Worst company I have ever had the…

Worst company I have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to work for. I started working when it was run by castle marinas who actually cared about their staff. If you dare to complain the senior management go on a witch hunt and try to make your life a misery or spiteful is probably a better description. The last month I was there was awful during my notice period. I was getting nasty emails from senior management and had to fight to get everything I was owed. I'm still battling now to get a refund on my unused electricity because of the incompetence of an ex colleague. I have taken legal action now so hopefully hopefully they'll do the right thing. If you're thinking of joining this farcical organisation I'd think it through very carefully.

They say "Aquavista promises much but…

They say "Aquavista promises much but delivers nothing" gets more true by the day. Used the new, much herald MORE card at The Swan and Salmon, in Newark, supposedly accepting the card and offering 20% off food. The staff had never heard of it,spoke with the manager who also had never heard of it I rest my case. Aquavista promisers who not only do not deliver, but do not care.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service, administration and value. Whilst some of the staff are wonderful and do their very best, the management and processes are woeful and contradictory. We have seen the introduction of hidden charges, binding clauses, complete failure to deliver facilities or promised service. Sail past unless you are desperate, but know it will be expensive.

Treat their customers badly

This company does not listen to their customer feedback and if you complain you can be thrown off the marina which for a residential moorer is really quite frightening. As you have not rights in law as a moorer you either have to toe the line or move. Dont bother raising any concerns as they really dont care. Avoid this expensive company who dont care about their customrs.

Apsley Marina

Apsley Marina: I only wish we knew what it was like before handing over £7500. Within couple months we wanted to leave. With the lack of facilities ( 1 washing machine / 1 drying ) for around 80 people is appalling. Often Id be up late at night hand washing in the kitchen sink. Only 1 pump out that continuously breaks down, hence have no toilet on board until its fixed. But most of all it was the rude uncaring staff:

My partner became seriously ill, which many other residents would ask how he is going, other their support etc, not once did any of the staff ask about his health. In fact, he has a disability and I recall 1 night a staff member was screaming at him outside the boat. In shock and concerned I came out to find 1 of the staff shouting at him about a plastic bag that was picked up from the laundry by mistake. (apparently the staff member had asked for the bag twice) as I explained, he is so ill he would not remember conversations from early in the day and to leave him alone and speak with me. He then started shouting at me, I promptly told him to get of my boat and this staff member told me to be quiet or he have us thrown out of the marina the next day. (Hello, I am not the one shouting at a very ill disabled person)

Obviously, we reported this to the Managing Director, and he did nothing and blamed us for the plastic bag. I said “ it is an empty plastic bag “ I said what about the way in which your staff was screaming at a ill disabled person. He had nothing to say…unbelievable. (we are taking this further)

No way we were going to continue on living in such a nasty environment and gave notice according to the contract but ended up leaving 5 weeks earlier. Contractually we were due 5-week refund. I personally contacted the Managing Director and he refused to refund the money

No way we were going to continue on living in such a nasty environment and gave notice according to the contract but ended up leaving 5 weeks earlier. Contractually we were due 5-week refund. I personally contacted the Managing Director and he refused to refund the money and we are now taking them to court. Unbelievably he has someone else in the same spot collecting double rent for the same mooring.
During our nightmare of a stay we come across drug users openly using around the marina , we had deliveries stolen from our boat, parcels from the mail room, none marina members in the facilities room late at night, people kicking our belonging into the water, guy ran onto our boat 1 night and start taking photos, laundry go missing, Just some of the issues unaddressed at the marina. When we complained about issues the company always came back with the same excuse: this was our fault and as such we must deal with the problem.
The biggest insult is the Managing Director keeping our money and adding even more stress but taking stressful court action. Aspley was the worse experience I have ever encountered in the boat industry; never would I pay up front again your end up in a court battle.
