So very upset. I've been paying my subs for many years BUT im very upset that I can't see my tree when I try to look. This has gone on for a few years now and after phone calls to ancestry it has never been corrected.

Great... subscription for 'all UK records' which only allows access to birth and marriage registers. What a scam. And now there's a glitch where I cannot crop any photo - it turns it into a pixel! They're needlessly updating the appearance of tags instead of making their website functional.

II purchased a GIFT membership for my husband last Christmas and then followed this up with a DNA gift for his birthday. Not the cheapest of gifts but it absolutely fascinated him. HOWEVER....
I was charged a further £49.99 on 30th March and again, on 27th June but have no record of authorising or signing up for an automatic renewal. I have raised the issue twice with Ancestry and had complete radio silence - no response or acknowledgement. Suffice to say membership has been cancelled but BE AWARE that there appears to be a sneaky automatic renewal.

Aoife made sorting out a delivery mishap a highlight of our day! She was so helpful and supportive and most of all, a delight to talk to. Thank you so much.

I decided today I was going to get this resolved once and for all, and luckily for me my call was picked up by Sinead. My first sensible phone call in 8 months with someone who knew what she was talking about and prepared to work with me to identify the problem - she agreed what I said had been happening (my old card stuck in the system) was happening hence the declines every single month since January. Still some way to go to work out why this is happening but I now know the narratives to whats happening, and it is for others to sort.
After three 1 stars in a row I am happy to reverse that to first five star customer service. Ancestry needs more "Sineads".

I love Ancestry it has helped me trace my Ancestors. It has good records & easy to follow instructions.

I first used ‘Ancestry’ about 4 or 5 years ago but gave up as it was too difficult and very time consuming to trace relatives beyond those known. Now with AI integration it is significantly easier with potential relatives identified and multiple ‘Hints’ that link to archive materials that help you cross reference and check the reliability and validity when adding new members to the family tree; I was able to go back to the 1600s with relative ease!

When I saw the CHAT I thought this is going nowhere, but I typed a lenghty question and was not holding out for much help, but can you believe answered in two sections and both answers helped me solve my problem. Impressed

You can find lots of exciting dicoveries about your past ancestors.
They have lots of records and cover a long time period. A lot of information can be gleaned. Down side is the more you pay to join puts you on a higher level of available data. But for all that cost you have to pay extra for newspaper reports and military records.
