I was really excited to try but unfortunately was very disappointed. Clothes looked dingy and showed too many signs of wear. I cancelled after my first delivery.

subpar selection

subpar selection, slow delivery, and confusing terms about the payments/credits with your plan. I've had positive and smooth experiences on other rental platforms.

Overall, 100% horrible!!!!

Received my first case (as a first time Armoire customer) on March 25th. Case was 100% season inappropriate. With Spring as the season, I received: a brown turtle neck bodycon dress, tan fleece jacket and black faux leather pants. (I live in mid 80-90’s degree weather). None of the clothes that I received resemble any of the styles that I liked on their website to show the stylist what I do like.
I have attempted over the course of 3 days to contact someone from this company. Initially, my hopes was to actually interact with a human and swap out the clothes for season appropriate clothes. I have now left 2 VM messages, 2 chat messages & 2 emails asking for someone from Armoire to contact me. I’ve had no response.
I would NOT get a membership from this company. Horrible customer service & horrible selection of clothes.

Best rental clothing service for any woman!

Armoire is a fantastic clothing rental service. I’ve been a satisfied customer 9 months with no issues from the quality of clothes received, shipping, or customer service. I love how easy the app is to use and the AI summary for each piece’s review is highly accurate. Their referral program is amazing as well. I hope they don’t change it. I recommend Armoire to all my girl friends!

recently canceled my membership and was…

recently canceled my membership and was disappointed with the experience. The most recent package arrived just yesterday, and none of the items fit. The styles felt outdated and didn’t match my preferences at all, and I didn’t wear a single piece. One pair of pants even arrived with a visible spot on it, which was frustrating. While the cancellation email was polite, the process still feels stressful with multiple return deadlines and the risk of being charged full retail prices after canceling. Overall, the concept is good, but the execution and cancellation process need improvement.

PROS & CONS BUT STILL MY FAV

PROS:
- Keep your rentals until your new batch arrives. - Keep your favorite items as long as you want (it goes towards an item in your next case).
- Upgraded package that allows you to swp items as many times as you want. Not exactly very ecological but nice when something doesn't fit or you have special occasions so you're not stuck with an item all month.
- Like that you can organize saved items into Collections.

CONS
- Clothing options can feel a little dated or old-lady. Good stuff is in there, but you have to scroll ... and scroll ... and scroll. I find it takes a long time to choose my items.
- It defaults to "available ow" so when searching you see the stuff no one wants or has rented. Untoggle that ....

Because of the pros, I like this service better than RTR or Nuuly but every now and then I get bored with the lack of creative options and switch it up.

I sent the below message to Armoire…

I sent the below message to Armoire within 24hrs of receiving my first delivery (known as a “case”). I did not receive the requested refund, after asking 3x.

———
First, I'd like to say that the concept and the delivery are fantastic.
Second, the Customer Engagement and communications are stellar!
Third, I love a woman-owned company, supporting women

However, I did just receive my first case, and I am returning all 4 items. :(
I know it helps to know why, so here is my feedback:

1.) The black blazer would work, but it's not a nice seamless seam at the shoulders (where eyes will be drawn the most). There's a bit of a "puff" at the top of the sleeve. Just not a clean tailor job.
2.) The red jumpsuit is too short for my torsoe and cuts me between the cheeks in back and the "toes" in front (sorry to be so crude, but I'm sure you 100% get what I'm relaying in words with this description)
3.) The pink dress screams .. grandma. And, the breast seams make their own illusion of boobs which compete with mine (red jumpsuit does the same)
4.) The black/white dress is not at all flattering (at least for my shape, dimensions for which was captured during Intake)

I'm not convinced the quality will be better if I try again, as the material and cuts all seemed very similar over 4 very different products. Respectfully request a refund as I returned everything within 24hrs, unworn.

I love the variety and the options

I love the variety and the options. I opted for the highest tier and love that I can swap out as many items as I want whenever I want. This service is flexible and I love that I can play with current trends without commuting to things I don’t love. Shipping is so fast and customer service is a breeze.

Sizing has been a challenge

Most of the clothes I have rented have been great. The biggest issue is getting the right size. I have rented some mediums that fit and some that were huge some dresses I needed a six so I needed it at eight and it was really hard to tell until you are able to try them on.

The clothes and fit were decent

The clothes and fit were decent. One of the dresses I ordered was a lot shorter than it appeared in pictures. I did want to keep a few things, but I can’t justify spending over $100 on used clothes. The worst thing was that they tout you can have fedex come get it from your front porch, but the link they provided was only to print a new shipping label. I won’t do it again out of simple lack of convenience. That made me irritated enough to write this review.

Appalling

Appalling - My order was to be delivered to a industrial business address in Brisbane, but they tried delivering at 7pm on a Friday night, and then returned the item to somewhere in Sydney on the Monday. Several attempts to get a refund or redelivery just got a response of - We have a specialist looking into the matter for you....thank you for your patience. First time buying from this company and will be the last. Appalling, Shocking service!!

poor value for money

I ordered two items a green Men's Button Denim Jacket. quality of material and jacket is poor. The jacket was not as per the picture (100% sure of this).
material is quite thin and is similar to short demin material.

Second item was a Men’s Long Sleeve Shirt, again not as per the picture. The shirt material is OK. the dimensions of the shirt are not that great. The torso length is quite short. I'm a stardard shape.

Overall value for money is poor.
Delivery time, long.
Lesson learnt, don't buy again.

What sets Armoire apart from Nuuly and Rent the Runway

Armoire is hands-down my favorite clothing rental service.

I've been a customer of Rent the Runway, Nuuly, and Armoire over the past five years—and Armoire just gets it right. Here’s why:

1. You’re never left without clothes. When you order a new case, you don’t send the current one back until the new one arrives. It’s so much better than RTR or Nuuly, which is by far the most work since you cannot place your next order until you ship back your current (and it often means you are without clothes for a week or more).

2. You can bank your swaps. No pressure to swap every month. If you don’t need a new case, you can hang on to what you have and save that swap for later. It makes the subscription feel way more flexible and worth it.

3. You don’t have to send everything back at once. Unlike Nuuly, you can hang on to the pieces you like and just return the rest—without being forced to buy them.

4. No hangers, no plastic. RTR ships clothes on hangers in plastic bags. Armoire folds everything neatly and ties it with string. It’s simple, tidy, and just feels nicer.

While I still like the clothing options at RTR and Nuuly a little more, Armoire’s service and experience win out. I never feel stressed or guilty about my subscription, and it actually feels like I’m getting my money’s worth every month.

P.S. I received an origami dress in my last case which was just a nice, personal touch. I do feel like Armoire feels a bit more personal than the other services.

I would give a 0 if it was an option

I would give a 0 if it was an option. I tried to order a case for an upcoming trip with all my items in it and hit submit. The website was spinning and it apparently did not go through. However, they charged me and would not allow me to order another case for a month!! I tried to reach out to customer service multiple times including the day I tried to order. No one ever called back. I also tried to cancel my subscription because I no longer needed it if the case was not going to be received in time for my trip but it would not allow me to do so. Nuuly has much better customer service and website and they will be getting my business in the future. I would highly recommend against a subscription with Armoire.

Low quality drop shipper

Low quality drop shipped posing as a high quality fashion warehouse, leather is actually vinyl and cheapest nasty fabrics and buttons.

The week after I purchased from them (noting I make very few online purchases) my card was flagged for suspicious activity. Their payment came was not in AUD and I was charged additional fees.

Then I had 3 $0.00 from an Amazon account that was not my own.

I emailed CS requesting refund and was offered 15%, I declined and was offered 20% all the way up to 30% which I accepted (to remain within the 30 day window) but never received any at all.
