Ashdene Naturist Clubis the Jewel of the North, situated in Brighouse near Leeds, an outstanding club that has a progressive outlook and is superbly managed and maintained by its directors, committee and members.
We have visited for over 10 years now and seen the club continually invest and develop, not always the case with Naturist Clubs which simply because of its niche often lack funds.
Upon arrival you are met at the secure gate with a warm welcome and directed to your chosen pitch.
There are hardstanding pitches with a water supply close by, and electric points within a few metres, and grass pitches again with water available and electric close by. There is a camping field with its own kitchen area, though we are way past camping liking our creature comforts of a motorhome!
There is a fantastic indoor heated pool, a sauna, hot tub, conservatory and patio area, licenced bar and clubhouse with Pool table etc.
There is a large green area in front of the clubhouse for sunbathing, ball games etc, there is a miniten court with a good playing surface ( travelled naturists will know some of these are like the welsh valleys and full of weeds!) there is also a petanque court.
The club is very welcoming, the members are all pleasant & friendly, and as you would expect groups of friends to develop this happens but that doesn't make it cliquey and all you find is friendly people.
The club often has supper available on saturday nights, on our last visit it was Hot Dogs Wedges and salad, and a Bring Your Own meat BBQ took place on the Sunday, again wedges and salad were provided free to accompany your steak. Or sausages...
If you are new to naturism and yet to try a club site, you must try this one first, this is the gold standard that you will come to measure the ones you visit against. We have visited dozens in the UK and abroad. This is the best one we have visited in the UK.
