I was in a terrible fix

I was in a terrible fix. I had just sold my french house but not completed on my purchase in UK. I had no understanding of the process. My french Notaire had given me an Attestation but it did not say how much I had paid for my house. I contacted him but just got the same thing sent. I was beside myself with worry and I was exhausted, stressed, frightened. I contacted Anglo French Law thinking that I might have to change solicitors but they contacted me and saide they would contact the Notaire and sort it for me. Well they did! How much did they charge me? Nothing! What a wonderful company in this dog eat dog world. I recommend them without reservation.

I spoke at length to Marcel at Anglo French Law who gave me a full explanation of what is possible to include in a Will to ensure that my wife would inherit my half of the property under French Law in the event of my death. Marcel was clear, concise and supportive. If you need help in this way give them a call - recommended.

French estate and UK probate

After some research I chose Anglo French Law as, in my opinion, they offered the best combination of expertise and experience relevant to my requirements.
Both Marcel and Natercia dealt with the settlement of my late father's French estate and the resolution of UK probate in the most efficient and professional manner. Their friendly advice and guidance helped to achieve a very satisfactory outcome.
I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending this firm for any matters where UK and Napoleonic law cross borders.

I couldn't ask for a better service.

I couldn't ask for a better service.
My case was very complexed.
I had a house in France, owned by my ex-husband and myself and we had joint French bank accounts.
Going through a dreadful, delayed divorce and having to go by the Ancillary Relief Court Order in the UK, the house in France had to be sold ASAP with all its contents to be shared amongst us.
Anglo French law removed all my worries and stress away from me.
Firstly, they were very reasonable, setting a fixed price with no added extras I wasn't aware of!
Then, Bilingual. They where able to speak, email to the Estate Agent in France and the Mairie directly.
To add, they're french solicitors, so they where able to speak with the Mairie and liaise with my solicitor back in the UK, to deal with all the legal papers in france, the taxes and so on.
My solicitor in the UK was very impressed with their service also.

My advice to you is to book them. They are down to earth, respectful and are dedicated to their work. They spoke to me with clarity, never spoke down to me if I didn't understand and always made me feel that I was in control of the situation. They listened to me and was generally interested about what I had to say which many law firms tend to dictate, talk over you or pass your case over to a junior and charge huge amounts of money.
