Vampires
One star — because here won’t let me give negative infinity.
Welcome, dear reader, to the thrilling nightmare that is Ally Financial Inc. Buckle in, because this tale comes with haunting calls, false promises, and the slow suffocation of sanity — all brought to you by a company that’s apparently powered by chaos and contempt.
Despite being cooperative, honest, and on time with payments, I was treated to a symphony of harassment — 3 to 4 phone calls a day until May 23rd. I told them clearly (and not so kindly by the end) that if they contacted me again, it was going straight to the Better Business Bureau. Guess what happened? They kept going. That was their choice.
I even emailed corporate. Silence. Not a whisper. Not a peep. Just the cold, dead static of indifference. But oh — they had the nerve to send a threatening letter on the very same day I made a $135 payment. First thing in the morning, mind you. That’s not just shady — that’s disrespectful on a whole new dimension. And the rest of the payment? Already scheduled. I keep my promises. Clearly, they don’t.
When I did call, their reps talked to me like I was unintelligent, disposable, and beneath them. I’ve had better conversations with toaster ovens. I warned them I’d take this public if they kept it up. So here we are.
Let this be a cautionary tale. Ally Financial is not your friend. They are not your ally. They are a wolf in a name-tag, smiling while sharpening the knife.
Final thoughts?
Avoid this company like a haunted hotel with bloodstained sheets. They suck like the vampires that they are.
Ally Bank/ Financial is an absolute…
Ally Bank/ Financial is an absolute horrible bank. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Ally was sued by the US Government…
Ally was sued by the US Government because they were charging more interest to Black, Hispanics and Asians compare with whites' with similar score in creditworthiness. I paid my loan in full and they are trying to defraud me by overcharging me more than $3,000.00.
This is a dishonest and fraudulent Bank do not do business with this criminals.
customer service sucks
They will take a payment without your consent
I schedule my payments to come out of my bank account, but it’s not on automatic draft. I just use the same account. I fell behind 2 months payments due to having emergency surgery. But still trying to make payment arrangements to pay my bills. They would not help with deferring a payment. I woke up one morning and without my permission, they went into my account and took out the two months of payment plus the late fees out of my account. I called them to let them know that I never authorize the payment. In my Ally app I have every schedule payment date that I scheduled a payment to be taken out and it would have never been that much. I told them that I never authorize that payment, and that was against the law that they took out money without my permission.. they told me there was nothing that they can do because they already took it and they can’t give it back so call my bank. I called my bank and had it reversed because it made all of my bills bounce. Now I get nothing but nasty horrible customer service. I asked to speak to a supervisor concerning it and I’ve been hung up on every time. I ask who authorize this payment. And they just keep talking in circles like they can’t understand what you’re talking about. I hate the day that I ever signed up for these people. Do not choose Ally.
Avoid Using This Finance Company!!!
Unprofessional, Rude and very hard to understand (Reps are over seas most likely India) customer service representatives. This company is as terrible as Santander!! They’re neck and neck!! One of The Most unprofessional companies I’ve come across. They must pride themselves on hiring the worst representatives ever!! Also, keeping communication with them is pointless. They do not care at all and just want their money!! They do not have any compassion or empathy and do not effectively listen as customer representatives should. You have to repeat things to them several times!! They should have Zero stars!!!
Opening web site/page for my investment account is a crap shoot…
Opening the Ally investment site/page web account is always crap shoot. Everytime I go online it's constantly experiencing issues. I'm lucky if I'm able to make trades before the market drops etc. Even though my experience is terrible, no matter what, they get the outrageous fees charged, so it's never a loss for them. I think they are more interested in DEI than actual customer service. I plan on closing all my accounts with them, and looking for a much better alternative.
Beware of Ally Financial and Car Sales, who try to trap you in Ally car financing
Car Buyers if your Car Salesperson mentions Financing with Ally get up and rush to the nearest exit. Ally will give you a rete of 16 to 31% and a term of 84 months, longer than tour car will last. Once financed Ally will add late fees no matter when you make the payment because they hold all payments for 10 days once received and add at least 1 to 2 percent to your principal balance.($150 to $350) You will have at least 2 or 3 calls from people who can't speak English fluently telling you that you are behind on your payments and you are not. Also, a monthly letter threatening to repo your vehicle. Run don't walk away from Ally and the Car Salesman trying to trap you.
If I could leave a zero
If I could leave a zero, I would! I have had to contact the BBB 3 different times on the same loan. I had to have my number removed from their records because of harassing phone calls. I would get calls up to 5 times a day when I had a commitment on the account. Then I tried to get my payment reduced, they said I didn't qualify. Then I just recently missed my payment by 24 hours and before I could make the payment, my car was repossessed. They do not communicate with each other and don't leave proper notes in their system. I was on hold for 20 minutes to speak to a supervisor and one never came on the line. Don't even send your worst enemy here. It's not worth your time.
This is one of the worst financial…
This is one of the worst financial companies I have ever encountered. Their communication is poor cannot speak very good english. And there's always somebody from another country trying to speak to you. I refinance my car a couple of months back with a different lender. My problem is. That a Ally financial is denying payoff after they acknowledge that they receive 3 checks before the payoff. And cash those three checks but didn't casch the payoff last check furthermore , putting me on the delinquent side of not paying , on my car loan i have never missed a payment. And now my credit has fallen apart because of ally financial.
Left us unable to register our vehicle
They gave us the run around and left us unable to register our vehicle due to a duplicate title they requested from the DMV and never signed which caused us to be unable to drive our vehicle for 3 months. They closed our CFPB complaint before they addressed or fixed a single issue in the complaint. They did not pay us our legally required loss of use fees. Ally is a scam company
There should be a 0 Star option
There should be a 0 Star option. They will never answer your question directly and brush things under the rug hoping you will not do anything about it. They filed a charge off of $0 balance for 3 years then say I owe money. How pathetic. Everyone please file your reports to the CFPB.
DO NOT EVER FINANCE A VEHICLE WITH THEM!
0 stars if I could. They never posted my payoff check, so a month and a half later—after making an extra payment I shouldn't have had to, to prevent it affecting my credit — I’m being told they won’t backdate the payoff like they originally said they would- which I have in writing! I provided all the proof they asked for, including the date the payoff check was sent, even an image of the check, and I have it in writing that they would honor that date. Now they’re refusing and trying to keep my overpayment. Completely unacceptable. DO NOT EVER FINANCE A VEHICLE WITH THEM.
Horrible
Horrible. I would not do any type of business with this company. Completely shady. Held on to my payoff check for over a month while I continued to accumulate more interest instead of processing my check when they got it. Cost me over $400 more. They suck
This is the worst company
This is the worst company. They offer to remove late fees and then deny you. They can't speak english and sound like robots. I am a cosigner for my son who has lost his job and they would not work with me. My credit is trashed. Lesson to learn don't use Allly or cosign!!!!
Worst financial company on the planet takes 10 days to process payments I never missed a payment and I have to wait 10 days to credit my account fk this company the stock is being shorted it will fall
Worst financial company on the planet. Takes
Look out for rip off scams from Ally
I leased a car thru them made all my payments on time and of the amount. I did an extension for 6 months and paid all those on time. I turned in my lease got charged ($100.00 for a flood light ) Which I agreed to pay. They are attempting to collect almost $400.00 on a fee since my new lease (dealership does not use ally ) How am I supposed to control on whom the dealership uses to finance??? I they just charged it off screwing up my good credit score. I will be fighting this all the way.... This is not right !!!!
This company is nothing but a scam
This company is nothing but a scam. Worst customer service possible and can only talk with people in Asia with questionable English capability. Still cannot get logged into my account to make car payment. I do not do checks, do not even have any so cannot mail a check. I can only surmise4 that they do not want a payment on the vehicle but maybe they make more money by repossession, I do not know why they are so difficult to deal with. Scam company, beware!
Data Breach
They gave a stranger access to my bank accounts — full visibility and the ability to transfer my money. I only found out because she contacted me.
When I raised the issue, they pointed fingers at me, blamed her, and are now claiming I’m making it up — even though I’ve provided clear screenshots and evidence.
They refuse to take accountability or fix the problem, so I’m left with no choice but to move all my funds and close the account.
This is a serious breach of trust and security.
