I mistakenly booked a full week at the wrong mid-stay carpark and had to hastily leave same day, but thanks to APCOA and Samantha B received a full refund.

My experience with these donkeys APCOA and the debt collection companies they have instructed (Debt Recovery Plus, Ampira and Trace) has been extremely disappointing.
I am a private hire driver, so I fully understand airport rules and my responsibilities. I would also like to emphasise that this was not an isolated incident. I made multiple genuine attempts to pay the Manchester Airport drop-off charge, but each time the online payment system displayed the message, "The authorisation request has been declined." To investigate the issue, I contacted APCOA and also spoke to my bank. My bank confirmed that there was no problem with my account, that I had sufficient funds available at the time, and that the declined payments were not caused by my bank.
Because I experienced this problem on several occasions, I became reluctant to accept jobs to Manchester Airport as I was concerned that I would continue to encounter the same payment issue and risk receiving further Parking Charge Notices despite my genuine attempts to pay.
To ensure this cannot happen again, I have now registered an account with APCOA's online payment system. This demonstrates my commitment to complying with the drop-off charge requirements and taking proactive steps to prevent any similar issues in the future. I respectfully ask that you take these circumstances into account when considering my appeal.Despite explaining my circumstances and submitting an appeal to APCOA, my appeal was rejected without what I believe was proper consideration. I feel that the amount they are demanding is unfair and disproportionate.
This matter has now been ongoing for around eight months. During that time, I have exchanged numerous emails and letters in an attempt to resolve the issue reasonably, but I have made very little progress. I have now escalated my complaint to POPLA and am waiting for their decision.
I also repeatedly informed Debt Recovery Plus, Ampira and Trace that I would not deal with debt collectors and asked them several times to stop contacting me and return the case to APCOA so I could deal directly with the parking operator. Despite making my position clear, the situation has continued to cause unnecessary stress and frustration.
My advice to anyone receiving debt collection letters is not to panic. Standard letters demanding £170 or even £340 and asking for payment within a short period, while warning of possible legal action, can be intimidating. Take the time to understand your rights, seek independent advice if needed, and respond appropriately rather than acting out of fear. If you believe you've been treated unfairly or that a company's practices may be misleading or unfair, you can also consider raising your concerns with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
Based on my experience, I found the entire process to be unfair, time-consuming and lacking meaningful communication. I would encourage anyone dealing with these companies to keep copies of all correspondence, stand your ground if you genuinely believe you are in the right, and make full use of the independent appeals process.
This review reflects my personal experience and opinions.
This version conveys your concerns strongly while avoiding categorical claims such as "these parking companies are bending the law," which could be difficult to substantiate. Instead, it encourages readers to know their rights and, if they have concerns, report them to the CMA.

Paul was very helpful and I am happy with the the outcome. I don’t think the app is amazing but Paul was able to help instead so I would use this car park again.

I forgot to pay the £7 Heathrow drop-off charge within the required time limit. When I later went online to make the payment, I accidentally paid for a new drop-off instead, as the original charge was no longer available.
I contacted customer services to explain what had happened, and I was pleasantly surprised by their response. They refunded the incorrect payment and reduced the late payment charge back to the original £7 fee.
I honestly didn't expect such a fair and understanding outcome from a parking company. Their customer service team was helpful, reasonable, and resolved the issue quickly. A great example of putting customers first. Thank you!

This is my first time to appeal for a refund for a penalty fine I know I did not knowingly acted on. Thank you to the people of APCOA whom I would like to thank.
First person was the gentleman who advised me to pay the penalty of £7 before it escalated to the full £100+ fine then gave me the Link to write an appeal.
Stephanie and Hannie who were professional in their proactive response to my appeal. God Bless you all. Grateful thank you.

The parking experience was not good due to lack of clear payment instructions when parking an EV during a 30min drop-off. What was meant to be £1 cost me £21.50. I left the car park overcharged, disappointed and stressed. This process and how it is communicated should be improved.
However, the customer support agent from APCOA Parking UK was very helpful in sorting it out. Thanks Samantha B for your prompt resolution.

After our flight home was cancelled we arrived to pick up our car a day late from the car park where we were met with an additional charge of £225 due to my cars registration info being taken down wrong due to a technological error. Paul was incredibly helpful in helping us get our money back, stress free and straightforward. Emails back and forth were consistent and quick which is just what you need when you are dealing with the chaos of a cancelled flight.
Thank you for the help!

What a shambolic and scam company. They are the judas’s , Simon the tax collector and satanic gleaners of the world, making money from misery from ordinary honest people by their trickery and often fake “rules and “contracts” . They are the shylocks of the modern age, hiding within the margins of legal legitimacy. Challenge them and they will fade back into the evil shadows they emerged from. Shame upon anyone that works for them claimining “they are only doing their job”. They are an accursed enterprise founded upon falsehood, threats and fake legitimacy. If you work for them, you yourself are cursed. Claiming you were “just doing your job” will not save you. You are working for an evil, satanic enterprise. See how your Karma works out.

I recently dropped off friends off fro a holiday at Heathrow. Their pet in my care became very unwell. The stress and worry this caused + the vet visit, I forgot to pay the drop off charge in the given timeframe. I wrote to the Heathrow Terminal Drop Off Team, explaining the situation with supporting evidence and they kindly reimbursed the fine was issued. I am so grateful for their understanding and kindness. We need more of this, in this world.
