Our flight was originally delayed by 15…

Our flight was originally delayed by 15 minutes. As the delay stretched longer and longer, no one could officially tell us what was going on or how long we would wait, only that they would not give any refunds but that we could transfer flights to another day without penalty. However in order to even do that, we would have to leave to go to the ticketing office, which was outside the TSA security checkpoint. TSA had left by then (with stancheons up that prevented anyone from leaving), so our fear was that of we left, and didn't get rebooked, we couldn't come back and wait for our current flight since there was no security left. We waited for over 2 hours with no information. Eventually we were told that we would be leaving FOUR hours late. We eventually did, but after asking what would happen since we would arrive in Sanford five hours before the rental car agency counter opened (or three hours after it closed), we were told that we would just have to wait or ask them when we got there. When we got there there were no employees of allegiant there to ask so we asked the allegiant luggage check in supervisor, who was working with departing flights and she said she was just contracted through allegiant (though she had an allegiant shirt on and was working at an allegiant counter) and that I had to contact allegiant customer care...which was closed then since it was 4 am. She also said we would have to wait for five more hours for our rental car and there was nothing she could do even though we booked the car through allegiant. At least the rental car agency was open and had good customer service (unlike allegiant) and we didn't have to camp out for five additional hours.

We heard no updates until we has already been sitting there for hours. And even when we had an update, we were never, to this day, provided with an explanation.

Terrible, terrible customer service. We were there with a friend who was waiting for over 6 hours for her flight to St. Petersburg FL. This is not a stand-alone incident.

Would You Hire a Person Who Treats People Like This? Allegiant Did!

Outrageous behavior by Allegiant staff member.

Flight G41759 February 7.

Approached counter and requested boarding pass because one could not be obtained from kiwi.com. The counter woman told me that I would have to pay for my boarding pass. I ask her why I would pay for a boarding pass which is required by the airline and the FAA but not by me. She then printed the ticket and in a condescending voice stated "Well since you're a beginner traveler (truth: I'll be 62 in a few days and am a retired attorney and research librarian and have traveled by air for 50 years without incident) you won't have to pay the $5.00" I failed to reply, took the ticket and walked on.

The woman is about 55 years old with black hair, stocky build, and demonstrably poor white trash.

I was shocked that such a person would be employed by ANY airline.

She then transitioned to the gate where it appeared that she abused everyone and anyone who asked her anything or replied to her with an additional question. The woman sitting next to me from South Carolina found her "snippy and rude."

Members of the Fort Lauderdale crew who I will not name also were a bit surprised by the abrasiveness of her tone and her choice of words used to an assortment of customers. Her little event with me was simply her doing airline business her own way.

Judging by her behavior, I'm convinced that she's mentally ill.
I am not looking for anything except to have her gone before she does more than just verbally abusing passengers.

It doesn't get more outrageous than this and without a doubt, it is totally untypical of your airline. But who hired this person? I would have a sit down with that genius as well.

I traveled with this company Oct 13 2019, and I took my wife's keys when I was leaving Las Vegas and she was staying in Vegas for a few more day's , I gave the Ticket check in desk the Key's and gave them 20.00 dollars if the would take them , They said ok , they would put them in lost and found, so my with went to lost and found and no keys ,, So I filled out the form for lost and found and did not get a response for a week saying they have not found them , So I wrote them again telling them what happened and nothing again , so I booked a flight and went back to Vegas to find them at lost and found , The Lady was super nice at the Lost and found at baggage claim and said Yes they where turned in on Oct 16 , So I ask her can she get them for me, and she said no , they are locked in the cage , So I got a room in Vegas and called there Main office that the Lady from Allegiant gave me, The said yes we have them ! Go to the airport and ask for Evertt and he will help you! I'm Thinking praise God ! The keys are 780.00 for new ones plus my airport bill for 860.00 for parking , BUT wait Evertt said he did not have them NOW , and I was like What , Then we talked for 5 min and Bam He said did it have a Toro riding lawn mower key on it ? and I said yes, So I knew they had them , But now he is telling me He cant find them , So I Pd 380 plane ticket's 860 parking , 200 for tow truck, and 780 for new key's , Just because they lied to me 3 diff times, and Bam 15 mins ago I get a text that they have not found them, When 3 of there people had them , Really Allegiant ! I fly all the time with you , Wow

Better than you first think

I had to give them the full 5* as the scathing Google reviews I had read before travel gave me a terrible impression of them. The flight was great. On time. Comfortable. The crew were lovely. I was more surprised as I was expecting hell. They did good.

Great "No Frills" Option!

We live in Savannah, and love having the option to fly direct to BWI. It's great and affordable. My husband recently had a to change a reservation due to expected bad weather (Hurricane Dorian), and even before decision was made to cancel the flight, they worked to reschedule him without fees. Very good service.

Absolute worst airline in US to deal…

Absolute worst airline in US to deal with. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE !; official web site does not allow you to book flights (they reset to start of booking process at any point repeatedly even after submitting payment and finish booking0: you never know if your booking got made or not unless you check with your credit card company; they allow any and every third party reservationists to call themselves "official site"; they overbook an unlimited amount.. This is only a small partial list of how this company has NO RESPECT for their customers - give them your money and maybe you'll get your flight, maybe not.

I should have known better...

I should have known better than to book with an unknown airline but I was trying to create a more economical vacation. My trip is booked for next month and I just got an email from them saying that they have changed my flight to be almost 4 hours later now. This is not acceptable!! I've flown over 5 times yearly for most of my adult life and have NEVER had an airline do that. I have scheduled my whole day (and ride to the airport) around an 11am departure and now I'm arriving at 4: 30 there so the entire day is wasted. And since I booked my trips MONTHS ago, I won't be able to find any good prices on replacement tickets, even if they did issue a refund (which I doubt they will). Spare yourself the grief and stick with the known airlines that are reliable and don't play these games - it's a mistake I'll never make again.

DO NOT FLY WITH ALLEGIANT!!!! This was THE WORST flight experience of my life. My returning flight home got CANCELLED LAST MINUTE and these amazing agents did not want to help with finding us another flight. YOU cancelled it so YOU need to fix it. How do they get away with this is beyond me. They simply said here’s your refund now go figure it out! (Which wasn’t even a full refund) Like hello we have lives we need to go live and other flights to catch this is not ok??? Ended up spending half the day trying to find another flight spent more money on a last minute flight ticket than I did during my whole vacation, nice... DO NOT FLY WITH ALLEGIANT!!!!!

They brag about their bonus programs with Bank of America neither they or Bank of America can find them called over the last year at least 12 times I waited once over an hour till someone answered they had no clue the bank was almost as bad I use allegiant a lot just want to find points

Had read negative reviews and was skeptical. Long term fan of Southwest Air. Allegiant beat them in all categories: on time, inexpensive, easy app, better notifications; whole experience. Direct flight from Nashville to Savannah and Myrtle Beach back. Five star.

Cancelled our flight out of Las Vegas …

Cancelled our flight out of Las Vegas and rescheduled​ us for a flight 30 hrs later. No explanation. Completely uncaring counterlady named Christy. Cost us approximately $1200 in lost wages animal Care, food etc. There is a problem with Allegiant out of Vegas. Friends on another Allegiant flight that same day was delayed over 12 hrs. I've had good luck with Allegiant going in and out of Florida. However they have really bad issues getting out of Las Vegas!!!

frustrating

Allan Tooraen, i feel you. I got the same sad experience with allegiantair people. Now i understand why the flight is cheap because they employ people who doesn't seem to know what they are doing. We had a 5:54pm flight from las vegas to california last feb 2, 2017. We got to the airport around 4:20, went to check in, there was a young black girl and a chubby hispanic older lady at the check in counter, who were just chatting because there was nobody checking in except us. We gave our printed tickets and IDs when the black girl said "oh the gates are closed. The latina lady answered, "Really? Sorry, i could not print your boarding pass anymore. You should have been here 2 hours before the flight!" And shoved back to us our etickets and IDs. Seriously?? What airline closes gate more that 1 1/2 hour the scheduled flight??? We were sooo frustrated and wondering what to do....when the other lady on the further side said we could still check in. What are they doing? The two allegiantair check in ladies were laughing and blaming each other like kids. They were so rude and so unprofessional. I have been to many airlines and this is the cheapest and worst experience i ever had! And the other sad news? The flight was even delayed!

I will never ever fly with this airline again. And flying with them is just like riding a bus. A bumpy and noisy bus!
