The Crucible was a wonderful experience. The staging, acting and technical effects were stunning. Arthur Miller is a wordsmith without equal. But he has to be understood. There is not a wasted word. This company did it justice.

We’ve just been to see The Railway Children at Altrincham Garrick Playhouse with my nieces, aged 7 and 10, and it was absolutely delightful. They loved it – as did I.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. We received a genuinely friendly welcome, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful right through to the cheerful goodbye at the end.
The production itself was beautifully done. The acting was superb and the storytelling was engaging and clear, with all the major plot points present. And of course, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Bobby cried, “Daddy, my daddy!” – it gets me every time.
The theatre was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, making it a pleasure to spend the afternoon there.
A fabulous way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended.
The show was enjoyable and nostalgic. The show had great energy and was fast moving. I loved the set it was well thought out and there was lots to look at. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Great, intimate venue. Excellent facilities and hospitality. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will be sure to check out their upcoming productions.

The play was just too long 3 hours, it was padded out too much, parts repeated so it got a bit boring. It was good story well told and presented but too long.

Great welcome from the front of house team. Lots of leg room and overall a very pleasant theatre.
The show overall was great. Performed by a very - in the main - talented cast. Good lighting and audio, with one exception. One of the cast (Jamie) performed each of his characters and their varied emotions at full volume. Unfortunately, he shouted every line at a very uncomfortable level (you could see the veins sticking out on his neck!).
I know all about projection. But, this was ridiculous, and I'm surprised that the director hasn't asked him to tone it down some, as it's totally opposite to rest of the cast.
I was preparing to leave after the first half. But, changed my mind.
I would go again. But, I'll make sure the he's not in the cast next time :(
An absolutely brilliant night; amazing script, fantastic acting we had the best evening. The theatre is small enough to be intimate, but big enough so it has a great atmosphere. I’d recommend getting tickets to see this play.

What a talented cast are the Garrick Ensemble! The “Quiz” show was complex, amusing, and wonderfully performed with superb lighting and staging.
The Front of House staff were, as usual, helpful and very welcoming.
This theatre is a real community gem.

Panto was great. My husband is panto-sceptical and didn't want to go. Afterwards he said it was fantastic and wants to go next year!

Our 2nd year of Panto at The Garrick and it didn’t disappoint. Lots of fun, laughs, shouting and impromptu moments. Well done to all the team. We’ll be back next year

This was my first pantomime since I first came to England, and I quite enjoyed the balance of your typical Fairytale with adult humor. My favourite character was definitely flirty Gertie with her outlandish customs (my favourite being the one including a hat made of a Scott's Porage Oats box). Now, my least favourite thing would have to be a vilain with black hair. Unless this play is part of a government funded campaign to attract children into the armed forces to fight in the Middle East or to justify and perpetuate racist and xenophobic behaviours in this country against Pakistani people, I think children should be taught that actions, not a particular appearance makes up for good and bad people, and therefore wigs of a less natural colour (like Snot's!) are more appropriate. Black happens to be the most typical hair colour outside of Europe so yes, it can be seen as Eurocentric and racist to portray black haired people as anything else than fellow human beings, and something to ban much like black faces were (thank God for that).

Lovely helpful staff. The theatre is always clean. The only downfall is the ladies toilets could do with being a bit bigger and a few more cubicles.
