Would not recommend, 0/10.

So me and two other friends from the ages of 20-25 went to enjoy 2 games of bowling, the first thing I noticed was that they were considerably under staffed. There were 3 of them to cover the alleys, bar area, arcade, toilets and amusement area. Terribly unfortunate for them. But anyway, as we were bowling our lane broke down and glitched multiple times so the staff kindly moved us to the next lane and that started breaking down. For example, it was laying down 9 pins….in a 10 pin bowling alley. You’d think that they’d look after their biggest draw in. The fun doesn’t stop there though, as we finished with our bowling games, we moved to the pool table, the first pool table we played didn’t have the right amount of balls and had two white balls. We then moved to another table which didn’t give you back the white ball after you potted it. So we annoyingly had to keep getting the overly worked employee to keep opening the pool table for us. After the third time we just cut our loses. The area was dirty and sticky and there were empty glasses everywhere but that’s fault to the staffing problem because there weren’t enough of them to cover everything. And to add salt to the wound one of the members of staff dropped a glass and a shard of said glass hit my friend in the shoulder and was laying on the pool table which was unknown to me so as I was sliding the balls into the table I slide my hand over the glass and it got stuck in my hand. So the only reason I I gave this 2 stars is because we had a good time but I am unpleased with everything, especially with how much it costs. Would not recommend. 2/10.

Update:
23/10/2022

Just had an email exchange after finding out I’m being charged charged for 2 phone calls I made. The first phone call I made was to the number the customer service team told me to call after receiving a complementary free game but I was charged for that and on the Saturday a day after or game which again they told me to call to give them more detail. So after I found this out from my phone provider, I emailed them telling them how appalled I was by being charged for these said phone calls, they responded in so many words saying “can’t really help you, you called the numbers” so I would not recommend any of the Hollywood Bowls places. Go to Chichester instead it’s cheaper and is way better in every way. Would give no stars if that was an option, 0/10 would recommend to my worst enemy.
