Quirky Corner
Quirky Corner – Banbury’s Best Kept Secret
A Quirky Corner in Castle Quay is an absolute must-visit! This charming gift and homeware shop is bursting with character and packed full of unusual, sustainable, and affordable finds you just won’t see elsewhere. From one-of-a-kind furniture and quirky ornaments to soft furnishings and handmade gifts, every piece feels thoughtfully sourced or lovingly created.
Walking through the door is like stepping into a kaleidoscope of colour and creativity. Each shelf and display reveals something different – a vintage-style chair, a statement lamp, or a playful ornament guaranteed to lift your spirits. It’s the kind of place you could happily browse for ages, uncovering surprise after surprise.
The mastermind behind Quirky Corner is Gary Anderson, a familiar face to many from his long career at A Touch of Furniture in Banbury and Bicester. When that shop sadly closed last year, Gary transformed the setback into an exciting new venture – and the result is truly wonderful. His passion for design, eye for detail, and welcoming nature are evident in every corner of the shop. On top of that, Gary champions local artists and makers, meaning you’ll always come across distinctive, one-off creations you won’t find anywhere else.
Supporting an independent business like this feels extra special, knowing how much heart and care goes into it. I’m delighted to see Gary doing so well, and I have no doubt Quirky Corner will go from strength to strength.
If you’re anywhere near Banbury, make sure to stop by – you’re bound to leave with something unique and a smile to match.
