On July 25 APCOA stole my money!!
On July 25, I was WRONGFULLY fined by APCOA at Himmelbjerget. Being the first experience with paid parking, and a visitor, I was not aware about placing the ticket in my front window. I wrote to them explaining my situation, and sent them the parking ticket I had bought. They refused to reverse the fine and did not even choose to deduct the measly 10 kroner I paid for the parking. IMAGINE being fine a HUNDRED EURO for a 10 KRONER parking fee.
Besides this, I paid for 3 entries for Himmelbjerget Tårn.The gate did not open the first time, so I had to do it again. My mobile pay app says that they have charged me 4x10kr instead of 3x10kr. I tried to make a complaint online, and they do not have a complaint form for anything except parking fines. I tried to upload proof that they took extra money from me and their system will not accept a png image THOUGH it DOES say that I CAN upload a PNG image!! WHAT?!?!
So in effect, they have made an extra 20 kroner on my visit to Himmelbjerget, besides the 795 kroner fine they charged. Imagine making 20 kroner off 10000 people per day. THAT is a LOT of STOLEN money per day!!Though for me it is not so much about the money as it is about the helplessness I feel as a customer who has been unfairly treated and not heard.
I called the CustomerService number and all I got was a local call center who could not influence the decision, but told me if I had 'any other problem in the future', she would HAPPILY help me AND speak in English!! HAHAHA! WHAT a joke.
THIS is one of my most terrible customer service experiences ever!
APCOA I wish I could speak to SOME PERSON to sort this out!!! It is terrible that you hide behind an online complaint form that offers the people you steal from a VERY limited space to explain their situation, AND you do not have a telephonic customer service method to actually SOLVE problems.
Trust pilot needs to also give -star ratings. The lowest is 1 star, and APCOA has earned a -5 from me. How do I rate them that?
If i could give a -5 stars
If i could give a -5 stars, i would. It was horrible that we paid for parking but didnt know we had to place the ticket at the window, we kept it safely with us. It was horrible that we got charged 100 euros for a 10 Danish Kroner parking charge.
We wrote to them and explained the situation, but we got a no reply respinse. What a bunch of theives. Straight out theives!! We are visiting Denmark and they have ruined out holiday.
Parked at the Bray dart station
Parked at the Bray dart station. Not clear how to pay for parking. One option displayed was to download Apcoa app. Noted payment taken in dollars? Wasnt sure if parking paid as received no email confirmation so paid again in Dart station. Contacted by VISA fraud squad yester to say fraudulent activity on our account resulting from Apcoa app and 36e take. Had to cancel visa cards.Rang Apcoa to tell them and they said they hadnt heard of this before which isnt correct as per messages below. They offered no help!
Brutal service
Tried to pay for parking at the one machine I could see in the car park at Tullamore train station:
1. Machine was not working.
2. Attempted to download the Apcoa app but it wouldn't accept my AIB credit card.
3. Tried to ring Apoca (Saturday afternoon) but could only listen to a recorded message telling me to wait for an agent. I gave up waiting.
As I was about to leave, a helpful IR staff member informed me there was another machine in the station. Thankfully, it was working. I paid with the credit card the app refused to accept. Will never try the app again.
Subsequently, I note reviews include references to credit / debit cards being suspended due to fraudulent activity. My card was also suspended shortly after Apcoa activity; is it a coincidence?
Dreadful and stressful experience
Dreadful and stressful experience in trying to pay for parking. It wouldn’t let me use the phone if using a different car than last time, tried to pay by card on the machine but no option for this. I have use the same parking several times and every time people in front of me take about 10 mins to figure out how to use the machine. Shocking, parking operators should be ashamed of themselves. What is NHS doing about this?
APCOA - Avoid at all costs!!
The apcoa app only allowed me to book for all day which I didn't want, it said on the display board that I could book for 2, 4 or 6 hours or all day but the app would only allow all day. It is not the easiest app to book with. I accidentally booked the parking against the wrong car (my mistake) I contacted the company to get this switched across to the correct car as I realised I had made the mistake, but this was refused. I will make all attempts to not park in a car park controlled by this company.
Terrible stressful experience
Luckily arrived at Brough station in good time. Tried to use the QR code to register. Went through the whole process twice and each time it would not let me proceed. Rang the number and they cut me off before I could give them a number plate. Eventually succeeded in paying. Whole process was stressful and a terrible start to our break away. There was a queue of people all struggling to sort out parking payments. Will not use again, In 2023 the process is a joke
So difficult to use the app
So difficult to use the app. Made us late for our train, I'm sure the company make it deliberately difficult to try and get more money from people
Terrible company
Terrible company. I forgot to pay for my station parking. My bad. But I didn’t realise until I a debt collection agency contacted me for £155. I didn’t get the initial notification not the opportunity therefore to pay £50. Escalation back to apcoa they just refused to even consider it. There’s no way to escalate even when they don’t follow due process! I’m down £105 for no reason! So angry
Parked at Brighton station
Parked at Brighton station, had trouble downloading app, took me 10 minutes to find a phone number where I booked 2 days on the automated call but it's not 2 days as it ends at 4am. I'm actually leaving at 10am so I need to pay for another 6 hours but it won't let me. It only lets me do another 2 days. Am I supposed to get up at 3.59am in order to book another 6 hours? I finally managed to download the app but it's useless, it only let's me extend by 2 days. I don't want 2 days! No humans on the phone. Dreadful
Worst parking experience ever website…
Worst parking experience ever website is not user friendly I guess that's on purpose so you get a fine APCOA telephone never gets answered SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN BY TRADING STANDARDS ASAP
RECEIPT OF PARKING PAYMENT NOTICE FROM…
RECEIPT OF PARKING PAYMENT NOTICE FROM APCOA AT RDE HOSPITAL EXETER
I have received a Parking Payment Notice from APCOA on a specific date and time for parking at RDE Hospital Exeter. Ihave evidence to substantiate payment was made at the time, as the parking machine generated a receipt containing pertinent information such as the car registration, date, and time.
However, it should be highlighted that the aforementioned receipt lacks a reference number, which is a mandatory requirement for submission on the APCOA appeal web page. Furthermore, attempts to obtain a response through the provided telephone number have proven unsuccessful, and the "live chat" function has consistently remained unstaffed.
In an effort to address this matter, correspondence has been forwarded to the Managing Director, Kim Challis . It is imperative to emphasize that APCOA, being the entity responsible for issuing both the parking receipt and subsequently the Parking Payment Notice, is I believe engaged in fraudulent activities aimed at extracting funds. This concern has been duly reported to the local Police.
Diabolical company, avoid if you can!!
The apcoa app only allowed me to book for all day which I didn't want, it said on the display board that I could book for 2, 4 or 6 hours or all day but the app would only allow all day..the phone apcoa booking charged me £9 for 6 hours when it said £7:50 on the board. I am utterly appalled by this company and think I might report them to trading standards..
I Feel Ripped Off
I regularly travel to London from Ashford International station and the car parks I regularly use were full so I used car park F for the first time in a while. Unbeknown to me this car park was taken over by Apcoa, so I downloaded the app for the first time and entered my details. I had 15 minutes before my train arrived and it was raining, so I hastily completed my details and then open my banking app to authorise payment - job done, so I thought - my banking app approved payment and I thought nothing of it. I returned to my car later that day to find a PCN on my window. Having read the comments on this review and the number of complaints, I do feel aggrieved and certainly will not be parking in this or any other Apcoa car park again. The app is useless and certainly is not as easy as Ringgo, which explains why their car parks are full in town. Don't bother ringing the number they supply, you will be just kicked off the call. The only thing I will add is at least Dick Turpin had the audacity to wear a mask.... I feel aggrieved giving a one star rating, I wish Trustpilot offer negative star ratings.
Check your credit card for incorrect payments! Terrible customer service
I have an active monthly subscription but I have been charged multiple times for parking my car in one of the areas already covered by the monthly subscription. The same issue happened to other neighbors, there must have been a system issue in those days.
I have raised a case with the Apcoa customer service a month ago, I haven't received any reply yet!
I have tried to call the Customer support number and I was told that they do not have any system to check my inquiry and I have just to wait and pray for a reply and to get my money back!
If it wasn't the only parking facility in the area where I live, I would have cancelled my subscription long time ago.
They have billed me for parking in a…
They have billed me for parking in a country I wasn't even in, which isn't their fault; however, to rectify this, they have been awful.
The app is rubbish; the customer service is rubbish, it appears that awful people run them with no concept of good customer service.
They are money hungry, I wouldn't recommend parking somewhere that doesn't use them, protect yourself and don't fund them to continue to hurt people and park elsewhere

Got clamped in error as I had purchased…
Got clamped in error as I had purchased 2 tickets which gave me 80 minutes.
Had to pay 125 fine and appeal fine.
Got response saying it cost 2 euros for 60 minutes but my 2 tickets said I had 80 minutes.
So I have to appeal again what a waste of time.
Shocking service avoid at all costs.
Amazing the reviews here something the company should hang their head in shame for.

I am part of a Facebook group where everyone complains about this parking situation. As a newcomer to Denmark, I had no idea that such fraudulent companies existed.
These companies deduct your monthly subscription without any prior notice, whether it be through email, SMS, or phone call. When you contact them, they redirect you to their website, which lacks any useful information and falsely claims that the monthly payment is active and everything is fine.
Since last Thursday, I have been forced to pay for parking by the hour. I have sent them two emails, including all the invoices, but I am still awaiting a response. It is incredibly frustrating to witness how an entire area in Valby is held hostage by such scam companies that operate freely, knowing that nobody can hold them accountable.
It is important for all of us to come together and consider seeking legal assistance or filing a complaint with Parkeringsklagenævnet. We need to provoke some kind of reaction from them or, at the very least, push for improvements to their app and website, which are currently pathetic and utterly useless.
This company is a scam.
This company is a scam.
In Galway (Dyke Road), we park the car and went to buy a ticket from their machine which does not take CC payment.
As I had no cash, I went to buy a ticket from another of their machine.
3 hours later my car was clamped and I had to pay 125 euros for the clamp to be removed.
Later I learned that the ticket I bought was not valid for the car park I used.
They of course do no try to explain or advertise the situation from their advertising.
That is a very sinister way to squeeze money out of people, but I wont get caught twice as I will never use this car park again.
Ticket at Beaconsfield station
Have been a full blown ticket for not parking within the lines at Beaconsfield station. Simply absurd. Apcoa you should know better. Very poor.
