Absolute robbers! Do not use! Wish I had been warned before I used this vets. Never again!
Having been with Aston Lee for over 15 years, recommended them to many friends I am gutted to be writing this. The new ownership has ruined an excellent practice. Having moved I still continued to make the journey to Aston Lee what I fool I have been. They are no longer focused on the best care for the animals but making as much money as possible. Several surgeries and thousands £ later, I find out from a real vet just one surgery would have worked if done correctly by an experienced vet. I never even saw an actual vet on all my many many visits. Is this practice run by the nurses. ££k later and no vet in sight. Don't expect any help or consideration as long as they get their money they don't care. Watch out if you don't pay on demand they will threaten to send in bailiffs even when you have been paying the extortionately high bill all along. Wow! Never again will I have anything to do with this practice.
After being a customer for over 20 years I have left them.My dog had skin issues and they did no tests no scrapes nothing, they asummed it was a bacteria and ust gave me a shampoo, which was useless and expensive, after months of this not helping I googled her skin condition for free and discovered that her skin problem was a symptom of allergies, so I had to tell them what the diagnosis was!! And then I was prescribed the right medication for her after months of wasted money time and shampoos.Over the last few years Every time you go you get a different vet or they stay just long enough to get to know you and your pet build a relationship then leave and you and your pet have to start over with someone who has no idea about your pet or its history as they don't read their medical records- my dog had allergies and every new vet wanted to take her off her medication and I would have to insist they read her notes and leave her medication alone.!!
I have since lost my dog to a brain tumour that they didn't diagnose, took her for second opinion and they diagnosed it straight away without a £3000 CAT scan!! So I will be using the better vet clinic in future.
The service we have received since Joining has been extremely poor.
Visit 1 - we took our puppy for injections, I helped hold the puppy for the vet and gave him the treats provided by the vet.
The vet didn't inject our puppy correctly, squirting the liquid over his kneck and injuring him. This caused him to be sick and continually yelp/cry and vomit from the pain - I suspect he went all the way through his skin (in and out). We then had to re-do the injection.
Visit 2 - Vet was 30 mins late to see us despite having no other patients in with him.
Issue 3 - the price of advocat vs online places is disgusting, I literally had to pay 50% more, before finding out I can pay for a prescription from them and then buy online. I understand web prices are typically a little cheaper but this is a significant amount.
Issue 4 - Called to arrange our puppies castration. Receptionist asked if I could hold for a moment. 11 mins later I hung up after still being on hold!!
Due to the service we have decided to take our business elsewhere.
