Boring design, Overpriced, Small, Unoriginal

Alpacasews' plush are very small for the very high price tag. I find the designs to be lazy and dull. The Koffee Kitten I preordered leaves much to be desired. I ordered it so long ago I forgot about it. Once it arrived, I was met with severe disappointment.

I ordered the Matcha style. It is ugly, but to be honest, the other styles in the collection are worse. So there's that I guess.

For one, it is so puny. Alpacasews might as well just make figurines. What is the point of a 6 inch, rock-solid plush? DO NOT even get me started on the plush mug. The quality is AWFUL. It is wrinkly and saggy. The design of the top of the mug looks like a dog paw and NOT a cats. I actually saw a dog toy at Petco with a similar design. And you know the dog toy actually looked nicer. So much for originality.

Additionally, the cat's design is lazy. There is no embroidery on the two front paws. I don't know if this was a cost-saving effort or if it was done because no one will see it. Either way it is disappointing for a 6" plush that retails at $37. That is an obscene price for something so small and minimal effort.

I would not recommend this business. I wish I never ordered from here. I will probably have to donate it or sell it for cheap on mercari. Looking at this abomination makes me upset.

Updated information 1/20/25:
I have looked into this company a little bit more after receiving my disappointing order. It appears that it is not only the "Koffee Kittens" line that has a lack of originality, but the entire store. Allow me to elaborate.

On their website, originality is flaunted, however; many of the designs are taken from someone else. The "draco constellation dragon" is a blatant rip off of the celestial dragon by Puff Pals. The colors, embroidery, and overall design are copied. Draco Dragon is not Alpacasews' original design, the whole idea was taken from someone else and slapped onto her ugly dragon body style.

Another instance is this company used to sell/still sells handmade dragons and cows. The business owner sells a "modified" version by the pattern Choly Knight on Etsy, which is fine, but what I found was that she uses these patterns by Choly Knight as a blueprint for the designs she manufactures, which I personally find to be very shady. Alpacasews' cryptid line was most obviously derived from Choly Knight's moth pattern. If you were considering purchasing a handmade dragon for the steep price, I would keep this information in mind.

Additionally, there was a Kickstarter page that launched coffee themed cats. The brand is called Kimchi Kawaii. Their line was launched in 2021, well before Alpacasews' Koffee Kittens. Kimchi Kawaii had dark roast, decaf, matcha, chai. Coincidentally, Alpacasews also had those in her line. Interesting considering match and chai aren't coffee drinks. Must have gotten the idea from Kimchi Kawaii. While this example is not a stolen design per-say, it just highlights Alpacasews' lack of originality.

I wish I could add photos of the examples, but please if you are thinking about ordering from this business, I would reconsider. I wonder how many other designs Alpacasews is ripping off. I just listed the ones I could easily find.

Dragonfruit dragon plush

I ordered a dragonfruit dragon plush and it is very cute and soft. However, it was on the pricier side and I bought it in the preorder kickstarter so it took ages (months) to come (I did start to think it wasn’t going to arrive but it did). I am happy with the overall plush and the quality but can’t afford to be a regular customer. Didn’t have to pay any import fees at the post office which is always a plus.
