All about the bottom line

Aritzia’s business approach demonstrates very little care for its customers. Their exchange and return policies are restrictive and punitive. For Black Friday sales, they offer steep discounts on a number of its products but for “Final Sale”. They do not offer any exchange, store credit or returns - even if there is a gift certificate. At the very least, an exchange should be considered given that the sizing is inconsistent for a number of their brands and products. There is a recurring theme here at Aritzia to make business decisions to maximize their margins, at the expense of customer service and the customers suffer time and time again.

Overcharged

They overcharged me and would not refund their mistake. Would not recommend. I was charged for 3 items and only 2 delivered. Dealing with customer service was stressful, long, exhausting, and got no where but the agent not trusting me and not refunding me. 1 star

WORST customer service I’ve ever…

WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. I placed an order to only send an email more than two weeks later to receive a reply they apologize I should have received an email letting me know my order is no longer available online for delivery. And not even we apologize for the inconvenience here’s 10% off next purchase. Nothing. Been a loyal customer for over 15 years. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed! We bought a coat, second choice from my daughter, but then we found the first choice of coat on another store so we went back for return. Because today was black Friday, Aritzia in Carrefour Laval in Quebec , did not want it to reimburse us even if the coat wasn't on special! They told us to come back the next day. Really expensive and no service. For my daughter was a shock so never again we will come back there. Plus is pretty expensive and no service at all. We had to buy the first choice coat for my daughter, and we are talking about more than 300$ .

Although I love the style of this…

Although I love the style of this Canadian brand which I got to know when living in Vancouver for a summer, I have to say the quality has dropped considerably and returns are too expensive from Australia, so no more Artizia for me. But im a big fan of other Canadian brands :)

Never even got my package

The shipping took way too long. On their page it said 2-11 days for Europe region. After the 15th day i had a concierge person reach out to me to tell me they were unable to deliver the package. Never ever happened to me when shopping from other online sites. Would not recommend.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Customer service sucks!!!! COUNT YOUR freaking DAYSSSSSSSS… I’ve missed so many outings due to customer service missing up my damn address.. I have been on the phone with them 5 times already.. this company do not own up to anything!!! I am so over them.

They don’t honour their mistakes

I purchased a long, Wilfred, calf length, no sleeve cardigan made from 100% Marino. The instructions said to hand wash and lay flat to dry. I did exactly that. The cardigan shrunk so badly I couldn’t put my arms through the arm holes. After speaking several customer service rep, they requested I send photos, so I did along with the style number and other details to verify it was bought from them as I didn’t have my receipt. The cardigan was years old and I didn’t have my receipt. After days of emails and numerous people involved, I phoned and insisted to speak to a supervisor. She wouldn’t honour their own mistake… that being, the information on how to care for your garment was incorrect and should be removed for future buyers. I do know that their has been complaints made regarding the same cardigan, however the company refused to do anything to rectify the problem. Be aware that their customer service reps (I refuse to call them concierge) all sound like programmed robots. They must have guidelines to read from.
I will never purchase anything from this company again.

First and last time customer

I usually never take the time to write a bad review for a product; however, I was so disappointed by the way this company's customer service that I decided to this time.

On Wednesday, August 24th, a package worth $296 was supposedly delivered to my home (one day before the estimated delivery window closed). I received no delivery confirmation from Aritzia, so I waited until the end of the estimated delivery window before checking the tracking number on FedEx. I was surprised that the package was marked as delivered and contacted both FedEx and the company. I never heard back from FedEx and Aritzia took days to reply, saying that they would launch an investigation. By that time, it was too late to file a missing package claim through my credit card. Another few days later, they replied with a blurry photo of a nondescript package taken by FedEx. In the years I've lived at my residence, we have NEVER had any package stolen of the hundreds we've had delivered — I'm still attempting to see if any neighbors have footage of what happened to the package... What was TRULY disappointing was the way Aritzia's customer service team responded in light of the situation — when I wrote them asking how to proceed, they responded (days later) saying that they would offer no refund or replacement, and followed with this:

"Our goal is to provide world-class service and seamless order experiences. In an effort to deliver on this, we will no longer be able to ship online or boutique orders to you. We very much welcome you to continue shopping in our boutiques and hope to see you there soon."

So not only did their customer service team take forever to reply (which caused me to miss out on other opportunities to potentially be refunded for the still-missing package), but they not-so-subtly accused me of theft right off the bat. It was my first time shopping there, and I can say without a doubt that it will be my last.

Horrible refund policy. Will never shop here again.

I bought something last week that was discounted for sale for a measly $4 off. Not that serious. Not even 50% off. Less than 10% off. The discount was for no reason, so it’s not like I asked for it.

The tops ended up being too big so I wanted to exchange them for a smaller size. I live chat them and they told me that if I want them for the original sale price ($4 off per top), then the new order will be final sale and non-returnable because it's considered a "price adjustment". What kind of company does that?

Not only that, but when I said I’ll just return the tops (since I didn’t want to deal with the potential of getting a new item that still won’t fit and can’t return), they told me that the return of my original order would still be store credit or gift card only. This is incredibly infuriating because this item was less than 10% off and it wasn’t even a choice nor listed as final sale. Imagine buying a $200+ blazer from them and getting a $20 discount then being told you can’t return the blazer for a full refund if it doesn’t fit? Also, the person on live chat messaged me sounding really snarky like they're selling some $500 luxury underwear. Relax.

I’m tempted to file a dispute with my credit card company now because I never heard of such a horrible return policy. Because of this measly <10% discount, I'm forced to return this item online for store credit, PAY for the return, wait 7-10 business days AFTER they receive the items to get store credit and forced to re-order a different size at full price along with losing money from shipping. There's no guarantee that the sizes will be available in the colors I want after all this. And again, this is expected for scam websites and cheap fast-fashion companies but I didn’t expect this from Aritzia especially when their prices aren’t exactly low. I’m never purchasing from them ever again. FYI: the 2 items I bought were the Babaton Knit Bra Top that retails at $48 a piece. This "no full refund for minuscule discounts that no one asked for" thing is very predatory and seems like a scheme that they came up with to avoid getting returns and full refunds to customers. Do better, Aritzia.

[Edit] I've went ahead and filed a dispute because Aritzia kept playing games. For 2 weeks, they told me they refunded to my original payment (Paypal) but I've yet to receive it. I contacted them twice and each time, they asked me to speak to Paypal so I filed a dispute on Paypal. I've never had this problem with any other company that refunds via Paypal. I suspect Aritzia is purposely trying to get me to use the merchandise credit DESPITE agreeing to refund me via Paypal. I'm tired of companies constantly playing games.

I used to be a huge fan of Aritzia up…

I used to be a huge fan of Aritzia up until a few years ago. Before I started a business I used to be a sales associate at an Aritzia location. Their clothes are not as sustainable as they say they are. They are made and manufactured the same as fast fashion. So the prices you're paying are ridiculous. Not to mention, the way they treat their workers are ridiculous. They are super rude and don't care about your priorities and personal life. There's been several times where my manager would schedule me completely outside of my availability. I could go on and on about Aritzia.

Received amazing customer service from…

Received amazing customer service from Aritzia. I am pleasantly surprised. Recently my package was stolen from my mailroom and their client service team took care of it immediately and helped me get a refund. I never get such amazing treatment through other online stores so I’m super happy to see this. Thank you Aritzia for taking care of your customers.

In a toxic relationship with Aritzia..

I have been shopping at Aritzia since 2004, and feel like it's finally time to get out of this terrible relationship! Ever since they exploded on TikTok and have been focusing on scaling in the US, the quality of the clothes have declined so much. It's terrible. I used to love their clothes because they were high quality, fit my body well without alterations, and lasted many washes and wears - but now I feel lucky if an item doesn't fall apart in the washer, or arrive to my house without snags. Also, the new designs look like they are from Shein?? Aritzia used to have such beautiful, classic, timeless pieces. Now they just have the exact same styles year over year, but in new colors each season. There is only so many sweatsuits or sculpt knit tanks that one person needs.

Furthermore - I used to love Clientele time, when they would give you a gift with purchase, as a small token of appreciation for your loyalty (like speakers, towel, candle, wallet, etc) but they don't do this anymore since 2020. Personally for me, this was one of the things that made the brand unique from other clothing retailers. Now I feel theres nothing special about them.

Not to mention the TERRIBLE return policy. They will discount an item $5.00 and tell you it's "final sale". They also no longer allow for price adjustments - they used to allow this if you bought something within a two week window and the price reduced further. But now - they say nope, too bad!!! Also - they make you pay $8.00 now to return an item... Like... So so terrible. You get a return label, but once you send something back they will deduct $8.00 from your refund.

I remember back in the days when they only had a few stores, at the cash registers they would have signs saying "it's a woman's perrogative to change their mind". This is basically non existent now.

I want to move on from Aritzia and buy clothes from other retailers. .. Someone please show me the way how.

Worst customer service and from very bad to scamming returning/ exchange policy. Be aware that even stuff with 5% discount, you still cannot return or exchange. Aritzia customer service was rude and she acted as if the company was selling Chanel clothes! The return label was placed inside the package but the staff kept insisting that I could not return the package LOLlll!Used to be buying many stuffs here but now I could confidently run away from this scammer. They will go bankruptcy soon with this type of service and overcharged price.
