NICE AND SMOOTH EXPERIENCE

why so many people write such bad reviews about it?? I had to take the bus from Paris to La Rochelle in May 2026 and everything went smoothly. Actually, never heard of ALSA before, so I checked it. The reviews were so bad. I really recommend it GUYSSSS!!

I can't praise Alsa's staff enough!

I can't praise Alsa's staff enough!, They are an absolute credit not only to Alsa, but to Ibiza itself.
My wife lost her handbag on our last day, 15th May, as she left it on the bus Aero1, bus No 14192.
Their driver and the rep at the terminal, coordinated to reunite my wife with her bag.
I cannot thank them enough!
Not all heroes wear capes!

I had to deal with a terrible driver in…

I had to deal with a terrible driver in Charge of the P2 bus on May 15th 2026 in Ibiza at 2:30 pm. I gave a 10$ euro bill and when giving my change the 5$ euro bill fell on the drivers side and he refused to give it back and called it a tip and we saw him put the 5$ bill in his pocket, not the bus fare bag. Upon arguing for it, he told me I was wrong and I just gave a 5$ and me and my girlfriend can get off if we disagreed. However we know it was a $10 bill because I only had 3 $10 bills in my wallet. Upon a long argument we settled and just went with it but I would hate to see more tourists be ripped off by this driver and request Alas look into this incident and terminate this driver before he continues doing this and driving the reputation of Alas down the train. Driver was tall and had a beard.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Bus 3421 Alva

We booked a trip from Sevilla to Faro specifically because we needed to get to Faro Airport. We were clearly told that the bus would stop at the airport.

However, when we arrived at the Eva station in Faro, we double-checked with the bus driver whether he would continue to Faro Airport. He told us very clearly and confidently that he would NOT be stopping anywhere else in Faro. Based on that information, we got off the bus.

Moments later, another passenger who had also gotten off told us that the bus actually DOES go to the airport. We rushed back to the driver before he left, confronted him about the misinformation, and asked if we could get back on. His response? A flat “no,” claiming he had no time to reload our bags – and then he simply drove off.

This is beyond frustrating. We relied on the driver’s information, which turned out to be completely wrong, and because of that we were forced to pay extra for a Taxi to a destination we had already paid to reach.

This is not just poor service, it’s careless and misleading!

Never again. Avoid Bus Alva if you don’t want unnecessary stress and extra costs

Public Transport to Hippy Market Es Canar Ibiza from Ibiza Town

The Aero4 route on Ibiza island suggests that you can travel to the Hippy Market near Es Canar by catching the bus north of Ibiza Town. When you get there you find no bus stop.... If you wave your arms an Aero4 might stop to let you on. No guarantee. Once you are at Es Canar you might wish to catch the return bus. If you suggest that you wish to be dropped at the location north of Ibiza Town (where you embarked on your outbound journey) you will be told that the bus only stops at Santa Eulalia and then the Airport. (Currently it is saying it stops at encrueament Jesus- that wasn't an option yesterday - though it wouldn't have helped much). One can only assume that this is a 'clever' rouse by Spanish authorities to maximise rinsing tourists. The return journey was 33 Euros via taxi. Be warned!!

Unsafe incident and unreliable service – Line 08

I had a very poor experience with ALSA on Line 08 (El Cotillo to Corralejo).

I arrived at the stop at 15:50 for services scheduled at 16:00 and 16:15. Neither service operated as expected. A bus eventually arrived at around 16:20 displaying Line 08, so I approached to board. The door closed on me, hitting me in the side and pushing me away, which was a genuine safety concern.

The driver then gestured for me to move away without any explanation. The bus remained parked until around 17:00, then changed to Line 7 and left without any information about the Line 08 service.

I was left waiting until approximately 17:15 for the next bus, which also did not clearly stop and required me to call out to the driver.

This reflects poor service reliability, lack of communication, and concerning driver conduct. I have photographic evidence of the bus and timetable.

Checked online about payment

Checked online about payment. It said can buy tickets on the bus using card.Waited for the bus which was 15 minutes late, only to be told on board only cash! Wanted to go from Lan Manga to Cartagena, so not a short distance/price, and there was clearly a card reader on the bus. Very annoying.

Good shuttle experience - terrible customer service experience with lost bag

Pros: the transfer all went smoothly and was absolutely fine for what we paid for. This part of the experience was good.

Cons: This part is our fault but the review is linked to how it was handled. We left a bag on a coach and having called 10 minutes after being dropped off we had to go through the official motions of raising this to head office (on another island and who only had operating hours during the week). The best solution would have been to put us in touch with the front desk we got the coach from or the driver to work out a solution for our luggage. After chasing this for 6 days and with help from our hotel we were left with no further information (made contact daily during this period). We resided to the fact that it was lost and if we could check at the airport then great (the most likely place it would be in our opinion).

On our departure we go to the front desk and lo and behold the bag was there. The lack of proper communication and ability to resolve quite a simple issue even with photo evidence of the bags to make things easier was very poor and is why we have reviewed this as a 3 star.

We would rebook with them but we would 100% make sure we don't leave anything this time!

Never had any issues

Unless there's another Alsa bus company, I don't understand these bad reviews. When we go to Spain and Portugal we always take Alsa and Monbus. Never ever a problem. I would take them anytime based on our experience. Last time we took them was from Sdc to Porto. Prior to that was from Sdc to Finnistere. And other short trips between cities in Spain.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Saw the bad reviews for this joke of a bus company and thought it's okay I travel everywhere by coach I'll be fine. This was not the case, buying the ticket was easy enough was assisted with this but then things started to go wrong. The female member of staff told me to wait on the wrong side. All the departure boards at Valencia are broken and as it was getting close to my departure time I crossed to the other side just in case there was four Alsa busses next to each other and one with nothing on the front. I asked a member of staff there which bus and they told me told go stand and wait for a specific bus so waited to speak to that driver whilst I did that the bus with nothing on the front drove off and the driver I spoke to told me it was the bus with nothing on the front. I was then not allowed to get on the stopping service to the same destination and told to go back up and speak with the guys back by the ticket machines where I was made to pay 5.50 to move my ticket despite the fact it was their staff that told me the wrong bus and made me miss my bus. I am now on a service that takes almost two hours longer and am departing an hour after I was supposed to. Let's see if I even get on that one.

Update managed to get on the later slow bus but we are heavily behind schedule. Experiences like this really make me cherish the companies we have in the UK 10x better than this.

Not organized and Disrespectful driver

I had a payed for two seats and when I get in the bus there is someone also in the same seat as mine which happens and I understand, I tried talking with the driver for help and guide asking where I should seat the driver was super rude and literally started driving the bus with me still standing not caring at all and telling me to go away. This was so disorganized and I don’t recommend booking with them. Never seen anyone act like that before so disrespectful!!!

VERY RUDE DRIVER

Lisbon-Seville night bus. Over 50% passengers were English speakers but the driver could not understand a word in English. We couldn't understand his announcements but somehow got through. Consequently I wasn't sure when I got to my stop and by the time I moved from the back of the bus to the front to confirm with the driver by showing my ticket, he was ready to leave.
That's when all hell broke loose, he was shouting at me despite telling him I don't speak Spanish with my few words in Spanish. To a point it got hilarious as he kept talking and shouting angrily despite knowing I couldn't understand him at all and throwing hands at me. Never felt so humiliated but just kept my cool and ignored his utterances.

Sevilla to Granada bus

Sevilla to Granada bus. Booked for 3 of us (2 adults and child). Seats 42, 43, and 44. You would think these are in a row (with ailse in the middle). 42 is multiple rows in front of 43 and 44 so one of us is separated and the other dealing with child alone. Bus numbering is a shambles and looms to have been number by someone that can't count. If booking for more than 2 people, good luck to you, fingers crossed you are at least near each other...

Close to bizarre experience

Close to bizarre experience when the bus took an alternative route the opposite way when we were gonna go from San Sebastián to Bilbao. The extra route added one hour to the bus ride and was not in any way advertised. Other than that, it was hard to know where to find the busses and what bus to get on. The bus drivers didn’t seem to know which busses they were driving.

I am appalled at the lack of....

I am appalled at the lack of help at the bus station and Alsa in general. The ticket said Bus 1- Asiento 9. Noone could tell me which platform. I literally had to ask 9 different workers before I finally got an answer. Thankfully I was there 22 minutes early. Most of anyone in a uniform didn't care to help. When I booked the ticket, it said wifi and a toilet. I made sure of that. There is no wifi and no toilet. I asked the driver, noone speaks English or wanted to. Not even with my voice translator. Some how I figured out no toilet & no stops until 9am. If I couldn't make it till 9, he said is my problem (by putting his hands in the air, shrugging his shoulders and moving his head at an angle) They stop at 9. Wtf!! Internet 👎No Se. But he pointed to the outlet to charge. Which was in my backpack that they made me store. I couldn't take food or my coffee on the bus. No where does it say that I can't take my backpack. The bus is/was never full. There is noone sitting next to me.

What is this? I paid good money to be treated very poorly. Please help me understand this!

Why no toilet?
Why no internet?
Why take my backpack and suitcase?
Why only a stop every two hours? In the early morning!!
Why are the employees so unwilling to help or even try to communicate willingly?
Why did I pay almost 49€ to be cheated in these ways?

Is this how this normally works?
