Customers also frequently encountered problems with orders, including cancellations without warning and difficulties with refunds for undelivered or incorrect items. The customer service was often described as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to reach, with some feeling their concerns were not adequately addressed. Can't Get my Refund/Resolved

Edit: Resolved after a few days I have posted this review.

I have purchased a few things but decided to return two of them. I attached the labels on the packages as usual and sent them via DHL to the address written on the labels, Bad Hersfeld, as it is supposed to be.

It has been 10 days since the deliveries were successful. DHL site confirms this. But Amazon.de claims that the haven't received the packages or they can not find them. All the emailing with the staff back and forth doesn't help to find any solution or to get a refund.
So what is happening here is that even if you return the goods you have bought without any usage or damage, Amazon.de might not give you refund claiming that they don't have them yet.

I will definitely get advice from a lawyer on this one.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Amazon de

I had a very frustrating and unacceptable experience with Amazon

My order for a MacBook was cancelled three times without a clear or valid explanation.

Shortly after that, my account was suspended, even though I provided all the requested documents proving that the Revolut account used for payment belongs to me.

Despite sending multiple proofs, the issue was never resolved. On top of that, I was unable to access the customer support chat at all, and when I contacted customer service by phone, I was told that they would get back to me with a solution. They never did.

The lack of transparency, poor communication, and complete absence of follow-up caused a lot of wasted time and frustration. Because of this experience, I do not recommend Amazon

In the end, I found the exact same product at the same price on cyberport where the purchase process was straightforward and problem-free. This makes the experience with Amazon even more disappointing

Delivery lead time of 3 months for In stock item

Very poor service, ordered a 48 inch tv in October with initial delivery of one week to Ireland, they then claimed due to delivery to Ireland of large item (not even a large Tv) it would actually now take a month. Its been two months now and they pushed delivery out to the 26th January again when the tv would turn to an outdated model with no guarantee of delivery. I even offered to take a flight to collect the item and was basically told you might as well cx the order by customer services without proper explanation. We now experienced same with very small items in stock being felayed for months (iPad cover) that last year took 3 to 5 days max. Also got a book from amazon.ie for a Christmas present book arrived with white cover dirty with black soot and replacement was the same but also damaged. I also had similar issues as others here on amazon.de couldn't leave a review on the order with Amazon on the tv it looks like they do this intentionally and my son also had the same issue with trying to order the item initially where they blocked his account for no reason so i had to order it from my account. I then paid amazon prime for 2 months for a prime deal which they never intended to send in the first place. I got items before delivered from Amazon de to Ireland without a problem but that was the year before maybe its had logistics, ai utilisation gone wrong or they simply advertise stock as available when they don't have stock.

A taste of the future - A CS-CASE, in which Bezos really shows, what he is aiming for. ... a case, in which THE CUSTOMER CONTINOUSLY HAS BEEN SCAMMED !!!

Customer-Service (CS), being a SCAM ...
- and a lot of negative experiences with fx. shipping without protecting the content.

And, CS's continued empty promises...

And, today I ended up at Trustpilot - to share my frustrations with A.

Another reason is, that A. would not let me include A., in item-reviews - even though the 2 things are connected, when it comes to A.

And, there is A LOT to review, and to warn others about!
- And I can see from the current very bad review-average (1.5-2.0 stars), that I am certainly not alone!

----
Case:
I ordered an expresso-machine (Philips EP5447).
- it was sold as "used - acceptable condition".
- without any info. (issues with it - scratches, etc).

I took the chance - and received the item.
- the mechanical part (grinder-unit) was blocked.
- and there were NO way to get it to work again (for an end-user).
- which equals: "should NEVER have been sent to a customer".
- it was NOT in an "acceptable" condition!

I contacted the multinational warehouse.
..
and amazon initiated their "robotic" standard-procedure: A return-case.
- and I handed the return-package in, to Bring.

And - in parallel with this,
- A. made a deal with this dissatisfied customer: I could buy a new, and A. would pay the difference.

Sounds okay, right?
.. well, here the actual story starts!:

----
How good, A. is at annoying a customer:

1) I was told, that I needed to wait for the return to be fully-processed ... which each CS-person and email interprets as different (anything from "when we receive the item" and to 30 business days! (i.e. 6 weeks), and even more !!!

which is just NOT OKAY, Since this is a 100% clear mistake from A's side! .. (they FAILED TO CHECK the item, before sending it - and it was kaput!).
..
and, I have received a lot of "I fully understand" - but, Nothing Else Than That...

2) I WILL NOT RECOMMEND anybody buying stuff, from A.
- in this case, an expresso-machine, with a lot of mechanics ...
- because A. just puts a label on the box/xx, and then dispatches it - 100% UNprotected!

which, depending on the level of "rough shipping-handling", results in various degrees of compromised/ruined package & contents!

3) In the case of the Philips-machines, then these have got a built-in fault.
- IF the electricity is shut-off, during operation (at least at certain points in the process) - then the grinder-unit is in a "stuck" position!

and, the machine can NOT itself get out of this "position" ... there is NO "move back to default-position" built-into the software, step-engine, or sensors...

----
But - the main thing here, is a multinational trade-overtaking construction - which already now, begins to "have it's own life"!

And, I can only imagine this getting to be much worse - once Bezos can get AI and robots to overtake close to ALL of the processes !!

Buying in local shops or webshops - equals getting what one wants, THE FIRST TIME !!!
- and, usually one gets more than what one expect, when buying outlet/returned/demo-products.
..
In deep deep constrast to A.:

4) A very unprofessional way to handle and sell "Used" items:

Nearly every time, I have taken the chance, and have bought "used" items at A.:
- well I have been disappointed!
- parts are missing, things do not work,
- fx. A) Headphones without ear-cuffins, B) Blocked espresso-machine, C) TRV without adapters.

5) Careless packaging:

Approx. half of the items, I have received, have not been protected.
=> in several cases, the content was somewhat/fully damaged.

with A's standard-solution:
- full refund.
- sometimes even without returning the item (forwarded by CS, as "an exception").

------------------------
CONCLUSION :

I fear, what will happen - IF we let Amazon "take over" much more trade!

Because, already now, I see how Bezos are undermining our normal trade - the local (web)shops, our customer-rights, authencity & customer-service.

One right, that we already have lost at A., is "that the warranty follows the product, and NOT the customer".
(at A., all warranty is lost, once we sell an item to another person).

And, the robot-thing, is really scary.
In this big business, Bezos has got the money to automate all processes .. he has already gone quite far.
..
and, without work in the future - and with all local shops overrun, then workers will end-up as homeless!

Plus:
I did find out, in a smart way - that there are CS-"centrals" in fx. India, Pakistan & Egypt..
- which provides cheap labour.
- has fx. no logistic-understanding.
- And more CS'employees have told, how little they are paid, by "Mr Grinch"!

---
And, CS-employees now again-and-again tell me, that they are blocked (by Bezos) from aiding the customer ...

All-in-All, I can only warn!

I do NOT want this to become even worse !!

Amazon in this case, really shows how dangerous 1 oligarch can become - and already have become!

Сustomer service doesn't exist at all

Used to order some goods.
Usually everything went well.

In 2025, orders started being automatically canceled, and then the account was blocked entirely.

They requested documents that don't exist. The bank doesn't issue such documents.

The chat form doesn't work.
The call form doesn't list many countries, so you can't request a call.
The email form sends an email, but no response is received.

In other words, there's no way to resolve the issue, meaning the customer service doesn't exist at all.

Amazon colludes with fraudsters

Once Amazon has a valid direct debit authorization, it will continue to use this authorization indefinitely, even for fraudulent new customer accounts with the same name.

The following has occurred: as the managing director of a company, you set up a direct debit authorization for the company's bank account in your private Amazon account. A fraudster uses publicly available data to determine the name of the managing director, the company address, and the company account, and then uses this data to create a new fake account with Amazon and place an order. Amazon then withdraws the money from the company account without further verification—Amazon does not verify the identity of the person placing the order.

If the aggrieved company then recovers the money from Amazon, Amazon's next step is to use a service provider to determine the private address of the named managing director. Amazon then sends the claim for the fraudulent orders to this person. It makes no difference whether you write to Amazon, call them, or send a copy of the criminal complaint, etc. You will never receive a reply or feedback from them. Despite all your letters, the next step is to receive a reminder letter from Amazon's collection agency Riverty. You will never receive a reply to your letters from Riverty either, and no one can be reached there by phone.

Sometimes, this nightmare only ends after a lawyer gets involved—but even then, there is no explanation. Riverty and Amazon simply fall silent, and there are no further collection demands.

All in all, Amazon is therefore aiding and abetting fraud: it fails to carry out effective identity checks, and communication to clarify fraudulent circumstances is not possible. Those who do not have the means to seek legal assistance will receive a visit from the bailiff. Those who are unable to provide clear documentation are likely to lose in court and end up with a ruined credit rating.

Conclusion: anyone who enters into business contact with Amazon risks their livelihood at any time. It can happen to anyone out of the blue. There is also no one who wants to effectively enforce claims for damages against Amazon. Lawyers regularly refuse to take Amazon to court in matters of compensation for financial losses because the chances of success are immeasurable.

Amazon therefore operates completely in a legal vacuum, which ultimately has exactly the same effect as if Amazon were colluding with fraudsters for its own benefit. This opinion is now supported by legal protection insurers, as they are confronted with an unmanageable number of similar cases.

One wonders what else needs to happen before legislators finally introduce effective consumer protection—for example, in the form of very sensitive, bureaucracy-free compensation regulations, as are already commonplace and completely unproblematic for tour operators, airlines, etc.

In terms of security

In terms of security, one of the worst websites I've ever experienced, because the level of scrutiny just makes impossible to access my account. I had several issues with this throughout my experience with Amazon, and now that I changed my phone number and am trying to access from my new work laptop, it just doenst work! Give me a break, Amazon, jesus christ, you are supposed to make our lifes easier. At least make an easily accessible customer services. No wonder why your evaluation is so bad in this Trustpilot.

Amazon don't respect its customers

Amazon rejected 3 orders in a row the same product i ordered. Every time they promised that "next time" this will be delivered and proposed to order it again. Be careful! you may stay without the stuff you expect to have in the agreed date!

I am done the Amazon

I was a loyal customer and I ordered many times.

Last order I was charged extra fees because of a coding error to my order.
I was promised those fees will be returned to me.
After talking to 10 customer service reps such as Mateja, “floor manager” Amaan the useless, Cassie, Mika, Sheldon and countless others I realized my fees will not be returned to me and I was forced to cancel the payment and cancel my credit card.
Fake names for fake support.

Now I need to buy those items from somewhere else and pay the full price.

I am done with Amazon, there are better services out there which are not conning you, save your time and money.

I ordered an SSD urgently for work and…

I ordered an SSD urgently for work and Amazon guaranteed a delivery date, which was then missed without any update. During multiple chats with customer service, I received completely conflicting information — one agent told me the product was already shipped and would arrive that same day, the next day another agent told me it was not shipped at all.

Because the delay caused a risk of missing an important deadline, I considered canceling the order. But an Amazon representative promised me a 50% refund after delivery to compensate for the delay and the misinformation — so based on that promise, I continued with the order.

The item finally arrived, but much too late to be useful, and when I contacted Amazon again, they refused to provide the promised discount, claiming they cannot do anything.

This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. If Amazon promises compensation in writing, they should honor it.
Customers should be able to trust the information they receive

My order was cancelled after several minutes from the purchases without a clear explanation "unusual order". They steal your money and blame you for their incompetence

I bought an item that I pretty soon realized I don't need. I tried to cancel it - Amazon didn't let me. When the courier came, he refused to let me refuse the handover of the package. I returned it within 30 minutes of when it was bought and now it's been 15 days with no refund, they lost the package and told me that I have to wait for 30 days, and sometimes more for the option of refund to show.

They already did this once this year and it cost me 600€. Amazon has become the most unreliable company in Germany, and I will not be using them ever again. This time it's "only" 122€, but it's my money that I worked for.

Also, their customer agents can barely speak English (and German for that matter - ??) and speak exclusively in customer service phrases - so we're already in the era of having bot-like service.
