ordered item in march , only just got refund , cheap prices but beware because of lack of stock on items listed & trerrible delivery times , will not use again in any way

14 weeks for repair. Item repaired 4 weeks ago. Conflicting emails. No evidence of any effort to return item. Customer Service appalling. I must have 20 emails saying I hope we informed you well. But all they email is they have no idea where it is, they will email the supplier. No single person taking ownership

This company seems to get some bad reviews. My (single) experience of using them has been mixed, but they sorted things out very efficiently. I ordered a bike pannier bag from them, but what was delivered was a completely different item, despite the packing slip, and the postage label saying the correct item. So I called them (nice to speak to dutch folks, but perhaps a costly telephone call) and they emailed me a return postage-paid label, and dispatched the correct item. I was pleasantly surprised that they dispatched the new item even before I had posted the incorrect one back to them. So now I have what I ordered, with the minimum of fuss.

I don't often write reviews but was motivated to in this case. Before ordering from Athletshop I researched online what experience others had had. There were some very recent poor reviews. However it seemed to me that the company had responded honestly and promptly and appeared motivated to address these concerns. I went ahead and placed my order.
I quickly received communication on confirmation of my order and was told that it would be delivered within 5 working days. A day or so later I got another email saying my order had been delayed by a day. I thought that this might be the beginning of some difficulty, however I was wrong. In the event my order was delivered ONE DAY EARLIER than the original estimate and I was provided with detailed information throughout. The courier used was very sophisticated and I was able to divert my delivery to an alternative location within an hour of the original time slot. Overall I would rate this experience as being comparable with Amazon whose order fulfilment capabilities I rate highly. I would recommend Athlete Shop for great value products and great delivery service.
