Faulty design - won't finish job or fix problems

Major Issues:

1. Critical design flaw: Anvil designed a kitchen where my refrigerator door can’t open fully—it hits the oven door handle. They had the exact model number of the fridge before construction began and sold me the oven themselves. Their “solution”? Blame me. They repeatedly asked why I didn’t buy a fridge that fit—despite having approved the model during design.
2. Installation damage, lazy repairs: Countertop installers (subcontracted) damaged cabinets under my bay window and agreed to pay for repairs. Anvil “repaired” it by gluing a piece of wood to the front. It looks terrible and reduces toe space. They refused to address it further unless I dropped the oven issue.
3. Poor workmanship covered up, then held hostage: Cabinet paint was damaged during hood vent installation. They arranged for a painter to fix it—but the job was botched. I notified Anvil. Instead of making it right, they canceled the second repair and said nothing more would be done until I gave up on the refrigerator/oven problem.
4. Ineffective, lazy solutions: They claimed moving the oven would help and did it without my consent—by simply gluing another spacer next to the existing one. It didn’t fix the issue and now looks sloppy and unprofessional.
5. Broken promises: After I suggested several solutions, they finally agreed to replace the oven with a two-door model and asked if that would resolve my concerns. I said yes—if it actually worked. They never followed up. Nothing was done.
6. Admitted mistake, no fix: They installed a tall spice rack where a cutting board pullout should have gone. They admitted the mistake but refused to fix it without concessions on the oven issue.
7. Unfinished work: A corner cabinet pullout I provided was never installed—again, they’re holding this hostage over the unresolved oven situation.
8. Final adjustments ignored: Basic finish work—alignment, spacing, etc.—was never completed. My designer assured me this is standard practice at the end of a project. Anvil won’t do it unless I give up my right to dispute the kitchen’s flawed design.

Despite countless emails, calls, and visits, they refuse to speak to me directly. Their lawyer even threatened to sue me if I left a negative review. That’s how they operate: silence and intimidate the customer rather than take responsibility.

Bottom line: Anvil designed and built a kitchen that doesn’t function as intended. They’ve made excuse after excuse, dodged accountability, left work incomplete, and tried to bully me into silence. This is not just poor service—it’s active negligence.
