Mike was excellent from start to finish. The dinner was superb. He used fresh local ingredients and his deserts were delicious. What made the experience even more special was his engagement with our young children who were fascinated watching him.

Michael catered for a party of 7 for my wife's birthday. The dishes he cooked were superb! Prepared and presented with care and imagination - and they tasted fabulous! I cannot recommend highly enough.

Michael delivered a fantastic menu with the emphasis on reflecting local in season fare available in mid-November. Each course was a culinary delight. Michael is highly recommended by all in our birthday group.

While our family was on a trip to Scotland from the USA, we had the pleasure of having Michael host a multi-course meal for our group of 9. Everything was absolutely delicious and everyone continues to rave over all the unique dishes we were able to try. I think Michael’s services were an incredible value, and I appreciate his professionalism and help as we planned this experience from abroad. I could not recommend Argyll Experience enough. We will cherish this memorable meal forever!

Superb variety and choices of menus of locally sourced foods. Fantastic original dishes. We enjoyed a wonderful Highland taster celebration dinner for which Michael gave a brief introduction to each course which was much appreciated.

We had an exceptional experience from initial enquiry, choosing menus, to Michael executing the food on the day. Nothing was a bother to him. He has brilliant communication, really good value for money and the food was exquisite with locally sourced produce.
We held a birthday celebration for 12 of us (including kids) Michael was very quick on preparing the food and it was lovely that he encouraged the kids to help him and really involved them. The food was so fresh, seasoned to perfection and served with a smile. I would 100% recommend booking Michael, it was a real treat!

Had the pleasure of having Mike create a delicious meal for a recent 30th Birthday! Everything was absolutely delicious! And for the few people with dietary restrictions, no flavour or deliciousness was compromised. He created incredible dishes and was so lovely and passionate about each dish and the local ingredients. Highly recommend!

Every course was delicious, portion sizes were great and Mike the chef introduced each dish with detail and enthusiasm!

We hired chef Mike for a couple of nights for our wedding celebration, and I have to say, he did not disappoint! It’s hard to put into words just how special he made our celebration and how important he was to all of us having an amazing time.

He put together a fantastic menu for us, catering to everyones’ preferences and palate, even my 6 year old nephew who is a bit of a picky eater. The dishes were very creative and had incredible flavour profiles. Most, if not all, his ingredients were sourced locally, which made the dishes all the more unique and special. You can tell he is passionate about his craft and understands hospitality. He was also very professional and personable throughout, from our initial email communications right the way through the weekend. We can’t sing his praises enough!

Hire him for your special event and you and all your guests will have a very memorable experience.

We booked Mike for our Silver Anniversary weekend. He prepared a buffet one night and a sit down dinner on the second night. Both were excellent, with great food, well prepared and great service from Mike and his team. Mike was able to adapt the menu for a couple of our guests with special dietary needs and incorporate it into the overall meal seamlessly. We had a few last minute changes but Mike took those in his stride and we had a wonderful couple of evenings. I would highly recommend Argyll Exclusive for any private dining experience.

Mouth-wateringly good food! Michael's fine dining is a food experience like no other. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be booking him again! A well deserved 5 stars. Thank you!

Can't recommend Michael enough, such an amazing experience, from our initial enquiry right through to the meal and beyond.
He gave us a wide selection of food options to choose from and came up with an unique menu just for us. Presentation and service was outstanding and he made our special occasion even more memorable. Thanks to Sarah too who helped serve our meal.
Most impressive, was he managed to keep his cool after bashing his head several times on the low castle door frame 🤕

Our family party of 8 were delighted with the whole experience. Lovely food, well cooked and presented with a knowledgeable description of each course by the chef. Everything quickly cleared and tidied away after. Would highly recommend.

Superb tasting menu for 12 with so many highlights. Mike was brilliant and ably assisted by Pauline to produce a 5 star menu for a family birthday. He was able to deal with gluten, dairy and pulse allergies with no difference to the taste.

Michael provided a finish at home meal for our wedding party the night before the wedding and also the wedding meal itself. Both were excellent and attention to detail was perfect. We were so delighted with everything and the wedding meal itself was amazing. Everyone complimented the quality and the presentation, even the kids meals were thoughtfully prepared. Perfect choice for our special day.

Michael created a beautiful meal from his seasonal tasting menu for our family celebration. We were so impressed by the variety of flavours and the trouble he took to prepare such a vast array of high quality local ingredients carefully sourced form Argyll all the while taking into account fairly strict dietary requirements. We also appreciated his introductions and explanations as each course was served and that we could enjoy such an amazing meal in our own surroundings with no washing up and the kitchen left immaculate.

Our extended family of 19 had the distinct pleasure of 5 exquisite dinners prepared by Michael and his team while on holiday.
Michael put together fantastic and diverse menus that were executed perfectly.
They staff that worked with Michael (Tim!!) were excellent and flexible as dinners had to be pushed back a bit on occasion.
I highly recommend Argyll Exclusive and would love to use them again!

Had a meal cooked and served by these guys recently with my sister and our family. The whole experience was amazing. The quality of the food was second to none, as was the attention to detail, including gluten free requirements. I'm only gutted that we don't live closer by !

The food was absolutely delicious and spot on. Our guests could not stop raving about it. It truly exceeded our expectations. Sean and I are such foodies and wanted our guests to get a taste of some Scottish cuisine, which you were able to deliver and put your own spin on! We were both so nervous and had so much going on that day that we unfortunately didn't have our usual appetite but still managed to try everything. The steak especially was cooked perfectly and we heard great things from our vegetarians! The highlights were the steak, scallops, black pudding, potatoes (served with the steak), and the soup.

Thank you for providing such an intimate dinning experience that our guests will forever remember. We do apologize that we were a wee behind schedule but appreciate you being so accommodating and flexible.
