Had several unauthorized charges on my account. They said they have been working on it for 3 months! They did not do anything! They do not care & would not help me! Would not credit my card back the money! It was 9 charges a total of $636.59! All the customer service representatives were very rude, had 1 hang up on me! Each one would say something different & some you couldn’t even understand. One would tell me it was credited back to your account but we can’t get you the statement.! I ended up getting on line & hit the last year of statements & there was no credit! Just lying through her teeth! Then one said it will be credited back to your account in 72 hours. Then another one the last person you talked to dropped the ball & didn’t finish the process! Heard that one a couple times! They couldn’t even explain to me what, when, where etc about the charges. But I know I didn’t make 6 charges to an alarm place! I thought maybe I did make these charges & it’s coming up something different, but I’ll never know because they don’t know how to do there job & let you know anything! They just say it was denied. You have to pay for it! Then you could tell some were not even listening, do NOT use this bank, you will regret it! Have had nothing but problems, money taken, & frustration. Then I have to pay for this that I didn’t even do! Paying for someone else stuff! The worst bank & customer service ever! Stick with a real bank that helps & cares about their customer! There’s nothing like good ol fashioned face to face! Should of listened to my husband & just stayed with our credit union that we have had for 36 years! Thank God we still have our account there! They would have taken care of it the same day! Plus they know us by first name bases! Ally Bank is the worst bank & worst customer service I have ever received!

This company is the worst

This company is the worst. They give no help and you can’t understand them if you do get a hold of someone. They are scammers and do not update payments made to them and then they make threats. I have requested my contract to be mailed to me bc I’m pretty sure the contract is invalid due to fraud on their part. I’ll be looking to take legal action against this criminal organization. Banks don’t have money to make loans so where does the consideration come from? They use our SS numbers and they get the loan from the federal reserve under our SS numbers. This is illegal. F&!k Ally Financial.

Customer service hung up on me

I paid off 2 vehicles they received the payment within the 10 day payoff time frame but held the check later and so there would be an extra accrual. It was their fault for not processing the payment on time but refused to release the lien until the extra money was paid. They will not take a payment over the phone and you have to go through a 3rd party which is an additional $4. I was not notified of the extra money for them not processing the payment on time. Therefore if I had not called the money would have accrued daily They are a dishonest institution. STAY AWAY! They received the check on the 27th of January but held the check until Feb 3rd.

Harrassment

Ally Financial will harrass you daily,several times a day over 1 payment, when it was their fault the bill was never sent. And then they demand it online or over the phone and blame you for not having online billing. Definitely do not recommend, once we get our car paid off this year we will never use them again.

"When Commission Overshadows Business Protocol"

This Lender paired with the dealership's questionable business practices highlight a concerning scenario: a buyer was able to purchase an $100,000+ truck without ever setting foot in the dealership. All credit information was accepted, processed digitally and pushed through after multiple denials from accredited lenders. Minimal verification done by the dealer and the lender used. The dealership even delivered the vehicle out of state, only to later discover the purchase was made using a stolen identity. As a result, the rightful owner of that identity is now facing significant financial and legal challenges—an ordeal that could have been avoided with stricter protocols, income verfication and thorough due diligence. This situation underscores the consequences of prioritizing commission over ethical business practices and customer protection.

We had a death in the family that resulted in being financially strapped and Ally bank would help us out for 1 week

We had a death in the family that placed us in a financial burden of 25,000.00 and we asked ally if we could get an extension for 1 week as we did not have the money until payday. The lady tells us that we can make a partial payment but that all they can do for us. After explaining our difficulty and the fact that my wife is in the hospital, Ally bank would not assist us in any way but to make a partial payment that we did not have until the following week. Ally bank would take your last dime and let you starve then to help you. Never again Ally Bank !!

Stay away from ally financial, they are scammers.

Do not give any penny to those scammers, they tell you that after 24 hours yiu will receive your payment with no restrictions, after 24 hours, they tell you that inorder to take your money back, you need to buy from them 250$ for a pin 📍 for one time deal, or 500$ for a pin📍for a regular deals. How could I buy a pin for 250$ to save my deposit 50$. Are they out of their minds? They also tell you to hat everybody in the group did that, I told him that you are all liers, all are working together, because these things they supposed to mention at the beginning, but they know that no one would pay them any penny if we knew it before .

Worse company ever to finance a car through. They don’t tell you things until its too late. The customer service support sucks. I hope this company gets sued soon because they are scamming with the late fees and adds on to your vehicle payment

The "customer service" people don't…

The "customer service" people don't understand what you're saying most of the time and if the do, they don't respond to you and they have zero interest in helping you. And they will absolutely not connect you with a supervisor. Also, you'll need to call at least three or four times to get to talk to someone because most of the calls get picked up then immediately hung up. In my top five worst customer experiences ever.

I bought a car with them in 2018

I bought a car with them in Sept 2018. I had a 75 month term for leasing. 76 months later and they are still saying I owe 1 payment. Last month the app said I had 1 payment left. This month it says the same thing. I had never been late with them until recently I had 2 payments that were 2 days late. They are telling me I owe almost a whole car note in late fees. They have horrible customer service. I will NEVER use them again to purchase a vehicle. Do not use them.

I just got my car in July

I just got my car in July, from the time I made my first payment it was a problem, I paid through the app but when I checked my account the money is still there it took them 6 days to try and take my payment but it wasn’t there cause I also have other bills. When I called and tried to talk to someone about it they just told me it could take up to 10 days before they pull funds, 10 days is insane I’ve never heard of that it’s basically as if you shouldn’t spend any money until they feel like getting theirs that’s not right, mind you they sent confirmation numbers and everything as if my payment was complete this continues each month up until yesterday when they repossessed my car now I’m at risk of losing my job and they want me to pay 4 months worth in order to get it back

It’s disappointing that who runs this…

It’s disappointing that who runs this company is out of reach with reality The agents are robotic therefore they don’t comprehend the reason for your call. It took over an hour for a simple question and answer. I requested documentation through the website and she kept verifying my mailing address after numerous times I said please don’t mail me anything she still mailed it 🤪I’m just done!
