Have recently done some exterior works at our home on behalf of Southern Housing. The back garden has been refurbished, supposedly to sort out drainage and help with major damp and mould issues within the property. However, the garden has been left in a precarious state that is mainly not fit for human use. The surveyor said this on her first visit, after completion of the job. The scheduled works are not the works that were carried out. There was a total breakdown from the start between SHG, Armour Hart and the actual builder who was “paid a wage” and had great pleasure in telling everyone this repeatedly, which is why it took him 9 weeks to do a 2 week job! Best point out he also ordered all the wrong plant hire. The builder did exactly what he wanted and kept repeating over and over that the housing trust surveyor trusted him. The garden, although on first impressions, looks ok but on closer inspection, there are other issues that need to be addressed. We contacted an independent builder who cannot believe the poor quality of the works. Housing surveyor visited once in 9 weeks who didn’t inspect the works because of the state of the garden. Armour Hart surveyors visited zero times. Strange, after we complained, the boss of Armour Hart attended with the surveyor from SHG. When we made the official complaint about Armour Hart, the Housing surveyor visited and condemned the garden. When she visited with the boss of Armour Hart, she didn’t say a word. After the meeting here with both of them, the Housing surveyor suggested that Armour Hart do the internal works. 5 x rooms and the hallway and we have had to say no, even though the property inside is damp and mouldy and has holes in the walls where the plaster is falling out. All of the above has photographic and documented evidence. Armour Hart Group’s website which has been updated this year, is totally misleading and full of falsehoods. Don’t believe all that they have printed.
