport security was more than wonderful and gave me a lift and set me up with a hotel and another flight. I traveled from Flordia to NY on March 16th 2022 and we were delayed, then deborded due to fog, waited almost an hour to get back on, then waited another 30 minutes to take off. When we finally landed at the Elmira Airport we waited yet ANOTHER 45 minutes for an e gate to get off. But while we were waiting we were all feeling nauseous and smelling fumes. It was hydrologic fumes from the plane. 45 MINUTES!!!!! I have it on video of the pilot apologizing for not turning something off on the plane. And all they did was offer $75 off my mother's next flight. Nothing about my flight. Just hers. We flew together!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I had a migraine for 3 straight day from those fumes. They could care less. I messaged them over 2 weeks ago privately to express my concern and they NEVER replied back.

I would not use Allegiant Air if they paid me to do so! I have been attempting to simply upgrade my car bundle to a larger car for weeks and weeks and weeks. The car rental service can not assist me because it was booked thru Allegiant. I have called and been placed on hold for more than 2 hours. No one ever answers and often the call just hangs up on you. In fact, often the customer service line simply rings busy. I have tried on line chat and there are never representatives available. I have sent multiple emails and never get a response. It is not worth the tiny savings you think you are getting. They indicates that you can make changes and even cancel for free but trust me, you will never reach anyone to help you to do so.

They have the worst app and website I have ever attempted to use. As a result there is always a 3 hr wait for customer service. I have been trying to resolve issues for over a year and I am not going to attempt the wait time as I am always cut off. I'm am switching rewards cards and dumping them. Maybe if there system wasn't full of ridiculous pop ups it would be more usable. No point in having points I can't use or that just disappear.

Been on the phone waiting for over 2.5 hrs to get in touch with an agent. I want to book my flight in October and can not use my voucher according to the website. I can't even chat with anyone, for they are not on line at all.

I fly Allegiant at least twice a year, I have never had any problems that were to big to handle. In the past 4 years I have flown out of Punta Gorda to Westchester airport, Allen town. South Carolina and back to Punta Gorda 2 times we were delayed once was plane trouble (was glad they delayed us for safety reasons, other was weather -beyond their control. I live with in 10 mins of the Punta Gorda airport and am glad we have Allegiant there. I am hoping they add a flight yo Pensacola fl so I could go to friends and business on weekends.
Flights cancelled. No options.
Flight was cancelled with no explanation. Email message gave a website and phone number. Tried website first. After almost a dozen attempts to revise travel -- in which I made it past the payment option -- I only got error messages saying something unexpected occured. Next, I tried the phone number. It took more than 20 calls to the number before I was connected to the automated systems. I've now been on hold for almost 2 and a half hours.

DO NOT Fly ALLEGIANT! I repeat do not fly ALLEGIANT! Three separate guests at three separate times had their flights canceled and left them stranded.
ALLEGIANT has NO customer service available! Impossible to reschedule especially on weekends when they are closed. Typically their online site is down, especially on weekends. Horrible company!!!
Think twice before booking
Always late, old planes that constantly delay departures. Poor or no communication from staff. Then try calling if you can wait on the phone for four hours.
In particular I am speaking of the Orlando/Sanford to Albany route.

Put my phone on speaker, and waited for FOUR HOURS AND NINETEEN MINUTES, before I had to hang up and go to church!

Finally sent an email, and did get an automated response that it would take between 4-6 weeks for an answer. I gave all flight info, and confirmation number.
If you fly in this airline MAKE SURE everything is PERFECT with your reservation before you hit that “submit” button!!
I will keep after them in 4-6 weeks.
