Fabulous moisturisers but don’t clear eczema

As a luxury range of moisturisers I would give 5 stars, as both the illuminate oil and the calm cream feel lovely on the skin, great sustainable packaging and soothing for sensitive skin. But the product markets itself as a miracle cure for medical skin conditions and my experience is that it simply isn’t. My eczema and dermatitis on my upper lip and nose creases and behind my ears are still very much present after a few months using this. Lips and nose and ears still scaly and cracking. So while the products don’t aggravate it, they don’t clear the issue. I refuse to keep using steroids as it clears for a week then it’s back so it’s a never ending cycle.
So for gentle moisturisers the price point for me is just too high and after I finish these I’ll go back to my big bottles of Avene, La Roche Posay or good old cetaphil. They are soothing and also designed with these skin conditions in mind with a more sustainable price point for me, even if less luscious.
I’ll probably buy a bottle of the exfoliator from apothecary though and give that a try, as it’s hard to find a good one for eczema prone skin that won’t rip your face off. And I do like apothecary products a lot. If more affordable would probably keep using.
So in summary the products are lush, feel like velvet on the skin, but for me don’t live up to their claims of eradicating stubborn skin conditions like eczema or dermatitis so ultimately too expensive for me for what they are. Worth a shot though if you have the money as other reviews say they work wonders, just be prepared for them not to magically clear your skin.

Product to amaze you.

I don’t normally write reviews but this is well deserving. I bought the illuminating oil last week, with the exfoliating oil. Starting slowly just using the illuminating until I feel I can exfoliate without any flare up. Well really what can I say, without a doubt this is a product that has impressed me so much. Started using on Tuesday and could tell by Wednesday I was going to love it. For a year 18 months I’ve been struggling with roseasa, awful pustules since coming off topical steroids, (that quick fix turned into years of usage)
Granted seeing a facialist and prescribed skin friendly products has helped the skin barrier and helped with redness. Dermatologist were just interested in quick fixes, so went to see a level 7 facialist for help. We are winning slowly But I could not control the spots, gaining more and more. I was getting obsessed with my diet. Thinking it was impacting me, living in misery, was trying to get my gut health right. Which I continue to do. But since starting my skin routine with
Apothecary and me my skin has slowly got clearer and clearer throughout the week, I’m pretty much 100 clear in just a few days. Nothing has done this for me. My skin is turning around so much in just a few days. In a month or 2 I will post a couple of pics of before and after as I feel it will be something to be really proud of. Thankyou Anita for this wonderful product. I’m just amazed. Plus the beautiful way it’s packaged made it feel really special on opening.

Bottled magic!

I have to say, I love the Illuminate Oil!!
After using it twice a day for only one week, myself and my 12yr old daughter have already really noticed the difference in our skin!
I’ve never been a fan of body/face oils as I’ve always found them too oily, leaving a horrible residue so i’ve avoided them! But the Illuminate Oil is completely different! It’s lighter, not greasy at all and my face feels so much smoother after using it. My daughter had little breakouts and a touch of eczema on her hairline - after two weeks of using the oil, it’s all gone! Her skin looks so beautiful.
It’s honestly amazing, pure magic all packed up into a beautiful bottle and nicely packaged up too!! 🌿

Amazing!

Been using the oil for the last couple weeks and definitely seen some amazing results! My skin feels so soft and smooth and even my eyebrows and beard feel much softer. It’s made skincare a blessing being able to rely on one product, also to genuinely know not only the what your putting on your skin is, but that also is environmentally friendly is always a big bonus!
