On Sept. 5th 2023 I received a message from Anes informing me that the itinerary from Glossa to Mantoudi had been canceled. Since then I tried many times to contact them,via phone or email but they never responded. Therefore, I cannot get my money (87euros) back. Shame on ANES.

Avoid at any cost this company.
We had the same experience as the last reviews, canceling the ferry from Glossa to Skiathos and Skithos to Skopelos in August 2023.

Many things happened with those guys... don't know how to start.

We booked tickets online 6 months in advance (family with children) for Glossa - Skiathos - Skopelos.
We arrived in Glossa and stayed overnight to take the ferry the next day morning from Glossa port. Suprise next day morning we were told that this was canceled without any prenotification and that they would transfer us to a different company for the next day. Imagine this...family with children needs to find a place to sleep overnight in August when is full season.
On top, That means paying an extra night in Glossa + one day paid already and lost for accommodation in Skiathos.

The same happened with our tickets for Skiathos - Skopelos. Ferry canceled.

We tried to discuss this with someone from Management but this was impossible. On top, we find out that they had many similar problems, canceling many trips.
I emailed them and finally, someone with name Anna Anes Sym said that they will refund the amount for the extra night in Glossa and I need to send the receipts.
I did this but nothing happened since then. I emailed back many times but no one replied since that moment.

Highly recommend choosing any other company there. You will save a lot of stress, time, and money.

We had exactly the same experience as the last reviewer re cancelled ferry glossa to mantoudi on 16th September. ANES didn’t even apologize kr give a reason for this last minute cancellation left us totally in the lurch very stressful and expensive rearranging alternative and our holiday was spoilt . They are not responding to my e mails . Terrible company thank you ANES!!!

Be very wary of this company.

We booked ANES ferries from Glossa (Skopelos) to Mantoudi (Evia) on 16th Sept 2023. On 12th Sept the texted that the ferry was cancelled. With tickets for a connecting bus service I searched only to find there is no other way to get from Glossa to Mantoudi.

I found the ANES agents office in Skopelos Town. There I was informed this had been happening all summer long on both this route and the route from Skopelos to Volos.

With an international flight to catch we booked internal flights from Skiathos to Athens which put us out of pocket by €400, plus all the hassle this caused.

I will be persuing them for compensation.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone to think carefully about relying on ANES ferries.

This ferry company is catastrophic. I can only advice not to book it. They spoiled a lot of time of my holidays, because i had to reorganize again and again and in the end i payed double for hotels and ferrys as they were not able to provide a single one of the booked ferry rides. I did not even get a message when the returning ferry was canceled and only get to know about it by accident. If i had not ask in the port office for the tickets two days before departure i would have also missed my flight...I did all rides by flying dolphins then because they never kept their promises.I dont know yet if i will get refund for all the canceled rides and i would suggest they also refund my double hotel room costs on my last night, as i had to leave for Skiathos one night earlier to catch the flight. The lost time and all the hassl and annoyance it brought to our holiday are not to win back and i will therefore never do any booking with anez ferrys. Just horrible.
I would suggest to get together and take a laywer to make them pay refunds. As it seems a lot of people have made the same experience this year. Also the person in the office was just rolling eyes and said they cant do anything about it, but they deal with complaints like this whole summer...

We booked a crossing between Skiathos and Skopelos - one was cancelled and the return ferry just never turned up, we nearly missed our flight home. Asked for a refund 3 times, never received any reply and it's impossible to reach the company by phone. Please avoid

I don't know what has happened this year, we have used ANES ferries between Skiathos and Skopelos on many occasions before with no problems. We bought tickets for a crossing on Proteus in the middle of June. On arrival in Skiathos we discovered there was no ferry forcing us to travel by (much more expensive) water taxi instead. No advanced warning was given. It was the same for our return journey but this time we were prepared and able to buy tickets for an alternative ferry. On return back to England we requested a refund by email, twice. We haven't heard a single thing and still, 2 months later, have not received a refund. Simple app tracking of ships tells us that Proteus had not been near Skiathos leading up to the time we were booked to travel on it, so it wasn't a last minute problem with a ship, we were simply sold tickets for a service that never existed and have been totally ignored when we requested a refund.

Do not use. Avoid at all costs if you have travel plans that don't fit in with them.

They cancelled and rescheduled our ferry time from Volos to Skopelos and then again from Volos to Skiathos during our recent holiday without ensuring we received an email or text in good time. Because of their incompetence, we missed the first ferry depsite travelling for 2 hours to get to the port and then had to wait another day (and had to pay for another hotel) and forfeit the hotel we had already paid for

We were originally travelling with their Proteas fleet but we were moved on to Seajets just to be clear.

This was 7 days ago and they STILL haven't acknowledged our complaint or compensated us for the extra night we had to stay even after speaking to their legal department who said they would. There has been no communication at all. Absolutely appalling service.

The second time from Skiathos to Volos, we rang 48 hours before just in case the ferry going back was also cancelled after our first experience. Just as well we did as it was cancelled but they couldn't tell us what ferry we had been moved to until 24 hours before.

Thankfully we didn't have a flight to catch from Volos as if we did we would have missed that too but what about all our other planned activities as a family?

Due to this awful experience, Anes Ferries made us lose one and a half days of our holiday to Greece, specifically a day on an island we had planned PLUS an extra hotel cost on 27th July.

It is as if Anes Ferries have no regard for anyone else's plans and are just doing what they feel is best for them, without any explanation and expecting holiday makers to just fit in.

We also wonder if they actually have any Proteas boats at all!

Avoid at all costs and book direct with Seajets. You'll be very disappointed if you don't.

And Anes Ferries, we expect a response, compensation for both our hotel costs on 27th July and compensation for ruining parts of our holiday caused by your total incompetence

The crew here is impolite and the ship isn't good

Today 15 of July 2021 we had tickets for Aigina from Pireaus.

The ship never came !!! It supposed to be Agios Nektarios. I know it is a trashy old ship.

Nobody warned us, no body was answering the phone.

We changed the tickets for another one's for 2 hours delay.

I have used Anes ferries many times on trips around the Sporades - they are reliable (often the boats run late, but that is usually the way with Greek ferries and they always turn up eventually), have good prices compared to their competitors and their boats have a lot of character and are comfortable despite their age.
