Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 2,542 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers encountered issues with their orders, frequently receiving incomplete deliveries, incorrect items, or substitutions that were not suitable. The delivery service itself was often criticized for being unreliable, with orders arriving late, at the wrong address, or not at all. Reviewers also expressed significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, describing staff as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to communicate with, especially when trying to resolve problems or obtain refunds for missing products. Some people were dissatisfied with the products themselves, citing quality issues or design flaws. Additionally, a few customers mentioned negative experiences with in-store staff, describing them as unfriendly or sarcastic. Conversely, a small portion of people were satisfied with the helpfulness of some delivery drivers and specific in-store colleagues, praising their exceptional service and positive attitudes.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Wendy H in the Omagh store who really went above and beyond as I was checking out my shopping. She really was exceptional, in every way, which was really really appreciated. So Thank you Wendy H 🙌.

Don’t care about customers

Ordered over £100 of clothes, next day delivery. They failed to deliver next day and when they did deliver it was someone else’s order completely. Customer services were shocking advising they could only replace in 3-5 working days I advised I needed the items in a set time hence next day delivery, cs refused to help. I advised just to refund the full order I would take my business elsewhere to one who can fulfil the order correctly. Interestingly cs advised they could not arrange replacement orders next day delivery yet the can arrange next day collection of orders they send out wrongly….customer is the lowest priority to Asda it would appear, stay well clear won’t shop with them again.

This is not a one off experience!!!

This is not a one off experience. I placed an order for delivery this evening, the full amount was taken from my account yesterday lunchtime. Which no other supermarket does that, with Tesco, money is taken once the items have been picked. I get an email this afternoon informing me that half of my order is unavailable with no substitutes. I have now received another email saying the driver is running late. What kind of service ( if you can call it that ) do you call that? Horrendous when you compare to Ocado and Tesco where I generally shop. I shopped with Asda for the Baby Event, I should have remembered why I no longer bother wasting my time with you !!!

I won’t hold my breath

I would like to give zero
I have just had an altercation with one of their delivery drivers. He parked over my driveway when there was no need to. As I was sat in my car I papped at him to move, he grudgingly moved about a foot but was still restricting my driveway. I again asked him to move. He refused and said he would only be 5 mins and then became abusive refusing to speak to me.
I then contacted Asda. After being cut off many times and speaking to numerous staff l gave up.
The way this guy conducted himself made it quite clear that this how he feels he can treat the general public and that Asda clearly endorse this.
I gave the help line his registration and the time of his call.
I won’t hold my breath.

Asda rewards has changed and the…

Asda rewards has changed and the telephone rewards help desk keep insisting nothing has changed. Here is an AI summary of the changes.

Yes, you’re right—it has changed. If you’ve noticed your Cashpot growing much more slowly lately, you aren’t imagining it. Asda significantly overhauled the "Rewards" scheme throughout 2025 and into 2026.

The core shift is that Asda is moving away from "Cashpot earnings" (direct money back) and toward "Rollback" prices (direct discounts for everyone).

Here is the breakdown of what has changed in how your pot is built:

1. The Death of "Star Products"
This is the biggest change. Previously, hundreds of "Star Products" gave you 10% of their price back into your Cashpot.

The Change: Asda officially phased out most Star Products in early 2025.

The Reason: They claim they have "lowered prices" on over 14,000 items (via Rollbacks) instead. In their view, a lower price at the till is better than money in a digital pot, but for loyal app users, it feels like a pay cut.

2. Fewer and Harder "Missions"
Missions used to be easy ways to get a quick £1 or £2.

The Change: Users have reported that missions are now less frequent and often require much higher spending to "unlock" the reward.

Milestones: The "Milestone" missions (e.g., spend £50 to get £1.50) have seen their thresholds increased, meaning you have to spend more to get the same bonus you used to get for less.

3. Shift to Coupons over Cash
Instead of giving you money that stays in your pot for 6 months, Asda is increasingly using timed coupons.

How it works: You might win a "Spin to Win" or a holiday promotion, but instead of 50p in your pot, you get a "£2 off a £12 spend on fish" coupon that expires in a few days.

The Catch: Unlike the Cashpot, which you can save up, these coupons force you to shop within a tight window to get the value.

4. Expiry and "Multiple of £1" Rules
A frustration for many is that you can still only convert your Cashpot into vouchers in multiples of £1.

Because Star Products are gone, it's harder to reach that next whole pound.

Any "pennies" left in your pot still expire after 6 months. If you can't reach the £1 threshold because there aren't enough missions, those pennies essentially disappear.

Tip: If you have an "odd" amount in your pot (like £0.80) and no missions are appearing, look out for the Christmas Saver window. Usually, at the end of the year, Asda allows you to transfer your pot into a Christmas pot, which sometimes lets you carry over balances that would otherwise expire.

Mince Beef !!!’

Mince Beef !!!’

Oh my, tasted some poor cuts and mushy meats before but this takes the biscuit!
The texture is like meat when it’s rancid or been frozen way too long.
Saving on plastic may be worth it to Asda but I won’t be participating in ever buying it again, I would rather have no meat in a spag Bol than ever use that again.
Rant over
Come Asda really??

Rang customers services to check

Rang customers services to check if the store had a changing room for the clothes section. Answer yes from someone with an overseas accent! Turned out to be a lie!
Anyhow the staff in store did try wnd let me use the disabled toilets to try them on. However what I did also learn is that I had to pay for the jeans prior to trying them on. The first 3 pairs where unsatisfactory. So I got two more pairs and the customer services said they would refund and recharge my card as we spoke so I could try the others on. Anyhow before leaving the store with an £18 pair of jeans, my debit card account had not been refunded. So me Mr. "MUG" apparently has to wait a minimum of 3 days to get the refund! Quite clever to make more money in a holding account. No problem taking MY money immediately hey! Fraud actually. Anyhow before any false apologies emerge! Shuve it. Be aware people! Not nice money making tactics by ASDA!

disabled driver drive off accusation

i went in to fill up at Asda Trafford park and although i struggle to walk i went into the garage to pay i presented my card for payment shown on Asda's own video it turns out the payment failed and i had already left when they realized seeing as i have a serious spinal injury which limits my speed significantly i find hard to believe they say the onus is on me to ensure the payment has gone through and now i have had a notification from a debt agency where the cost has doubled and asda say there is nothing they can do about it beware if like me you are someone who cant afford this extra cost as far as I knew. I had paid how can it be my fault? beware of this

Awful rude and patronising staff who would rather escalate the issue by antagonising customers than help. The staff push the use of self checkouts which are damaged and malfunction then have an attitude problem when asked for help, insinuating and assuming it’s your fault whilst hiding behind fake smiles and tone. They also like to play the discrimination card when they realise they’re in the wrong. Pathetic and rude. Plus the stock is dire. AVOID.

George Home Microwave went off with a bang

Purchased a George Home Microwave oven. Used it for the first time to heat some milk in a mug for less than 2 minutes. When it stopped i went to open the door and there was an almighty bang accompanied by a bright blue flash which was seen in full sunlight.
Asda didnt seem interested and just said they would exchange it but this product was unsafe.

very distressing experience I had at…

very distressing experience I had at the Asda store located on Aldwarke Lane, Rotherham (S65 3SW).

On my recent visit, I attempted to purchase a discounted shirt. Upon scanning the item, the price incorrectly showed as £6. I scanned it a second time to verify the price, but it remained the same. I immediately sought assistance from a staff member to remove both entries from my transaction. While the staff member appeared to assist, I discovered upon returning home that only one of the £6 charges had been removed, and I was charged for an item I did not leave with.

I returned to the store on Monday to rectify this with Customer Service. I explained the situation clearly and suggested that they review my purchase history or the store’s inventory logs, as I have never purchased an item for £6 and the error was due to a staff member's failure to clear the screen properly.

To my disappointment, the staff member on duty was incredibly rude and dismissive. She accused me of having purchased the item and simply seeking a refund, treating me with suspicion rather than helping a loyal customer.

As a regular shopper at Asda, I am deeply disappointed by this lack of integrity and professional courtesy

Problems with the Asda's new site

with the new website, an e-mail arrives the day before the delivery day to say I can still change it. The last 2 weeks, when I have tried to do this and then checkout I am given a message saying that my delivery pass has been cancelled. To checkout I have to change the time of the and checkout and then waiting a lengthy period to back in and change it back to my original time if it still available. There are so many other complaints I could list about their site.

Chewy mini chicken fillets

I’m not sure if they’ve changed where they buy their mini chicken fillets from, but the last 3 times I’ve bought them, I’ve had to throw them in the bin because of the texture. Chewy and not succulent like they were in the past. I’m going to try another supermarket, see what they’re like.
