Don't really write reviews but thought I had to in this instance.
My wife and I had spent a lot of time and effort on our home renovation, and when creating our strictly-shoes-off, child-free, snug space, we were looking for a rich, luxurious carpet, the kind that felt great to walk on. Friends recommended Alternative Flooring, they've got one of their stair runners that looks great and everyone comments on.
We called them, they were really helpful and knew exactly the sort of room we were trying to create. Having checked on their website it guided us to the right kind of product range and we ordered a sample of Barefoot Bikram Wool Laya, just to check the depth of pile and the colour (even that came wrapped in tissue paper!)
We ordered it through our local stockist and it was laid by the recommended fitter last week.
It has transformed the room - exactly what we wanted. When my mother-in-law walked on it for the first time she ended up lying down on it!!

Alternative Flooring is a go to supplier for my clients homes. Whether that be rugs or wall to wall carpet, I repeatedly return to them. I also have two of their rugs for my own home and find the quality to be exceptional. I’m always recommending to friends and family too.

I recently had a carpet fitted from Alternative Flooring ( Echo-CoRE) and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The carpet feels incredibly soft and comfortable underfoot, and the overall quality is excellent. What really stood out to me is their commitment to sustainability — knowing the carpet can be fully recycled after use makes it a much more responsible choice.
The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. The team were knowledgeable, helpful, and gave great advice to help me choose the right option. The whole experience felt professional and straightforward.
I’m absolutely delighted with the final result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alternative Flooring to anyone looking for a high-quality carpet. I’ll be returning to them when it’s time for the next one.

Spent 1000s on what seemed to be as a high quality product. Post install the carpet has failed completely to live up to expections. The carpet puffs up and fits badly and over just a few weeks has started to discolour. To add insult to injury when a complaint was raised the company ignored me completely.

We ordered an expensive carpet for our stairs from this company through a reputable local retailer. Margo Selby Stripe Frolic-Westbrook. Ordered in January. Should have been delivered and fitted for 3 March 2025.Then told it would be delayed until late April. Then mid May possibly.
We like the carpet and have paid half the cost but have no confidence in this company to deliver their product. Pity as it’s a UK manufacturer. I would never purchase their product again.Apparently their excuses have to do with manufacturing carpets. Their main business!

Really to choose and order carpets because the online ‘brochure’ and staging and art direction of the product is so so atrocious. and uninspiring.
All photographed really poorly in absolutely awful light - in some grotty little room with a lazy mish mash of cheap furniture - it all requires a serious photographic overhaul and some equally serious art direction.
Very off putting to be honest if you are planning on spending thousands of pounds - I think they would double their sales with some half decent marketing and branding.

I recently bought two large rug’s, they were extremely well made and great quality, staff were very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend purchasing from this company. Mr Hall
