The state of this place has declined drastically since last year! Filthy tanks, lots of dead fish, dead corals. Was served by a very big guy who smelled dreadfully bad!

I ordered a custom tank on the 9th of January. I called to confirm details, and the people I spoke to were helpful and friendly. I called a few times during February, and eventually arranged to have the tank delivered. Roughly 8 weeks later, on 2026-03-03, the tank was delivered, but it arrived with a leak. I called the business back immediately, and they sent their delivery man back to put up the tank the same day. I understand that tanks can have imperfections, so while not ideal, this alone is not such a problem. What I take issue with is everything that followed.
I did not receive any communication from the Aquatic Design Centre for several days. I called them 2026-03-06, several days after the tank was returned, asking whether they would be able to repair and re-deliver it, or offer a refund; I wanted to know what could be done, and my options. I was told they would get back to me.
Three and a half weeks later I called them again, on 2026-04-02, and was told they would deliver the tank on 2026-04-08. No tank, no calls, no emails. They just didn't show up, and have not reached out to offer any explanation. On Friday, 2026-04-17 I called them again to ask about the order, and I was assured they would call me to arrange a delivery for the following week. It is now Tuesday over a week later, (2026-04-28), and I have finally received a call to deliver the tank tomorrow. I will again update this review if it actually arrived.
I recently moved into the area and found out about the this place, decided to visit them and would rate them 10 stars if I could. The staff are always busy but have been super helpful and knowledgable every time I’ve visited. A real gem in London.
Not only was the shop a shambles, i.e. stock everywhere in the isles and people running up and down with hosepipes, display tanks are filthy and water damaged, all lids are broken etc. Staff are non-existent, and when we did find one we were informed he only works downstairs and can't help us upstairs and walked off, didn't bother at all to get somebody else to help!! I wasn't the only one getting annoyed either, other people were leaving having had enough of waiting and being pushed aside by hosepipes.
