I m really surprised about alll the bad reviews coming esp from Denmark. Maybe it s a local problem, but here in Munich/Germany I was mostly very satisfied with Amazon Germany customer service and delivery. Parcels never vanished the last 20 years for me. What i did notice the last 1 or 2 years though is that they always state a VERY long delivery date when i order, and then suddenly it changes and the goods came much earlier than had been announced immediately upon order placement. And I have a feeling goods are more out of stock than previously, often small orders of 4 to 6 items get sent in 2 parcels on 2 different dates.
Service over the phone and chatbot was always without any problems and got a fast solution always.
I m a bit annoyed they increased the minimum order for free delivery to 49 Euros, it used to be 39 Euros, and earier even just 29 Euros.
All in all, my experience with locall amazon.de would be 4 to 5 stars.
Utterly disgusting service
Be careful even of Amazon today because they are using questionable couriers to deliver their goods. Their service has gone downhill. They don't take accountability for their actions and even though you pay everything up front, including taxes, AND express shipping. they still have no idea of the contact details of the couriers they're using. This one in particular, SF EXPRESS, is a complete disgrace. The goods, according to the tracking details, have been in the country for a week and still not delivered. To add insult to injury, now they are expecting me to pay customs dues which I don't even know WHERE to pay. I think I've been in contact with their customer 'service', based in India of course, more than 7 times over the past 3 days, only for my query to be dismissed over and over. Utterly disgusting.

Ordered items for Euro 150,- and was told delivery would be after 3 days. Wrote to Amazon.de a week after, when I found out (via their website) that the items would not be delivered and asked for my money back. Still haven't heard any positive response back from them now 20 days after promised delivery.
I will now stop shopping there and will advise others to also keep away, since they take the money and don't deliver or refund.

Amazon advertised three items, delivered one. After several emails and explaining — repeatedly — that two items were missing, they sent only one more. Unbelievable.
I complained again. Their “solution”? A refund plus a €20 voucher to make up for their mistake. Fine, I thought — at least they’re owning it.
But no. When I tried to use the €20 voucher, Amazon demanded that I upload my passport and personal data to “prevent money laundering.” For a €20 voucher! What a joke.
This is Amazon’s fault, Amazon’s mess, and their “solution” only adds insult to injury.
Arrogant, incompetent, and completely disconnected from what customer service should be.
Never again.

I was always happy with Amazon DE, for many years!!! But since they switched from DHL to Dragonfly ALL my packages end up being lost. It simply makes no sense anymore to order with Amazon DE, because packages do not arrive anymore. Please stop using Dragonfly!

I placed and paid for an order on Amazon.de, but the seller refused to ship the product unless I paid an additional fee. This is already unacceptable, but what makes it worse is that Amazon.de offers absolutely no functioning customer service.
Their website claims to provide chat support, phone support, and feedback options — none of these work. The chatbot does not appear, the contact buttons lead nowhere, and the phone number provided is not in service. There is no real way to reach a human representative, even though Amazon profits from hosting third-party sellers on their platform.
By refusing to provide working customer support and by allowing sellers to act in this way, Amazon.de is directly enabling fraudulent behavior on its platform. This is not a minor issue but a serious lack of responsibility.
I strongly warn others to be extremely careful when using Amazon.de. If something goes wrong, there is effectively no support available.

Horrible is an understatement! I have never ever had problems with Amazon.com, and this is after close to 300 purchases, but these Europeans are a perfect example why I left Europe. This being the first time I use Amacon.de, I have been waiting now for a vacuum-cleaner to be shipped for over 3 months. First they argued it was out of stock (WHICH IS A LIE), as I can see they are selling them continuously, as well, I am able to see exactly many they have left i stock. So eventually after being in touch with costumer service 4 times I finally reached a representative that seemed professional, who promised me that the vacuum-cleaner would be sent within 72 hours. Still nothing is happening. Curiously, now when I try to contact costumer service I am blocked 😡😡😡😡😡 I will close my account and ask for a refund. Horrible is indeed an understatement!

In the light of raising competition from Temu and AliExpress Amazon is asking 89€ for prime subscription, delaying delivery of items when you are not prime user and makes problems with returns despite of a law defined return time window. Sorry Amazon that's not a way to go!!!

Today I have been lied to time after time.
They failed to deliver an order
They failed to deliver an order, and even after a month and around a dozen of customer support contacts (and failed attempts), they had not yet cancelled my order and issued a refund.
Customer support kept promising to solve the issue in less than 1 week, but it was never solved. Only one agent tried to escalate the issue, but the chat session expired due to inactivity and I lost contact with that support agent.
For the first and only time in my life, I had to ask my bank to refund the payment.
Never ever AMAZON again.
Yesterday, I tried to contact Amazon customer service because I hadn't received an order and had properly canceled it after the waiting period had expired. During the cancellation process, I received a message saying they would inform me by email when I would get my money back. That was over a week ago, but no email arrived. So I wanted to contact customer service about it. I had to struggle with chatbots and AI for almost an hour; there's no way to reach customer service directly. Until I found the solution: You have to answer the question "Do you need more help?" with YES. ALWAYS, no matter what the stupid chatbot or AI asks. Keep answering this question with YES until you finally get the message "I'm connecting to an agent," and then you finally have a live person on the other end of the chat.
In my case, the lady was very polite and manually refunded my money. If I had continued waiting for an email that never arrived, I would never have seen my money again, and if I had never thought of constantly clicking the "Need more help?" button, I would never have gotten out of this chatbot AI mill, let alone received a refund.
My conclusion: It's an outrageous disgrace on Amazon's part that there's no direct way to get put on a waiting list that connects you to a human being. There's absolutely no way to do that, and I blame AMAZON for that. From now on, I will absolutely never order anything from Amazon, something I've done for 20 years. I don't want to have anything to do with such "business models" where figuring out how to get your money back is purely a matter of luck. The only reason chatbots and AI are used is to prevent customers from ever seeing their money again, nothing more.
Not with me, that's it AMAZON, one less regular customer and I warn everyone not to order anything from Amazon, precisely for the reasons I've listed here.

I spent several days researching and carefully selecting compatible components to build a PC. After placing my order on Amazon, my purchase was immediately cancelled, and I was asked to upload my ID for verification. I complied and received a message stating the verification would take 1–3 days.
Since some of the items I wanted were running out of stock and their prices were changing quickly, I called customer service to ask if they could hold the products for me until the verification was completed. I was told this was not possible, but that the verification would be completed within a day.
After more than 24 hours passed without any update, I contacted customer service via chat. I was told I would receive a response within 6–12 hours, but no one got back to me. Meanwhile, some of the components I needed went out of stock and others increased in price.
This was a very frustrating experience. I had spent a lot of time making sure all 7–8 parts I needed were compatible, and now all that effort has been wasted. I will need to start over with another vendor.
This was not my first purchase from Amazon, but it has left me very disappointed. Because of this negative experience, I am no longer considering Amazon for my larger purchases.
